This was the absolute worst medical experience I’ve ever had in my life. I DO NOT recommend anyone go to this doctor. I had a confirmed appointment on 1/29/14 at 10:45. I arrived around 10:20 at the address listed on the BlueCross BlueShield website. Unbeknownst to me Dr. Ubeda’s office had moved about 6 blocks down the street. Frustrated, I drove to the new location called “Leal Medical Center.” I checked in with the receptionist for my appointment WITH Dr. Ubeda but was informed that he was not there that day and had an appointment with Dr. Fernandez (my choice or not). I didnt get to go in past the reception until about 11:45 and I waited for another 20 minutes in ANOTHER waiting area. A young lady nurse who looked like she was still in high school called me in a room to check my vitals. The room was divided by a curtain rack and there was AN ELDERLY WOMAN in the room! I was appalled, where was my privacy? After the records were taken, I was led to a room in the far rear of the medical center and was told to wait there to see the doctor. The light was flickering; there was nothing in the room, dirt on the floor trash on the sink area. It was disgusting. I couldnt believe I had waited so long just to receive a check up. My time was too precious to wait so I left and asked if I could get a refund of my co payment of $30 that I paid; the receptionist said that she can credit it for my next visit. But I told her that I would never go there again and it was the worst experience Ive ever had.

This place is a joke. So unprofessional and mostly unorganized. From the moment you walk through the door to the receptionist all the way to the back where they check your vitals and see the Dr, is a tunnel to hell. In my last experience, my appt was at 9:15 and i arrived at 8:45. Was called in at 10:20. Then left at another waiting area until 1:15 While waiting i receive a call from their customer service office asking how did my appt go? Go figure! I let them have it right there. The female on the other side of the phone couldnt believe i was still there. She thought i was joking. She put me on hold and called the front desk. I was able to hear them mentioning my name and checking where was i in the process to see the Dr. The nurse told her I was next. Which was not true. Then the female that had put me on hold came back to tell me i was next. That never happened. I was called in 3rd. I had taken her number so i called her to let her know i was still waiting and others called before me. I was NOT NEXT as they said. She said she will speak to someone and call me back. When she did i had already left that medical office. She just apologized and said she will report the entire incident. This place seems to be a circus for medicare and medicaid recipients. The government should investigate whats going on.

We asked to see Dr Ubeda because we had an emergency with my mom but he did not want to see us just for a minute before leaving. That what the administrator said to us. She was very concerned of the fact that my mom did not belong to Leal anymore because of insurance issues. They did not care about my mom and the situation we had. Its a shame to find people like this taking care of human beings. Never go there!

Went to the doctor for an annual check up the staff was very attentive and treated me like part of their family. The only thing was the waiting they where implementing a new computer system.
