When I first started seeing Dr, Bender he was a fairly nice doctor but as time went on HE WAS THE WORST! He takes no time with you to discuss your health, he is Rude and basically ignores any thing you need to talk about. He comes into the room, signs the Rxs and walks out. I was told by a couple of other patients that he was going through a divorce from his 2nd wife and had a 3 year old... That is His Problem and this should Never interfere with his work ethic, but it did! Also, at the last minute they will cancel all appointments for a particular day because he has to take care of his little girl (?)! Reaching a person in the office is most often impossible, so if you are in crisis you are Screwed! We had a major falling out because I had asked on 3 occasions if one of my pain meds could be increased... he would just ignore my question until the 3rd time when he said No & I said OK. So he released me as a patient due to "persistence" in asking for 2 more pills a day... Seriously?! I had been planning to find another doctor who would treat me with respect and some sort of compassion, but he beat me to the "break up" and it was the best thing that could have happened! I have Severe fibromyalgia and even with the pain meds I take Im still in constant pain, so if you really need a doctor who will take care of you DO NOT GO HERE!

Dr. Bender has been treating me for over 5 years and in the beginning, I wasnt sure of his methods. I was morbidly obese and close to 500lbs when I began with his practice. He explained how important it was to excersise and basically, put me on a bicycle, along with cutting my total intake of pain meds. I am now in the 200lb range, still battling pain and always will due to the abuse to my body, but I am proud to recommend Dr. Bender and his staff as they really care, and get results. He is a really nice man and I have never been made to feel uncomfortable in any way. If you are in true need of help to have a better quality of life, then the Spine and Pain Clinic is for you.

My husband had a 1:10 appointment. At 2:00 I asked the lady at the desk if I had his appointment time and day correct. She told me his appointment was for 1:30 not 1:10 and they take the people back by appointment time. His card says 1:10 not 1:30. And now its 2:30 and they called someone back whos appointment was at 1:40. This doctor also makes you come every month for your prescriptions. He will be going back to his old doctor! RUN as fast as you can!

Dr bender has provided pain mgmt for both my son and me for several years now. While his office does stay very busy, doc will always slow down if there is a real concern or question. And his staff is even better! But dont just go there looking for pills...this is really for folks with pain issues. :-)

Takes the time to explain what your condition is and suggest a simple exercise to do. Lets hope this works. He is very courteous.
