The only decent part of my experience was the blood draw. Every other aspect has been horrible. Im sure that Im not the only person with a similar experience, it seemed like this happens fairly often. I made an appointment, signed in, waited for my name to be called, the usual. Once my name was called, I was taken back to the desk where an employee took my insurance information, gave them the information, they created a patient record, done. I thought that everything had gone well and went back into the waiting room to wait until someone was ready to take my blood. Thinking that everything was fine, I didnt respond when they called a name similar to mine, three times. No one claimed the name, so they had the person that input the information come out to identify the patient; they walked up to me. I told them that the name was incorrect, but they brought me to the back anyway, not caring. I told the phlebotomist that I wouldnt allow them to take my blood without the correct patient information so she went into the computer, changed the name, and printed new stickers. Upon checking the information printed on the sticker I noticed that the social security number listed was incorrect. I told her this, and she rolled her eyes, told me that no one could do their job properly around there, and went into the computer to edit my account. It turns out that the socials are locked in the computer software, so once its in, its in. She read the rest of the information and all but the phone number was correct. The person that entered my information typed in my last name, picked the first patient file, and just CHANGED THE CURRENT INFORMATION TO MATCH MINE, all but the social, of course. She called for help from someone, hoping that theyd come and bring me back to the desk to open an actual new patient account. They blew her off, one person completely ignoring her and the other, seemingly a manager, told her that theyd fix it later. The phlebotomist told me not to believe them, obviously, that they would just THROW MY BLOOD AWAY if it didnt match later. So she went into the computer herself to create a new patient file and had to re-enter billing information, drew the blood quickly and painlessly, and we went our separate ways. Over one month later, after calling once and finally going online to re-order my results, my doctor finally received them. A few weeks later was when I received my first bill. It stated that insurance didnt pay for the services, so I called my insurance company and was given very simply instructions to fix a simple mistake. A mistake made because the person that put my information in had no idea how to do it, because it isnt her job. Four months later I am STILL trying to fix the issue. I will never use Quest Diagnostics again. I would rather pay in full for the services through another company than have to step foot in there again. Not only did I have a negative experience, but I hope that the women that had all of her information changed to mine doesnt need to go back there, shes going to be dealing with a nightmare if she does.

I went to the office on Friday, Feb 19, as a walk in. At that point in time I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes. I and was told I was supposed to fast for the blood work needed, and to come back to the office at 8 am the next morning. She wrote it down on a post it note and stuck it on my paper work. On Saturday, Feb 20, I came in and signed the form that said I had an appointment. I saw several people come and go so I finally asked Kathy B. (all I know) how much longer it would be. She said I didnt have an appointment and would have to wait, just look around, there are "hundreds of people ahead of you." The attitude was a how dare you act like you should have an appointment. So I showed her the hand written post-it note and told her that I was told to come back at 8 am. She basically told me that they arent able to do that and she was really annoyed with me. Honestly the room was full and I suspect there were between 80 and 100 people there, but that does not excuse her behavior or her nasty attitude. Having been severely chastised, I sat down and waited. Considering I had heard her pull the same stunt with someone else who said she had scheduled an appointment online, I waited 2 full hours before I finally asked someone else for help. She was kind and helpful. Apparently I was not only put to the bottom of the list, but completely skipped and forgotten, with no one else aware that I was there. Kathy was on a power trip that morning and her treatment of me was inexcusable as well as unacceptable. Kindness is a free customer service that can never be over rated.

Front end staff are extremely unprofessional and rude. We unfortunately have to visit the Mandarin facility often due to my sons chronic illness. I have experienced so many inconsistencies in processes, procedures and billing that honestly it is too many to count. Not understanding test request, multiple billing accounts that they cant seem to clean up, long wait times, unprofessional front end staff and even losing blood are just a few of the issues I have experienced over the past 2 years. Its such a disappointment that they process people like a herd of cattle never stopping to consider that many of these people are ill and having labs done is a chore. I can honestly say they have managed to make this experience even worse. The phlebotomist are experienced, for the most part, but the front end staff needs a little lesson in compassion.

Worst lab I have ever used. My new insurance only accepts Quest so I visited this lab several times in the last 6 months. After waiting over an hour on the first visit before being checked in (!) I requested the phone # etc. to make an appointment before my next visit. None of the phone #s they gave me worked and the website would not let me make a timely appointment. I was forced to walk in again. The next visit I had marked on the sign in sheet that I had to drop off a sample. They made me wait for 45 minutes. The visit after that I had to wait for 1 hour and 10 minutes before they told me they COULD NOT DO THE TEST I WAS ORDERED TO DO !! This lab is understaffed by people who dont want to be there. I have since visited the Dupont Quest lab which is a longer drive but well worth it in patient services.

Even though I live only a few minutes from this Quest diagnostic I will never go there again.. Without fail you will wait a least an hour. The staff is rude. I made an appointment on line only to be told that I didnt and the women at the front desk basically told me I did not make an appointment if I didnt have the referral number. I didnt know I was going to need it! I walked out the door and went to the Quest Diagnostic on Old St. Augustine Rd. which was the exact apposite of the one on San Jose. You would not know this was the same company. Quest Diagnostic on Old St. Augustine Rd. is wonderful so I am not sure why such a huge difference. Do yourself a favor do not go to the Quest on San Jose Blvd.
