If you are a naturally-minded parent, this is NOT the place for you. I made an appointment for my 13 month old because she has an eruption hematoma on her molar. I didnt want to just google it, or leave it alone, so I chose to have a professional take a look and reassure me she was okay and I did not need to worry. Instead, I was practically blasted by Dr. Lorielle Alter with a multitude of other "concerns", all the while telling me the hematoma was normal and fine, as expected. In summary, she told me that I was actually HARMING my daughter by continuing to breastfeed her and that I really need to wean her off immediately. In fact, she suggested I take Benadryl to quickly dry up my supply. I assured her that my daughter nurses 1 hour before bed, brushes her teeth after the bath and has a sip of water before she goes to sleep. She still insisted I wean her off immediately. In addition, she informed me that by continuing to breastfeed, I was NOT offering my child any additional immune support and that her immune system was already built up in those first few months.. (I mean, come on...) I explained that we breastfeed a total of 4 times a day and that has been drastically reduced since she turned 1. NOT THAT ITS YOUR BUSINESS. But it is the truth. I was then told that my one year old should be getting fluoride in her water and by age 2, in her tooth paste as well. If you know anything about fluoride and how harmful it is, especially to such small little bodies, you will know how ridiculous this is. YES, I know shes a dentist so of course she will spew what she has been taught. However, this made me uncomfortable and truly made me question her education on the harmful effects of fluoride and why it has been removed from many water sources because of those effects. To top it off, I was charged $99 for the visit which was expected as I did sign the paperwork. However, as many gracious medical professionals that I have known in the past have done, I thought the fee may be lowered or perhaps even waived for such a short, uneventful visit. ZERO work was completed, she literally just looked inside my daughters mouth, then proceeded to inundate me with unnecessary, and frankly extremely inappropriate, information. It shows the true character of the individuals working there and I am not comfortable receiving any additional services from someone who clearly doesnt see things (or refuses to see things) from a naturally-minded mothers point of view. I am saddened by this because I was truly hoping for a more pleasant experience. I gave two stars because Dr. Alter said everything she "needed to say" with a smile, and the office was a pleasant environment. Unfortunately, we will be finding a new dentist when the time comes.

Ugh! So frustrating. For all of you who recommended Dr. Maggie, we LOVED her! However, her office made one mistake after the other. Then, rather than making it right to keep our business, they politely apologized and kept pointing out how it was my fault for not stopping them from doing what they were doing. That is not good customer service or business practice, in my opinion. Specifically, they made the apt as a cleaning in error when I was very clear I was there for a 2nd opinion. I called for a 2nd opinion, sent my own x-rays for Dr. Maggie to review, and wrote on my new patient paperwork that I was there for a 2nd opinion. They proceeded to do a cleaning and apply fluoride, and bill me for every bit of it. After a very lengthy conversation with the office manager they removed the cleaning and fluoride charges, but implied over and over that we were somehow taking advantage of them. 1. They made the apt in error. 2. They forgot to check off that I had insurance and tried to bill me $220 for the consultation. 3. They were annoyed with me for not wanting to pay, and implied in a variety of ways that we were shady and taking advantage of them. (Note: D just had her cleaning and fluoride in May. Why would I schedule that again in Sept.? There was no need or basis for me to try to get a free cleaning or fluoride treatment - were I a shady person.)

My four siblings and I grew up in this practice, and we always viewed the dentist as both a mentor and a friend. As a child, I was never afraid of going to the dentist because I knew that when I walked through those doors, I would be visiting some of the most compassionate, loving people I knew. Both Dr. Maggie and her staff took the time to get to know me and my siblings on a personal level, and to this day, we consider them to be extended family! When you go to Dr. Maggie’s office, you won’t just receive dental care – you will receive the privilege of having a highly trained healthcare specialist INVEST in your life through individualized care and consideration. Dr. Maggie treats every single person like family and furthermore provides detailed explanations so that the patients and their families are fully aware of everything involved in a given situation. Dr. Maggie has impacted my life so much that I began to shadow her early this year with the intent of becoming a future dentist. I was recently accepted to dental school and I attribute my passion for dentistry to the care and compassion I received as a patient in her dental chair. Hands down, Dr. Maggie is the best pediatric dentist around. To be her patient is to be her friend, and there is no telling how she will positively impact your life!

This is such a nice dentist office. My child had a good first experience here. We wanted a place that allowed us to go in the back with our child for their first checkup and found many dentist wouldnt allow that. Who wouldnt want to be there for their childs first appointment and to help reassure them everything was alright? Would highly recommend this dentist. The waiting room has toys and tablets. Seating isnt uncomfortable. They are long couches. Receptionists are kind. For a checkup, cleaning, and xray with self pay we paid somewhere in the $200s. We were charged a little over $1100 for a moler cap and something similar on the other side but without the silver (transparent). Not sure if thats high or not for cavities but glad it got taken care of right away and with awesome care.. Overall, great experiences EVERYTIME we come into the office. Our children are our world and we only want the best for them. I believe locally, this would be that "best" for them.

Dr. Maggie is absolutely the best. She sees all 3 of our children, and they look forward to their appointments with her. I have yet to meet a more gentle, caring, knowledgeable, or professional dentist. I recommend her to everyone. When I first brought our oldest daughter, as a toddler, she was very anxious and did not want me to be out of sight. Dr. Maggie and her wonderful staff were so accommodating. They let me stay with my daughter to help calm her. After that, she had no trouble. Actually, she told me to stay in the waiting room while she had her appointment! I believe that the reason my daughter was able to get over her separation anxiety was, in part, due to the kindness she felt from the staff. We never felt rushed, and Dr. Maggie answered every one of many questions. Now my kids cant wait to put on their sunglasses and get sparkles on their teeth. I cant say enough about Dr. Maggie. We drive from Carrollwood to see her every 6 months!
