Today i had an appointment with a litter of puppies . We had this appointment scheduled last friday but i mistook the times and got to their facility while they were in surgery , i opted to reschedule because i wouldnt have the time to stay as i though my appointment was at one and worked shortly after . Regardless we came back at 230 because one of our puppies was really sick and couldnt wait till Monday. Today i was called to my sons school , he is type one diabetic and had a seizure in the middle of class. As you can imagine my priority was my son and called to reschedule either for a later time or day that week . The front desk was foul and disrespectful . she had no compassion or will to understand what our situation was . All she kept mentioning was that this was upto the owners discretion and that they would not see our puppies because i was making them loose money and holding others appointments. This is after i had already spent 150 that Friday when i had my original appointment . Your staff belittled me and made me feel like my puppies were not up to par to be seen even though we have been there many times before and have rescheduled litters and other routine appointments with no issues . Maybe the front desk was having an off day today and wasnt ready to be at work ! Whoever it was has an attitude that is not deserving to uphold a job in the customer service spectrum . I will be reporting this business to the BBB and will def make sure that there is a review and acknowledgment at the chamber of commerce. After i stabilized my son and was able to leave the school i called backed 15 minutes before my appointment to let them know i would be able to make it and i was told that my puppies would not be seen , that they were already booked and that in order for me to reschedule i had to call the day that i wanted to go and hope that they had an opening or that i needed another vet . This front desk staff told me i had "to hope " INCREDIBLE

We recently moved to the Lake Alfred area and LAAH was recommended to us by one of our neighbors, Deb Gourley. We first visited because of a hematoma that occurred in our Cocker Spaniels ear. Dr. Mary was kind, compassionate, caring, and offered a solution (drainage) which ended up not completely taking care of it, and surgery was necessary. Our GSD, Laila, had ongoing health problems and after horrendous experiences with a couple previous vets, I had a hard time convincing my husband to take her in. When we finally did, once again Dr. Mary provided caring, compassionate top notch care and continues to help us care for "our baby" and (hopefully) she will return to her "old self." The entire staff at LAAH is warm, caring, compassionate and hard working. The facility is immaculate and their team work is exceptional. Prices are reasonable. If I could give LAAH a HUNDRED stars....I would do it. They mean the world to me, and I cannot say enough nice things about them.

This veterinary clinic is the best. We are from out of state and were in the state breeding our Mastiff. We did not realize it was so difficult to find In-house same day progesterone testing in this state. We called 10+ other clinics in the area and was told it was all sent out to a lab and would not get results for at least a day or 2. We called lake Alfred and they said come on in and they would fit us in. We got there and they were busy but in a half an hour we were in the room and my dog (Ziva) was getting her blood drawn. We payed the fee that was a little less than we nomally paid in the past at other vets and left to grab something to eat. In about an hour they called us and told us her of pg level was at 13 and today and tomorrow was optimal time for breeding. We informed the breeder we were on our way. Very knowledgeable, personable and professional will use again if we are ever back that way. Thank you. Bruce & Sharon Wright

Recently had the worst experience. The 2 girls working behind the desk have the rudest, uncompassionate, insulting, vulgar, incompetent, inconsiderate and just plain disgusting personalities of anyone Ive ever met that work with the public. The vets are actually good vets but they just dont care if their staff treats people like dirt. After this last encounter with the inadequate staff, my family and myself will NO LONGER patron Lake Alfred Animal Hospital!!! AND NOW THE WHOLE STAFF INCLUDING DR MCDANIELS GOT MAD OVER MY GOOGLE POST AND THEY WILL NOT ORDER OUR CEDAR BOX FOR OUR DECEASED PET. WAY TO OPERATE A BUSINESS BY HAVING RUDE AND NOW LYING (TO COVER THEIR BUTTS) EMPLOYEES & CO-VETS. ALSO NONE, NOT ONE OF THE VETS, CALLED OR HAS EVEN TRIED TO CANTACT US REGARDING THE MATTER, ALL BECAUSE I LEFT NEGATIVE FEED BACK ABOUT THEM. REALLY? GREAT WAY TO TAKE SOME CRITICISM.....COMPLETELY DISGUSTED

I recently had to take my long haired calico Gingy in as she had been overcome by an illness and was not eating. I knew in my heart that it was time to let her go as she had arthritis and was very weak from her illness. Gingy has been with us since she was a kitty for 20.5 years. Dr. McDaniel and her staff were so kind to me and explained my options giving me choices that I thoughtfully pondered. I decided it was time for Gingy to make her way up the rainbow bridge. It was heart breaking for me however I knew in my heart it was the right thing to do. The staff at Lake Alfred Animal hospital comforted me and gave me the time I needed to say good bye. I will always be grateful for the care they gave of my lovely Gingy.

I have been breeding and showing Chow Chows for over 30 years and I live in Miami FL, I have been using Mary for years with my pets and Show DOGS from the most simple needs to complicate it ones, like OFAs, semen collections and C-sections. Her knowledge and fees are like no other. I drive 4 hours for Mary and her staff to take care of my dogs. I have NEVER had any problems with ANY of her staff, they are very helpful and have always accommodate my needs and emergencies. Maybe that other person was just having a personal bad day !!!!

Dr. Mary is the most professional and talented physician and we trust her completely. As a physician myself, I recongnize her devotion, dedication, and quality of care that is above all others. This is why we drive 3 hours one way to see her. My advise to new patients - listen to her and do what she says. We do and we have healthy dogs and confirmed pregnancies even using 10 + years old frozen semen. The best vet ever!!

The first person to greet me was Christina. She was wonderful, understanding, and caring. She handled all my needs prior to seeing Dr. Mary. Very pleasant, non-chaotic front desk! Dr. Mary is, of course, the best! I travel an hour to go there for both the reproductive needs of my females and their puppies. Dr. Mary does a comprehensive exam and answers all my questions. I couldnt recommend this facility more!
