I went to this office in 2007 with comment pimples issues . Those pimples that come before your period. The doctor prescribed me a very strong antibiotic 500mml 2 times a days after 2 weeks the pimples went away. And so I stop taking the antibiotics. 4 days later I had double of theme. I called the office and schedule an appointed. When I saw him ,he told me to not stop the treatmen . He said that I needed to take the pills for one year. Iike an idiot I listen to him. My skin got clean but I stared to get extrimilly sick. I had horrible stomach pain. I end up to the hospital. With chest pain and Irregular heartbeat . They kept me for 3 days they thought that i had a stoke. The doctor count figure out what happenes to me. I got an engoscopy and a colonoscopy done . Result I got a severe gastities . The doctor couldnt tell me why. It took me 2 year of research on my own and nigth after night with IV in the hospital. To reach the conclusion that the antibiotic diastoyed the flora of my low intestin . The damage of the antibiotic Where irreversible. No only he distroyed my intestine but he distroyed my social and personal life. I needed to stop working for a long time and rest . I losted 25 pounds I couldnt workout I could travel for 5 years my life was a nightmare every night I pay God to dont take my soul. I divolpe food intolerance I got dots in my vision rings in my ears titanos. Over grow yest. I do not wish that to my worse enemy.. Its 3 years now that I found a little peace but I need to be very carful if I mess up my diet I get extremely sick like tonight. I have chest pain and I dont feel well. Because I had chicken for lunch and my body can not tolerated. Everything must to be watched on what I eat and my workout. The ammont of stress . I Never smoke drink or did any drugs . Very active and I love workout .Love life. But now because of this doctor I need to becaruful .I need to sleep with special pillows. If anyone of you want to know why I didnt Do a lawsuit very simple I found out what happened to me 3 years later. To late to do anything. And so to everyone that read the review please protect your kids. And your life Dont go to this office.

September 14th 2015 I came to Dr. Bernhardt. He misdiagnose me. I came in twice in a month and was charged for incorrect treatment. Dr. Bernhardt prescribed me cream and even gave me a shot that did not help me. The woman at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful and told me to come in for another office visit to cut off my skin ( biopsy ) so the Dr. can send it to a lab and not get back to me for another week and leave me with a scar. It has been over a month now and I still have the same issue. I have been so trusting and patient with Dr. Bernhardt and its very upsetting to have to go somewhere else after this dermatology issue could have been resolved over a month ago. I will never go to this office again. If you want a doctor and staff that will listen to and take the time to evaluate your problem the first time to ensure your dermatology issue will be diagnosed correctly I would NOT suggest going to this office.

I was a patient of Dr. Bernhardt for about two years. I had a precancerous spot (diagnosed previously by a different doctor) on my left wrist that looked like a freckle. I have fair skin so I have many freckles. I had what Dr. Bernhardt said was a rash on my left shoulder blade. For a few visits, Dr. Bernhardt looked carefully at the freckle on my wrist and said it was just a freckle and not to worry. He treated "the rash" on my left shoulder blade with a cream for several months. Next visit, I demanded he biopsy the freckle on my wrist and the rash on my shoulder blade. He called in a couple days to tell me he had saved my life because the freckle on my left wrist was stage 1 melanoma and the rash on my shoulder blade was stage 2 melanoma. No question about this decision.

Came in very concerned about a spot on my nose that grew and looked like the pictures I saw of basal cell carcinoma. Mark laughed at me and said it is a skin cherry, and froze it off. I was in and out of the office within 10 minutes. Months later, it grew back. I just got back from getting the spot biopsied with another derm, and she has told me that they are putting a rush on the biopsy because she is pretty sure it is basal cell carcinoma. WOW! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! UPDATE: Just got confirmation that what Dr. Bernhardt laughed at me about, and told me was a skin cherry, is in fact basal cell carcinoma... AVOID THIS GUY AT ALL COSTS... WHAT A JOKE!!!

This was my second visit, one time last year and this one. I find him and his staff to make the visit as pleasant as something as worrisome as sun damage can be. He is quick, obviously intelligent, and goes directly to the point, explains the problem and addresses the issues. The office is pleasant and friendly, decorated interestingly. I particularly like his sense of humor and the understanding that I received. The insurance process was quick and as possible. It is nice to go to an office where I feel welcomed, understood, included, and where we are able to laugh. I can see no reason not to give an excellent rating for him and his staff.

Dr. Bernhardt is a funny guy, but his jokes dont make up for his utter lack of focus on his patients needs. I have been seeing Dr. Bernhardt for roughly three years but no longer. I have seen him for two issues - one cosmetic and one health - he has not improved either. He spends very little time listening to his patients and very little time thinking about the best solution for the problem. Hed rather you be impressed by his quick thinking than leave with a solution that will work.

I am a lifetime resident of Fort Lauderdale and am willing to spend the money to get the best doctors I can find. I have been going to Dr. Bernhardts office for what seems like more than 20 years. Hes awesome, brilliant (check out the office walls- Harvard and Yale!), practical in approach and affordable. The office is run well and I can get in and out quickly. He is the best.

Im most pleased that he is a seasoned professional but keeps up on the latest information. Dr. Bernhardt and staff, are always willing to explore new options. His staff are friendly and efficient and they keep things moving.

I have seen at least five dermatologists in the last seven years and have become quite the critic. Dr Bernhardt was perfect in every way. I was astonished. Polite, friendly, thorough, inquisitive...Dr Bernhardt left nothing out and had character as well as professionalism. I will never go anywhere else for any dermatology needs and recomend his services to the fullest.
