A couple of years ago my husband and I had great insurance and had to go to holy cross hospital in Fort Lauderdale for a kidney stone. We were treated terrible and sat around SO long that we ended up removing his IV and walking out (what a joke that place is). Currently we have a "less than ideal" insurance situation so when my husband had sever abdominal pain we were not expecting much on our way to Memorial hospital, boy were we proven wrong! We sat in the ER waiting room for about 3 mins before being called back, after a quick information exchange and vitals we were on our way upstairs to a private room. Everyone treated us great and I cannot say enough good things! My husbands appendix was removed later that morning. They did everything possible to make us both comfortable. His nurses - Esther, Jojo and Enid were all top notch, each was very knowledgeable, going out of their way to keep us informed and comfortable. It was like being in a nice hotel with a private nursing staff!! Great hospital and we will never go anywhere else if we have the choice.

I had breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy followed by reconstructive surgery. I was experiencing financial difficulty while home recovering from my surgery. I was assigned a social worker from memorial regional hospital. She was not nice and made it seems like it was my fault i had cancer. She treated me as if i was an inconvenience. Social workers are supposed to seek out any financial assistance available and she denied me if that. I will never forget the way i was treated. She was biased.

I have never done a review ever but I had to write one regarding this hospital. I have never in my life experienced a hospital with a 2hr wait in the ER. I am actually in the bed now, and ive been here for over 2 hrs now waiting to be seen by the doctor. Of course, discharge will go quickly and billing even quicker. I hate this hospital with a passion but had to go because it was the closest to my house.

The best Doctor ever , very knowledgable spent time with me , explained every thing in details , I received a call next day and the Doctor himself was making sure that every thing going well . Highly recommended .
