Absolutely Horrible! Contrary to their own write up on their website...They have very little regard for patient care and I wouldnt recommend their Cocoa office to a soul! I had my 3rd visit in 6 years, 1 1/2 weeks ago and was seen by a P.A. not a physician. It was for a routine exam during which she found a questionable mole, near the end of my exam. I also showed her a spot on my scalp which I thought looked a little strange. She said to keep an eye on it for 6 weeks and if it didnt improve come back and have a biopsy done. I wanted to ask a couple of other questions but she would not allow me to ask! She told me I had to make another appointment, as patients were only allowed 15 MINUTES PER VISIT! She sure had enough time to do a biopsy though! The nurse who accompanied her was rude and acted like she hated her job. Her bedside manner was awful. The P.A. took MINUTES to think of the words to have written in the diagnosis. Ummm uhhhhh.....ummmmm. Really?? I ultimately left - disgusted, without the biopsy being done. I saw an actual physician at different place this week. I had a biopsy done for the spot on my scalp and it came back as Basal Cell Carcinoma. Florida Dermatology Associates had said to just wait and keep an eye on it. Wrong! That questionable mole the PA found? I had it checked at the NEW Dermatology office and it was nothing!! Oh, by the way. I was so upset over the PA and Nurses treatment, that I called and left a message for the main physician to call me back about the service and care I received. I never got a call back! Message was left with answering service. Also, the 2nd time I went here, I saw another PA. Routine mole check. They couldnt find anything until the very end where she found a small questionable mole on my scalp - in the middle of all my hair! Amazing how she could zero in and find 1 little bitty questionable mole, with the head of hair that I have. They did the biopsy - $300 or so. While shes slicing the mole off, she says "oh, it looks like it was just a scab". Really?! I think this office just likes to perform biopsies for the $$$. And the area on my scalp where I really needed one - they just blew off. Oh yes, and a co-worker was telling me about how Florida Dermatology Associates-Cocoa, TOTALLY misdiagnosed her problem. This place is a joke. Save your money and go somewhere else and be SURE youll be seeing a Physician not a PA.

Im thinking the person signed in as A Google User must not have gone to the same place I just came from. There were 3 people in the office area and were all very friendly and helpful. I was early and yet didnt have the papers filled out when the nurse came out for me. She was upbeat and friendly as she went over the usual questions about allergies and history os any ohter skin problems etc. I was scheduled to see the PA but he was with another patient at the time and the doctor was free so I saw her. She was wonderful and caring, she expressed concern over the fact that I have very fair skin blue eyes and reddish hair which makes my skin more sun sensitive and more likely to have skin damage due to sunlight then others. She not only looked over the spot I was concerned about but checked two other things I wondered about plus the rest of my face and hairline. They were not concerns and after thoroughly checking the spot I wondered about she prescribed a cream for it and told me about it then asked if I had any other concerns, I didnt and she left. When she left the nurse went over exactly how to use it and reminded me again about what to watch for and to stop using and call them if there were issues with it. The ladies were friendly and sweet at check out. I might add I called one day and got the appointment for the following day. I had heard some dermatology offices it is hard to get in unless you are having costly things done like botox and other things. Not at this one. My over all experience was very satisfying and I would highly recommend this office to everyone.

I went in for a fungus on my hands. I needed a different medication then the one I was already using. The assistant told me it didnt look like a fungus to her. I asked her to do a scrapping. She said no. I was washing my hands too much, gave me a steroid cream and that was it. My husband and I didnt agree and I went to my family physician the next day. He scrapped my hand and FUNGUS! He gave me an oral medication and told me NOT to put the steroid on my hands; it would make it worse. You know, I am not a doctor or have a medical background, but age and experience have its place also. If I could tell it was a classic ringworm fungus, why couldnt she? AWFUL.

My child seen the PA. A nurse was also bedside. They were both very friendly, informative, w a great bedside mannor. They were both very patient w my daughter, who was scared about getting a biopsie. They RXd some medications for her acne, however a week later, and it was never sent to the pharmacy. I called and a nurse said that it was overlooked and they would be calling it in right away. I understand things like that happen. Human, error. Overall we had agreat experience w FL Dermatology.
