1st post (2011) Ive been to this office before and it didnt work out for me at all. My previous dentist Dr. Mayer did two fillings and 3 months after the procedure I returned with pain and uncomfortable feeling while chewing food. She told me it was completely normal and that my teeth were accepting the fillings. I told her that I have had many fillings done and I have never experienced anything like that. Again, she said it was totally normal and asked me to give it a couple of months. After 6-8 months I came back to the office with excruciating pain and swollen gums with deposits of pass above one of those teeth she treated and the staff told me I absolutely needed a root cannel and a crown. Dr. Mayer was no longer employed there but I still thought that someone would acknowledge, apologize and fix the problem for at least half the price. To my great surprise no one tried to make it a better experience for me. At the time I was switching my insurances so they told me that it would cost me around $5000 to do the crown. I never bothered to return to the office again. After I switched insurances my provider gave me the address of a dental care that happened to be the children’s office of the same dentistry I’ve been to in 20011. I got transferred here again and decided to give it a second chance. My first visit was scheduled for an oral surgeon consultation which I am mostly satisfied with, however, my recent visit wasn’t the best one. The receptionist needed my license and prove of insurance again even though I provided it on my first visit. Also, they told me that I shouldn’t have had an appointment in the first place coz I didn’t have an exam with my doctor prier (like I was supposed to know about it). They said that I can’t have cleaning without an exam. I asked the receptionist if Dr. Feliciano was my doctor which they said he was. After my cleaning I was introduced to a NEW doctor, the Armenian lady who didn’t really have time for me. I didn’t like that. I felt like because of lack of time she was agitated and kind of short with me. She told me I had a front chipped tooth that “needs” to be fixed and she asked me if I wanted to do it that day. I told her “not here and not now”, she turned off the light over my head and said: “I am confused, why are we even seeing this patient? Do you have another dentist?” I told her that I do have one in my home country which I visit once every 2-3 years but it shouldn’t prevent her from treating me as a regular patient. I also asked her to explain what “needs to be fixed ” mean? I know it is a cosmetic procedure that should be advised to fix but it doesn’t need to be fixed nor my wisdom teeth needed to be pulled out. I have been told by numerous dentists that as long as they don’t push my teeth and don’t have cavities I don’t have to do anything with them. I definitely didn’t like doctor’s short comment to her assistant Kathy: “The patient refuses the treatment, make sure you document everything!” It made me feel like I’m not taking care of my health, which I do! And because I do that’s exactly why I didn’t need anything done. I didn’t refuse the treatment. I will do everything that’s necessary when it’s necessary. I do want to say, though, that Kathy was very friendly and kept me a good company while waiting for my doctor in the room.

Editting my former 5 star review down to 1 star, wish I could do 0. The first visit was great but all after those were downhill. The staff must have changed or something but the visits after that were the stuff of nightmares. I always had to wait at least 30 minutes past my appointment time to get in. Then, the dental hygienist I had was awful. She completely ignored half of my teeth, and the ones she did clean she put through severe pain! I explained that I have severe sensitivity and the numbing gel does not work but she was still very rough and when I winced she just lambasted me for having sensitive teeth. She was also cleaning my teeth while getting over a virus which I subsequently caught from her!!!! Later I was told I had two cavities that needed to be filled and they rushed me to make an appointment because they said they would fill up fast, so I did, without a second opinion. That appointment was a nightmare from having to wait 45 minutes because they got the room ready for the wrong procedure, then they were watching the soap opera on TV while drilling my teeth, then telling me they found a third surprise cavity while drilling the other two and would drill that one too! They also did not anesthetize correctly! She didnt get the needle all the way into my gums and shot most of the anesthetic down my throat instead!! And she did it repeatedly! Now 7 months later my teeth hurt worse than before because they didnt set the filling correctly and I cant eat with half of my mouth but I am too afraid to go back and have it fixed. Finally next week I go to a new dentist and pay out of pocket to have this new dentist fix Dr.Brawleys Frankenstein hack job! Do not go here it is a nightmare!

2nd post (2013) I was going to this office for over two years and was never satisfied with their services; starting from the automated answering machine that kicks in no matter when you call, to how rude the front desk can be, to wrongly done filling that caused a root cannel done in a few months later on the same tooth with no refund, to even rude Armenian dentist herself… But this visit, which was supposed to be my last visit, because I had one free cleaning left on my insurance, I was pleasantly surprised. My hygienist was Max. I think this is the first nice, professional, and people oriented (instead of money oriented) person I’ve ever met in there. He was very attentive, helpful, and full of knowledge and tips as to how correctly support your oral health. He was very personal and seemed to enjoy doing his job. That’s the kind of people you need there to save your business and customers. He actually made me want to reconsider about leaving this office, and if I decide to stay I will always request him and Dr. Feliciano. Thank you, Max.

I felt a small crack in my tooth and went in to have it checked out and to have a filling put in before it turned into something major. They wanted to charge me $1500 to put a crown on my tooth that had a minor cavity. The dentist also said that he wanted to put another crown on a tooth that I wasnt even asking about. I painfully paid the $30 for the office visit and walked out of there before they scammed me even more! I went to a private practice dentist for a second opinion - I was told my tooth was perfectly fine and I needed the SMALLEST of a filling and that I didnt even have a crack in my tooth, just a natural groove that was deepened by the cavity. Total cost was less than $250. Towncare Dental was a SCAM and I highly recommend NOT going. Ive had small crack in a tooth before and it was cured with a simple filling. WORST dental experience ever. I feel scammed just for making an appointment with them.
