I guess waiting is part of going to the doctors office but they are way below average (& Ive gone to a lot of doctors appointments - having been pregnant twice, and with all those numerous child well/sick baby visits). Try calling them - youd be lucky to get a real human (whod then immediately transfer you to voicemail). Whenever I was there, I noticed that no one seems to care if the phones ring off the hook (o, an emergency? well, then call 911!). Everytime I have an appointment there, I have to wait 45mins to over 1 hr to be seen - even when there are no changes (address, insurance etc). The last straw was when my mom had to wait over a week and a half for a prescription refill for her blood pressure medication - she gave up & finally scheduled an emergency visit to the doctor when she realized that they were never going to call the pharmacy. "Give us 24-48 hrs to return your call," they say in their voicemail, more like 24-48 years, if youre lucky!.

I quit going to my previous doctor because with an appointment made 1 month in advance it would take at least 2 hours before I actually saw my doctor. And at any given time there were no more than 1 or 2 pts in the waiting w/only 4 exam rooms. From day one, Memorial Family on University has shown a level of efficiency, professional courtesy and quality medical care that is equalled only by Mayo Clinic here in Jax. I know. Dr. dePadua and the entire staff are absolutely great and I know good medical care when I get it. Ive had more than my fill of every type of medical emergency one can have since my heart attack 6 years ago. Thank you Dr. dePadua and the whole staff.

They waited half an hour before my appointment THAT WAS MADE A FEW WEEKS AGO to tell me there was a problem with my insurance, which couldnt be resolved for two weeks. The lady behind the counter had an attitude since I walked in the door. Now I cant get a refill on my meds, which I strongly depend on. Im not going back here, Id rather drive across the city than deal with this place. This is the second issue Ive had with Memorial Family Medical, both were at separate locations so Im starting to think theyll just hire on the first person to walk in the door.

Im in awe. I had accidentally missed an appointment here, whilst in the middle of my hectic move out of JAX 6 months ago. Just moved back and tried setting an appointment. Was told Im not allowed to set appointments here as a new patient or even become a patient now, due to this. Never in my life have I seen an office of health turn people away who are in need of a doctor, and as a punishment! For a mistake..Thats is just tacky. Seriously am flabbergasted. Will definitely make sure everyone I know, knows how this place operates.

I have had Dr. Giddings as my PCP for over 40 years. I have never had a bad experience with him or any of the staff. He is an extremely gentle and easygoing physician with my physicals and is always on top of things for my sickness visits. If it is necessary, he refers me to a specialist right away. I feel truly blessed to have him as my physician. He has treated my parents, siblings and my family. He is a great diagnostician and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a wonderful family doctor.

I have been going to Memorial Family Medicine for several years now. All of the doctors are very good at taking care of whatever your current condition might be, but Dr. Neirouz Joseph is my personal physician and I cant say enough good things about her. She loves children and is able to help me everytime that I come to see her. My husband has been going to Dr. Giddings for a very long time also. The whole facilty is run like a true Doctors office should be. Very professional, yet friendly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Selanders for more years than I will disclose. My husband has been a patient for a longer period than I. We both think highly of Dr. Selander and his staff members. Always available, professional and personable. I have never been anything but extremely satisfied with my medical care and the care of my family members. I hope Dr. Selander does not plan on retiring any time soon as I am not ready for that.

If you are someone that suffers from an illnesse this is not the place for you. From getting prescriptions refilled or test results or speaking to someone that will accomplish something is a challenge in itself. It should be easy to get a call back especially when its urgently needed. Still waiting after numerous calls. Must be assistants that got let go from the VA.

I have been a patient of Dr. Guy Selander for many years, Dr. Selander he the staff have always put my best interest first! The respect I have been shown through out the years has never waned. I strongly recommend all who are in need of compassionate,professional medical guidance to give them a call ASAP!!

I have been a patient at the Practice for a little over 7 months and I could not be more pleased. The level of care and attention to detail is above what I expected. It would be a mistake to not consider this Practice if you are in need of a group PCPers that truly take your health care seriously.

I have been a patient at MFM for almost 20 years. They are always friendly and the wait time is very minimal compared to the place my wife goes. Dr. Selander has been my Dr. for those years and has always taken very good care of me. He is really down to earth and make going to the doctor alright.

I have been going to this location for over 20 years. I absolutely love the staff and my current doctor, Dr. Neirouz Joseph. She is very knowledgeable and personable. You can tell shes there to help as much as possible. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a good primary.

My visits with Dr. Thomas Michelsen are always productive and my questions are answered he takes care of all my issues and is a caring physician. He has been my Primary Care Physician since 1988. The office staff do their best to see that I can get an appointment ASAP when needed.
