The Perfect Package
Let me start off by saying that I don’t like 1 star or 5 star reviews, almost no establishments are deserving of either. This will be a completely honest review. Atmosphere: The reception staff is very friendly and competent! The hygienist I was assigned however, seemed to be very standoffish and borderline rude from the moment I sat down. The dentist herself was friendly but had a very awkward bedside manner, continually reiterating silly generic one liners like “welcome aboard”. Every answer to every question seemed to have a half scolding half flirtatious tone to the answer. There is way too much upselling going on, you will be pitched braces and other unnecessary things before they even take care of your basic needs. Competence: While the hygienist seemed adequately competent, she seemed resistant to better methods and stuck in the past when it came to dental technology. Gum measuring was done quickly but I did get the feeling that if I had stayed for the cleaning (I did walk out mid visit) that she may have unnecessarily butchered my gums. The Dentist also seemed adequately competent, though she wanted to recommend an oral surgeon for my last two wisdom teeth to be removed, most good dentists could do this procedure in office, which is definitely what you want if you have insurance. The entire staff seemed baffled by anomalies in their own computer system. Pricing: Let me start by saying that I was fully aware of what work I needed done before I walked into this office and I had done extensive price research. Here is the rub. Their upfront pricing is too good to be true, and it is. The initial visit coupons (which I should have been weary of) are some of the lowest I have ever seen. Once they have you though, the prices quoted are at the tippy top of the industry standard, with no immediate discount for self paying patients I might add. Most dentist offices will offer an immediate 20-30 percent discount for self paying patients knowing that they would never get the full payout from an insurance company anyway. Summary: I came to this office not for the coupon but because they had an opening sooner than any other dentist office in town (that alone should have sent me scurrying), I was made to feel uncomfortable for the entire visit by rudeness or constant sales pitches. I would like to reiterate that I actually walked out of the office without receiving my cleaning, this is how uncomfortable the office made me feel. Perhaps I would have been treated differently if I had insurance, or maybe if they had witnessed me pull up in a 30k car and were privy to the fact that I had 5k set aside for dental work this year. The bottom line is, I would not recommend this place for people with or without insurance. It is not deserving of either a 1 star or a 5 star review, I would put them solidly at 2.4 stars. Really not a rating that I find acceptable in a medical professional.

I have finally found my dentist. I have been to four different dentist office in the Arlington area, in the last several years, in search of the kind of competence, kindness, professional, personal, and private care that Arlington River provided to me. They were comforting, encouraging, and had a gentle touch, not leaving my mouth sore and traumatized. They were able to get me a same day appointment. I am eternally grateful and will recommend them every chance I get. Thank you Arlington River!

Corrupted Case
If you want a dentist that actually cares about your well being, go somewhere else! All this place cares about is milking every penny they can out of you. The hard sales start the second you walk in the door and they dont stop! Overpriced compared to every other place Ive been and they will try to sell you everything they can. This place is like the garbage used car lot of Dentistry. Youve been warned.

When insurance company rejected the claim citing that some procedures were unnecessary, they made me a soft target for collecting money for the procedures which were considered UNNECESSARY by my insurance company. This happened even when I had clearly asked them not to do anything beyond my insurance coverage and anything that could be considered unnecessary. Just sharing my experience. Hope it helps.

I love the staff and the Doctor here!!! The office looks beautiful after the remodel! The Doctor is one of the best Dentists I have ever been to. The entire staff is professional and educated me on everything I needed. They were also flexible with helping me find a way to make the payments affordable. I will never go to another dentist again!

Love Dr. Monford and her team. Have had multiple bad experiences with past dental offices but she made both me and my wife feel comfortable and explained everything thoroughly. Her staff also helped me find a discount plan and affordable financing to get my bridge work done. Will be returning

Waiting for over an hour past my appointment time. If the staff put as much effort to be more time efficient as they are all gossiping including the "Office Manager," theyd be somewhere and had my business. Never coming again.
