June 6 of 2016 Jackie Technician Dr Barnett 2 week kitten struggling for life cold blue barely responsive I was giving him CPR while driving. Went to the clinic, door was locked then a technician opened, I told her I need help. She looked at me thew her hands backwards away from the kitten and said: He is dead. I said: no Im giving him CPR She: You cant give a kitten CPR Me: He is coming back you see? She; Wow he is got all kinds of problem , he is blind Me: Could you please see him now ? She: Fill up the paperwork Me: Could you see him while I do this ? She: No , hospital procedures To top it off I had left the house in a rush and forgot my phone my wallet and I was shirtless because I too my shirt off to comfort the kitten. So Im in a very bad spot. All along the kitten is coming back alive in my hands crying in distress. My head is spinning and my heart is braking in pieces. I ask to use the phone. Jackie the technician hands me the house phone with 100 keys and walk away with great indifference to tent to others. With all that going on I mustard enough brain power to figue the dam thing and call my wife. She shows up with my wallet and ID My kitten is looking ok by now. They take him in $200 out the door As Im walking out Jackie he same technician that admitted me ( using the term loosely) Said : Are you sure he was not just on a deep sleep ? Some how it sounded worst on that rude sounding New York accent. I walked away in disgust. After hours clinic YES Emergency NO Came to find out Im an existing client with other pet and was on the system the entire time. All Jackie had to do was ask. I felt that the very people that is set up to help this little guys are quick to give up on them. And remember if you pet died any way you will still get a bill. Fortunately Lucky the kitten Is not Dead ! Is not blind ! And is happily playing around All he needed was EMERGECY care and compassion the very reason why this type of clinic supposed to be here. I had the distinct feeling that I was in a money mill. Remember the animal suffers, the owner of the pet suffers and the clinic will still get paid. A little comparison and understanding could be appreciated This is not an exaggeration feel free to send me a message anytime. Also. Google Cat CPR and yes you can give CPR to a cat.

I had to take my 13 year old Boston Terrier in today (11/29/15) as shes had diarrhea for a few days (which is not entirely unusual for her) but I was concerned about her getting dehydrated. Also, she started limping on one of her legs and that concerned me too given her age and such. I have to admit, some of the reviews had me a little guarded when I went in, but Tommy, the VT, and Dr. Barnett were AMAZING!!! They treated my little baby like the princess she is, were very gentle, and very informative. She got sub-Q fluids for her dehydration, meds for the diarrhea, and for the infection she was fighting that I didnt even know about (thank goodness for bloodwork), as well as something for her pain. They did x-rays to make sure all was ok with her hips/back/legs (some arthritis that may have been exacerbated by perhaps jumping down from the bed) too. Very thorough and fantastic bedside manner. I also really appreciated that they were completely upfront about all the costs associated with her treatment and I signed off on them before they did anything. I know some of the reviews have indicated that some folks felt some sticker shock, which is a very relative thing, so I wont begrudge anyone that emotion. However, I will say that for me, the costs seemed quite fair given the nature of the emergency services they provide. They are basically going in blind since they most likely have never seen your pet before and only have whatever background you can provide. For me, my little one is priceless, so whatever the cost, as long as her quality of life is still good. :) Many thanks to Tommy and Dr. Barnett for their exceptional service today. Aveda and I definitely appreciate it. :)

While on vacancy in Florida, I was searching for a emergency animal hospital where to bring my friends dog at. I didnt thought that the poor animal will make it even. All the other animal clinics Ive called seemed to be closed, or really didnt gave me the feeling I was welcomed there. Then I called this place. Oh my, it was like a light coming from the sky and pointing to me right where I where supposed to go ! When I arrived, Ive been really well received and they immediately took care of my friends dog, not even asking first for any money, like some other places does. Like i was saying before, I really thought this dog will not make it, but the doctor must have some magics hand or something, because he managed to save him, when my friend and I thought it was probably too late. No need to say that we where really happy and relieved too. The bill was also not as much as we originally thought, so we where also really happy on that side. Thats why with such over all positive experience there, I definitely wanted to recommend this place now. :)
