My kitty Delilah escaped the house for 3 days. After I searched everywhere for her, she showed up at my door with a series of long, deep cuts along her entire left side. I rushed her to Westside simply because it was the closest clinic I found on Google. Id never been there before, but it was an emergency. The front staff were very efficient and kind, and our wait wasnt long. After the vet(s) cut off the necrotic, nonviable skin and fur, she had a 4 inch wide open wound from her shoulder to her leg. The wound was so deep that her fatty tissue and organs were clearly visible. It took repeated visits and restitching to stretch her skin enough that they were able to completely close the wound. After I paid the initial fee for her surgery, every followup visit and restitching cost me nothing. The initial fee was stunningly low. The important thing, though, is that Dr. Bryant and Dr. Hill, and possibly one or more of the other vets, worked magic on my baby girl. Yes, she has a lot of scarring, and yes, part of her belly skin and fur is now on her left side, but shes alive and healthy, and back to running, climbing, and playing Fetch (odd little kitty), and its because of the dedication and hard work of the wonderful vets and vet techs at Westside. Today, theyre doing the neuter on my foster kitten, after doing all of his vetting since I got him, 4 months ago. Theyll be doing the vetting on my other 2 girls when its due. Sorry to gush, but I love these people. And they pet, cuddled, and talked to my littles, and even told Delilah how beautiful she was. (She actually looks like a opossum who survived a run in with a car, but we wont tell her that).

We totally love Westside Veterinary Clinic! Dr Ames is awesome with all my animals. He is a very knowledgeable veterinarian who is tops in his field. Our cat Molly had went through years of pain with a mega colon issue and until we change over to Westside Veterinary Clinic and Dr Ames, we were offered no option other than to continue to clean her colon out ever few months. When Dr Anes saw that this was an on going issue with her, he referred us to a specialist in Greenville who performed colon surgery. Molly is 15 years old now and still doing great. If Dr Ames had not correctly diagnosed her properly and got us the referral we needed, I honestly think Molly would have died. We love the staff too! The entire staff has been very supportive and have shown us heartfelt sympathy during the hard times we have lost pets. They are also very gentle and understanding of fearful animals and they know how to handle them. My Chihuahua is a little devil dog that bites mostly everyone he sees. But when the Vet Techs come to get him to clip his nails, they pick him right up with no fear and get the job done without restraint. I truly do not trust any other veterinary clinic with my fur-babies. If you are looking for a team who really cares and has your pets best interest at heart, go to the Westside Veterinary Clinic. They totally ROCK!

READ if you love your animals! I have been with Westside Vet for over 10 years and at one time recommended them to all my friends but not anymore. When it was mainly Dr Bryant I had all the trust in the world in him. Now that it has expanded I have finally made up my mind to move on. It has been one disapointment after another. Recently I had a scare with one of my dogs. After they drew blood and they ran labs I was informed of some critical results. Then they told me if I wanted him treated I could leave him there alone hooked up to fluids with nobody to watch over him or take him to the emergency vet. As many animals as I have left over night I was never notified that they were alone. So to the Sptbg emergency vet I go. Waited forever, put my dog down for a sec and had to knock fleas off. After waiting for ever I realized there wasnt even a doctor in the building. Walked out and went to Greenville emergency vet which was awesome. Come to find out Westside made a lab error!!!! Had they treated my dog without rechecking the labs they may have killed him and they had all intentions in doing so. To add to that my bill in Greenville was cheaper than my bill at Westside. Be careful if your trusting Westside or Sptbg emergency vet with your fur babies. I want anymore.

Our first time here was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at an animal clinic and I would definitely not recommend. We had our 6 month old puppy (with previous health issues) spayed here, X-rays and supposed rabies vaccine, which they forget to do. The following day our puppy scratched out all of her stitches except 2. I called the clinic at 5:45pm while my puppy is bleeding everywhere with a huge open inscision and the receptionist stated that if we could not be there by 6 then there is absolutely nothing they could do to help and no direction or advice on what I should do at this point!! I live 20 minutes from here and I personally would consider this an emergency situation. They were unwilling to stay 5 minutes later to care for my bleeding puppy but very willing to take my money the day prior. We had to spend another $200 that evening at the emergency clinic and thank goodness our little puppy is doing okay.

Dr. Hill saved our Labrador Retrievers (Skylar) life when I thought she was done for. She went in unable to walk. I had to carry/drag her in on a sheet because she had become 70lbs of dead weight. She was admitted immediately to their hospital and we went home and prepared ourselves. She had to stay 3 nights but the technicians let us come over and visit her thinking it would be the last time. We received some of the best news a pet owner could hear. Her toxic liver levels had leveled out and her bloodwork was normal and she was walking and jumping over her enclosure gate to go outside to the bathroom on her own. Not only was she going to live but my dog felt good!! She initially was on a daily medication but Dr Hill was soon able to ween her off of that. That was 2 years ago and she is now 10 years old and still doing great thanks to Dr Hill.

We have been using Westside now for several years. We board our three dogs there a few weeks a year and Dr. Bryant takes care of all their medical needs. Dr. Bryant is the best vet we have ever known. He shows genuine concern and communicates well with us as well as with the dogs. Most important is that they like him! The boarding staff who actually take care of them during their extended stays are great. We get regular reports while they are being boarded. The facility itself is spacious and clean. The only negative I can think of is the front office staff. They dont seem to be well organized and dont project a friendly welcoming attitude. The front office could do better.
