Please read this before visiting Town Center Medical. Happy to discuss my experience if youd like to message me. FIRST, I CANNOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS PRACTICE. I was recently looking for a new doctor and came across Town Center Medical. I scheduled an appointment for a physical and blood work. The doctors seem OK but the way they run their business is completely mind boggling. Billing issues with this place seem to be a common occurrence and I wish I paid closer attention to this prior to making my appointment as it seems to be a theme among other reviews. After my visit I received a bill with the incorrect amount on it that needed to be adjusted by Town Center Medical. The in network doctor sent my labs out of network resulting in a very high bill. I tried calling the office everyday and could not get a response or a call back from the ONE billing person in the office. I even tried emailing and sending a message through the patient portal with no luck. It felt like I was being completely ignored. When I finally got someone on the phone in another department they told me the billing person comes and goes as they please and they couldnt confirm when they might get back to me. Believe it or not the person then confirmed with me that they always have this problem with the billing person not calling customers back. When I asked if I could talk to anyone else about it they said NO. I dont know about you but I have never had this kind of experience with another practice trying to ask a question about my bill. NEVER. I cannot in good faith recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Black is outstanding. Its a shame the office doesnt live up to the same level of excellence. Im about to change providers. Absolutely disgusted by the utter lack of urgency, professionalism and understanding. After my husband was out of insulin for days, he ended up in the ICU due to lack of returned calls and refusal to refill prescriptions without him seeing the doctor, even though he had just been there the month before. No other office has ever required an appointment before every refill of a prescription. I came in to be seen for a sinus infection and was offered a service to have my ear canals washed out and cleared up. After said service, i went to the checkout desk only to overhear an employee talking about me to his peer -for getting a service I didnt make an appointment for. I am sitting in this waiting room right now waiting with my husband due to this office not being able to get a prescription written out correctly. They actually forced us to get on the walk-in list to see the doctor and get it written out correctly. Again, we had been trying over a week to have someone put the refill in, nobody calls back. Ever. Nobody answers the phone. Ever. And when you come in person to inquire about why your calls havent been returned, you are greeted hardly with rude attitude and no concern for whether or not you will get your insulin in time to eat before tomorrow after work. Do not waste your time.

If you value your time, health and money - LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE! I was looking for a doctor closer to my place in Celebration and tried Town Center Medical and initially they were great, seemed caring but very busy which I thought was a sign of a good place... boy I was wrong! After being a patient for over 2 years, having every blood test known to man billed to my insurance company and some billed to me, even though I was told to ignore those bills, I paid some that continued to bother me, including a DNA test that I never got the results! I noticed their scheduling getting worse and the time spent with the patients get shorter, actually you would be lucky to even see Dr. Black even if you are scheduled, something always seems to come up and they put you with someone else. The other doctors are good but again you have to wait for what seems like forever to get called back, I usually book 4 hours out of work to see them. Now we just learned UnitedHealthcare has terminated Dr. Black effective 03/31/16 so that will force me to move, which I was planning on doing anyway.

This is the worst medical practice I have visited. Long story short AVOID THIS PLACE. Shockingly bad organization that is overrun with patients. The primary care person they assigned me I have literally never seen him. Always ended up with someone else and they spent a total of maybe 7-10 minutes with me. Ive had both appointments and tried their claimed walk-in service a few times. First of all dont bother with their walk-in service as you have a better chance at the lottery than seeing one of their doctors this way. Last time I tried that there were like dozens of people who showed up an hour+ before the designated time to get a handful of slots, vast majority turned away. I saw them turn away some people who seemed to have significant need. Their appointment service is not well organized and you can sit there waiting a *looong time before they grace you with a few minutes of their time. Bottom line, crowded, unorganized, zero empathy and once you are in no time is taken to learn about your condition. Avoid this like the plague.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I made an appointment today and had to leave work to go. I arrived 30 minutes early, per their request, to fill out new patient paperwork that took me approximately 2 minutes to complete. My appointment was at 11:15, and at 11:45 I was still sitting in the waiting room. I get it, most doctors offices run behind. I asked the receptionist if she knew how much longer it would be because I was missing work. I was informed that they were so behind, it would be another 30 minutes or more to be seen. That would take me well past an hour of my scheduled appointment. I informed the receptionist that I simply could not wait that long because I had to get back to work. She offered to write me a doctors note... Unfortunately a doctors note is not going to make up for the 2 hours of pay I was now missing out on. I ended up getting so frustrated that I walked out practically in tears. No resolution was offered. I am so irritated and disappointed with this place that I will never return.

I have a ruptured LCL, Dr. Tawfik ordered an MRI. I had to call around for an appointment. Once I scheduled it. The hospital called to register me. All was well until Friday at 4:30pm. I was told by the hospital the Dr.s office was supposed to get an authorization. I called the office as soon as I got off phone with the hospital. They said I should not have waited to late... I said I was unaware of the need for me to call them to make sure they got an authorization... How would I know? So supposedly they called. I called 9am Monday morning (appt at 1pm) they had no idea of the need to authorize and said they would take care of it. Guess where I am waiting? I have called 15 times in the matter of 45 mins to try and get it handled and no answer. I called my insurance and they said the office could simply call with the order to authorize...Still no answer. Why are Americans fighting to keep Obamacare? This is the reality of it. Fake Insurance
