This review is for those looking to find a practitioner that supports natural childbirth. Unfortunately, Dr Fink is not that person. I found this practice by way of advertisement in Natural Awakenings magazine. They were promoting their midwifery services and all the great things mothers and families look for when seeking out a baby/family centered practice. Choice of pushing positions, labor support such as doulas and midwives, tub labor, immediate skin to skin and breastfeeding, etc... In the beginning things were great here (or as great as they could be). Everyone was telling my husband and I what we wanted to hear. As time progressed though, things started getting a bit sketchy. The head midwife there randomly left, no reason was given as to why. I met with one of the OBs and began to question her about what happens when I get to the hospital. Her responses "you can labor in the tub but can not give birth because it INCREASES the risk of tearing. When its time to push, you have to lie on your back, because that decreases the risk" .... youre kidding right?? Anyone who knows about natural birth knows this to be the COMPLETE opposite, yet a Doctor working at the practice who claims to be natural friendly is completely misinformed about natural birth! She went on to tell me that the hospital is short staffed and doesnt allow for you to have that skin to skin or bonding time that they so openly promote either. It gets worse though... At my next visit I met the new midwife Cynthia, who is GREAT! Very warm and friendly. However, the Doctors informed her that they DO NOT work with my doula, and went on to tell me that my doula was not allowed at Baptist hospital... a pretty big claim to make. So I called Baptist, spoke to the managing nurse of L&D, and was told this is not true. The Dr office lied to me and tried to harm someones reputation in the process. After that, I was contacted by the office manager stating that "Dr Fink wants me to inform you that your doula is not on our approved list, and if you choose to continue with her, you cannot continue at our practice". WOW! Needless to say I will not be going back, nor recommending this practice to anyone! If they feel that "supporting natural birth" means controlling who you use as labor support, and turn patients away at 30 wks pregnant for wanting to make their own choices in labor and birth, well... Im sure you can figure out what type of situation youre getting yourselves into. There are MUCH better, honest Doctors out there. Dr. Fink is not one of them and is a coward for having his staff relay his messages for him. Dont be fooled by the nice day spa and advertisements. Despite what they may "tell" you, they are not the only practice with midwives in Miami either! Jacson South has them and there are many doctors in Miami that work with midwives. Find a private midwife or doula that you trust and get a referral for a Dr from them!

Dr. Finks office is an all-in-1 way stop. Entire staff is caring, friendly, accommodating, polite, and attentive. I as a patient dont feel as such, but as part of their family, Doctors are down to earth, kind, professional, good listeners, never-rushing, and never too busy to answer even the most silly of questions. Ive been a patient of theirs wherever theyve moved. And yes, thats how much I love their way. I use their entire array of services, from Sky&Sea Spa, to gynecology, face skin treatments, laser hair removal, skin collagen improvement with high frequency waves,(not sure if Im using correct terminology, but I know skin looks beautifully improved) Prices are affordable, and when using certain services, points accumulate, which convert to redeemable cash, towards next visit. Dr. Fink first gives his professional opinion, of what service, skin treatment, etc., re: cosmetic will be best suitable, and if nothing is needed, hell honestly say; "save your money", "you dont need anything". These entire family of doctors are just beautiful and kind hearted. Stephanie Fink is been Godsend as I personally feel shes surpassing in gentleness and caring. I would recommend her to anyone. Her bed manner, thoroughness, friendly, and really compassionate, on my annual examinations/physical, all is done on the same day, at their same office, including blood work, no need to make other arrange. Dont you just love finding a place like miami center of excellence?! I know I do❣

I find that people always find time to write about doctors when they have a bad experience, but never a good one. i have NEVER written a review for a doctor before, but after seeing Dr Fink, I am so pleased with him that I want to write one. I just moved from a different state, and had one gynecologist since I was 15 and it was a woman. i was very nervous about going to see a male, but i heard excellent things, so I drove 1/2 an hour to go to him. his office staff is extremely friendly, and i waited a short amount of time before being taken in. when dr fink came in, he took his time to get to know me as a person 1st, then as his patient. he answered all of my questions thoroughly. he wasnt like most doctors that want you in and out of their office so they can rush to the next patient. he made me laugh and i felt more comfortable with him than i did with my previous gynecologist that i had for over 8 years. the half hour drive from my house to his office was WELL WORTH IT. as much as i thought i wouldnt feel comfortable seeing a male doctor, all that fear dissipated after my visit. and he did one thing NO doctor ever did. after meeting me and my check up was over, he told me it was nice to meet me and gave me a hug. i felt as though he really cared and isnt that what we all want to feel with our doctors? i will recommend him to ALL of my friends.

I was looking for a midwife who would help me carry my pregnancy and deliver my baby with the most natural approach possible. At the same time, I knew I wanted to have the assurance of delivering in a hospital just in case anything went wrong. The Miami Center of Excellence of Obstetrics and Gynecology offered me just that. I was able to have a carefully supported pregnancy with reassurance and guidance every step of the way. When the moment to deliver my baby arrived, my midwife Stephanie Fink was there ready for me and helped me through a long and difficult labor. It seemed towards the end that I was going to need a C-section and when that possibility arose, Dr. Fink came and was ready to attend the emergency. Thankfully it was not necessary and my baby boy was safely born naturally with both Stephanie and Dr. Fink in attendance. I highly recommend them!

I moved to Miami when I was already 7.5 months pregnant and I thought this place would be great. Dr.Turmero was there for my labor and she delivered my son via c section. My son was in the hospital for 2 months with a rare genetic disorder and throughout those 2 months I went to to office and Dr.Turmero was very cold to me and my situation. Then I went a week later with my son, and she acted as if she did not know me...so cold and going through what I was going through with unforeseen circumstances with my son, you would think she would be more kind. DONT GO HERE
