I brought my sweet cat in for a simple procedure. Bobo had stones in his bladder & he was having trouble urinating. Something very common in male cats that owners should be conscious of. My family and I were assured that they handle surgeries like that all the time & not to worry; hed be in good hands. What a joke. They had him for 5, almost 6 days. First they were having trouble with keeping the catheter in his bladder because to in order to even do the procedure, his bladdar needed to be drained. We were told, "He kept taking his catheter out." ...Hes a cat. Youd think a defensless animal like that would be given the proper care and supervision for his delecate case. Of course he would keep taking out the catheter if given allowed the chance. When I picked him up his condition was unspeakable. He was completely shaved like they were going to do the surgery, but just didnt. I allowed him there that long because I thought that obviously he would need time to have his bladdar drained, undergo surgery, and keep him to see if hes stable & ready to come back home. Bobo never came home. When I picked Bobo up from Cats Exclusive they suggested that I go to an animal hospital, they werent equpit to handle his case & his best care might be at the animal hospital at this point. Bobo had been comepletly drugged up, & his back side had dead skin, hair had just been eaten off. Animal hospital said his urethera had been torn, & because of that urine was allowed to seep into his body & it began to eat away & kill his skin. I cant imagine how painful that whole process was for my Bobo. Bobo wasnt like that the week before I brought him to Cats Exclusive. After I shared my confusion & what happened with Bobo, the vets at the hospital said that Bobos urethra was not torn before I brought him to Cats Exclusive. They said that a cats uretera is very tough & hard to tear, there had to have been a lot of force put on it in order to tear it. Someone wasnt doing their job by watching him when draining his bladder & got frustrated when it kept falling out. Its so hard to even put this in writing but others have a right to know & be warned of that. That was plain cruelty. Im so sorry that I brought him there, because he never got to come back home. He spent a week being mistreated by strangers & had an awful end. I had to put him down at the hospital & spend his last moments stopping his heart. He was the sweetest animal Ill ever know. He was my best friend. Id never reccomend Cats Exclusive to any pet owner, & I will never ever go there again.

I just made my first, and hopefully my only, visit to Cats Exclusive. I went to inquire about finding my cat a new home. I was directed to a different counter to a person who would help me with that question. As I approached the counter, her back was to me. Had I seen her face before I spoke a greeting, it would have been enough to turn me around. As soon as she looked at me I knew that my quest was futile; nonetheless, I stated my mission. Why? How old is the cat? Where did you get him? These questions came in rapid succession without an opportunity to respond. When the lecture started, "people need to understand that when they adopt a pet it is a lifetime commitment...," I interrupted. Please, what I dont need is a lecture. At this point she fairly threw a stapled set of papers at me: "Here. Good luck." I took the papers and turned to leave. With her back to me, she said, "My door is locked." Had this woman taken a few minutes to hear me, she would have learned that I am NOT an irresponsible pet owner, I am NOT abandoning my pet, and I am willing to financially support the pet and the organization until my pet is "re-homed. " My cat is in excellent health, is current with all his shots, and has been lovingly cared for all his life. I never got that opportunity. So it would be irresponsible of me not to share this experience so that others will be informed and forewarned. Shame on you, Cats Exclusive, for letting someone like that smear your reputation. You got one star for being there for others; you lost 4 stars for letting that woman work for you.

I was referrd to this place by my roomate who takes her pet here and had previoiulsy been there with her and her animal and was not impressed at all and the smell was very overpowering. Nevertheless, I arrived at the clinic at 8:15 approximately 15 mins after opening to have my dogs eye looked at as it appeared to be protruding and looking to the side a bit as i could see the white in her eye which i had never been able to prior and was told "the vet wouldnt be in till after 9 and then i was told that is why we prefer to have client call before comming! " SERIOUSLY? and then i was asked if i wanted to wait. I then asked for an opinion if it looked unusual and was told no one here can give you an opinion? my thought was and you actually operate on animals but cant look at an eye and see if it looks abnormal?? Had this been a "real" emergency i would have not been very happy. I took my dog and left and vowed never to return. ! I have 2 shihtzus and i take their eyes very seriosly as this happend to my older one who is now 80% blind and the other eye had this issue when he was little and it had to be innoculated due to this same issue when he was a puppy. I would not recommend this place to any animal lover as there are certianly better places to take your beloved pet too.

I adopted a beautiful lynx siamese from here, in December. I was told at that time that if I ever needed to give her up, to please bring her back to them. I was married, then combined houses with my husband. For months, he has had test after test performed to try and diagnose health issues he was suffering from. Unfortunately, we learned that he has a severe allergy to cats. I brought my cat back, as directed, only to be treated with ZERO respect, and to be berated by the lady in charge (who is the same one who told me to bring her back). She questioned every choice I made. I had to remove our beloved cat, from my 4 crying children, BUT, it was some sort of inconvenience for this lady who runs a no kill shelter. As I told her, she may be good with cats, but she sucks with humans. A lesson in Bedside Manner 101 is in order. I have NEVER been so offended and disgusted in my entire life. I mourn the loss of this beautiful cat. The cat wasnt bad, destructive, etc... I had to do what was best for MY family. God forbid youre ever in this situation...take the cat to a different shelter.

This place was recommended to me by two co-workers, both cat owners like myself, that swear this is the best vet ever. And the one and only time Ive been there, Id have to say the staff was fairly nice. But that was a walk in visit because I didnt have the number. My cat had a UTI and I was in a pinch to find her some help that day. All in all, they were helpful, so..... I wanted to make them my permanent vet. And this is where it turns bad.... I got their phone number to make future appointments and every time I would call Id get the voice mail. I would leave a message and say my phone number as clearly as I could. And after 4 times of never getting a call back, Ive gotten a bit frustrated with them. Even more so when I was having another emergency. My last call was March 11th, and here it is the 14th and I have yet to hear from them. So I guess its back to Banfield. At least they answer the phone or call me back when I leave a message. And lets not forget follow up phone calls to see how things are going....yep.... you dont get that either at Cats Exclusive.
