Cant believe 68 people gave them good reviews. All weve ever had here are twilight zone experiences. The dentist is a friendly girl but will only talk to you for 20 seconds about what needs to be done, and doesnt use good judgment, and is pretty rough with her handling. The root canal specialist has the personality of a rock. Dental assistants are only there for a paycheck and make lots of mistakes. One even told me my pain was all in my head. Front desk office manager has a rude attitude and is an over-charger. They will definitely charge you more than what your insurance says to, and will try to push expensive procedures on you that you dont need. If you walk in with pain needing fillings and a crown they want you to pay $600 and get a gum cleaning first before they do anything else. This is standard for a dental corporation like Coast. They, especially this office, treat patients like heads of cattle with $$ signs over their heads. They dont care about your pain and just want to rip you off. Unprofessional and just plain weird. Wont be going again to this or any Coast Dental office.

Finally, I have found a place that took great care of my fears and didnt leave me in pain after my visit. I only left with a great smile and a sense of great comfort knowing that I can return to get more great care. Sasha, in the front office, took care of my insurance needs and properly informed me of what was covered. No surprises :) The Hygienist Chrissy and Dental Assistant Nicole were extremely careful; and, They made me feel like they personally cared about my health. I also inquired about getting my teeth adjusted to correct some issue that have concerned me in the past. The Dentist, Dr. Spicola was extremely professional and gave me some great advice on how to proceed with those concerns. I cannot reiterate how elated I am with their service.

A Private User

You have to wait 20 minutes or more, even if you are the first appointment of the day. The hygienist immediately asks what toothbrush you use, and if its not their sonic brand, you get subjected to a forceful sales pitch and a lecture about the horrors of periodontal disease. All this before the hygienist even looks in your mouth! If you have any silver fillings, those teeth all must be capped because of "bacteria" and a host of other horrors. They all speak in a loud voice so everyone (including other patients) hear your private business. While I was there, I heard the dental assistant pressuring a patient to have excessive dental work and the patient was crying that she lost her job, and only has enough money to feed her kids. That didnt stop the assistant from pouring on the guilt and the shame of "dental neglect." Coast Dental is a large corporation and the dentist is an independent contractor. The staff is nice, as they are well rehearsed on the corporate script. They are not in the business of caring for your dental health, their only focus is their financial bottom line.

Dr. Spicola is awesome! She always explains the procedures and make sure I understand. I feel like she actually listens and wants me to understand whats going on. She does impeccable work and her office is simply a fun environment. Her office manager(?) Sasha is always super friendly and makes sure that my visit it super easy and stress free. I even saw the doctor come in on her day off to fix some guys tooth before he went on vacation. Seriously, how many doctors would come in on their day off??? Chrissy is the hygienist and I seriously Wish I could put her on retainer and have her clean my teeth weekly. Her assistant is so sweet and friendly. Very professional and makes me appointments go smoothly. Everyone here seems to genuinely like each other. They are always smiling and singing (albeit poorly) and laughing. It makes me want to come work there!!! Everyone deserves a raise here!!!!

I have neglected to take care of my teeth. After a horrific incident, I ended up at Coast Dental for help. I was so happy with the service, I listed Coast Dental as my dental provider. The other day, I finally decided to take action and get all the work I procrastinate done. Dr. Spicola is probably the WORLDs Most Comforting Doctor. Any patient immediately gets a good vibe from her. Her personality takes anyone (including mine) dental anxiety away. To add, Sasha knows how to get things done. She had everything taken care for me while I was having some work done. This means everything to me. Its nice to know you can be put at ease in a Doctors Office type environment. Overall, the staff and the quality of work is amazing. Currently, I am working on getting over my fear but this place feels like home. Its everything someone could possibly want.

Beware of this company!!! Everyone who walks in the door they tell them they need a periodontal cleaning. Myself, I was only two months past my regular cleaning from moving over here, my last checkup was perfect before them. I talked to 12 other people who had the same issue, being told they need services, go to another dentist for a 2nd opinion and find out they didnt need it. They even REFUSED to do a regular cleaning when I declined the periodontal cleaning. Needless to say, I went to another dentist and was told I did NOT need the services they said I did. Their sales pitch trying to force you to buy their toothbrush is quite annoying. I have never had such an experience as I did here.

I recently met the team at Coast Dental in Oldsmar as a result of an insurance plan change. I was initially apprehensive since I have never considered visiting a storefront dental office. I was wrong. The staff at the office are very courteous, efficient and professional - kudos to Sasha and Lucy and the receptionist! The hygienist Chrissy is the best hygienist I have ever had clean my teeth. Very gentle while being extremely thorough. As far as the Dentist? Well, Dr. Spicola is a sweetheart. You can immediately tell that she cares about her patients dental needs and experience. I am very happy that I found the folks at Coast Dental and will let all my friends know as well!

Dr. Spicola is really great! I have been to so many dentists and always leave not wanting to go back. When I found Coast Dental in eastlake I wasnt sure what would come of it but it really is a great office. Everyone there is so nice and they really seem to know heir patients. I always hear everyone happily talking with the whole staff and I have never experienced that at a dentist office before. My husband who hates going to the dentist is regularly going to appointments again. I am thankful we finally found an office I feel like I can return to and feel comfortable at. Thanks Dr. Spicola and staff! I recommend you to everyone I know looking for a new dentist you all are great!
