The ER doctors are about the most incompetent lot of morons that Ive ever come across. I went to the ER the other day because I had nausea, dizziness and stabbing eye pain with a headache. I was going because I was hoping that they would have a neurologist on staff to treat me. Nope. I got Dr. Dumbazz and the associated list of stooges. I had a doctor, who wasnt even my doctor come up to me (while I sat for three hours on a stretcher in the hallway) and tell me that "you dont know who I am but I know who you are" and then it became very clear that he in fact didnt know who the heck I was but was talking to the wrong patient. Then when my original doctor finally showed up (after 3 hours where I sat on a gurney in a hallway with no meds, no attention no nothing), it became clear that hed been GOOGLING my condition because he got it completely wrong. In an attempt to seem intelligent and like he knew what the heck he was talking about (he didnt) he proceeded to inform me how my condition had a whole lot of types (it doesnt) including a variation in the liver (he had apparently googled my condition and focused on a specific name which is also a name shared by a liver disease. Kind of like the difference between Bob Einstein and Albert Einstein.) You kind of want to know which one you are dealing with. He got it totally wrong. So anyway, it cost me 1500 bucks for basically NOTHING, they pushed some drugs on me and I got a referral to a neuro, which I cant even call until MONDAY so I just sit here I suppose for the next 2 days with my eye blowing up like a balloon. And of course if this doc is anything like the idiotic ER docs, I am pretty much doomed. Orlando appears to be the place where the doctors who barely managed to graduate from BFU go to kill people when real hospitals wont take them in.

WORST HOSPITAL IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA!! Every time I went there, I was treated poorly and was there for at least 6 hours! Once I went there because I was 5 weeks pregnant and bleeding and they did an ultrasound on me and said I was fine. But of course, I had to wait like 3 hours for the doctor to come in and tell me. So they put my boyfriend and I into a room to wait for the 3 hours. It wasnt even a normal hospital room. It was a supply room with the letter B taped to the door. So after the doctor came in to tell me everything was fine, he left without even taking my IV out. So I got dressed and then finally had to ask some random nurse in the hall to take it out for me. To make matters worse, I stormed out of there and left my discharge papers which I needed. I had to return the next day. When I showed up there, the lady at the desk asked me what I wanted. I told her I called before and I had left my discharge papers the day before. So she goes in the back somewhere to go get them. When she comes back out, I was asking her questions about getting Pregnancy Medicaid. Thats when she looked at my papers and said VERY loudly in front of a beyond full waiting room that I "wasnt pregnant and I had lost my baby." And she laughed about it and everyone turned to look at me. I was mortified. I told her the ultrasound said everything was fine and she said on the paper it said "possible miscarriage." I snatched the papers out of her hands and then I left. Well my son will be 2 in October. Obviously it wasnt a miscarriage. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT go to this hospital for any reason. Try Winter Park Hospital. They are awesome and fast and friendly!

I took my wife on a Sunday early morning (5am) after she woke up with a very severe eye infection. We tried calling ophthalmologist offices but no office was going to be open on a Sunday. The ER was our only option. After being in the ER for 2 hours and seeing multiple nurses and doctors, there was no one in the ER that had the knowledge to properly diagnose and treat her eye infection. They ended up calling an ophthalmologist who prescribed a drug over the phone. After leaving the ER we went to the pharmacy (CVS) to get the drug and it wasnt in stock. Went to another CVS and they also didnt have it. I called Walgreens and spoke with a rep who told me no Walgreens in the state of Florida had that drug in stock. I called other CVSs and finally found one that had it in stock almost an hour away. The prescribed drug was a very small bottle of a specific eye drop that cost $140. The next day (Monday) I took my wife to a reputable ophthalmologist since no improvement came to her eye. The ophthalmologist told her to stop using the drug that was prescribed to her by the ER as it was INEFFECTIVE and OBSOLETE. She was prescribed another drug by the ophthalmologist which worked. Fast forward to today and we received 2 bills from the hospital (so far). One bill is for the doctor for an original rate of $376 for which we were billed from our insurance $240.64. The other bill is for the ER services for an original rate of $855 for which we were billed from our insurance $412.97. Not to mention, the useless prescription we got for the drops was $140. In all, almost $800 in out of pocket expenses that provided NO HELP WHATSOEVER.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I dont understand how such an unprofessional place is stull oppened. We come here Because we are scared, to get compassion and most of all treatment. I visited the er because my pcp sent me due to an abnormal ekg. Imagine how scared I was. Instead they had me wait for over 2 hours in the waiting room and when I was finally sent to the back the doctor was more interested in criticizing my pcp for sending me to the er for an abnormal ekg. He then was upset at me for not understanding how I went in there for an abnormal ekg and ended up being treated for dehydration. When I no longer felt comfortable speaking to him I tried to get answered from the nurse and in her words "We are not here to diagnose you we are here to rule out emergencies". Then there was the registration clerk. Dear god how do they hire these people? This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. This individual told me they can not take care of me unless I paid upfront, meaning while I was in a room in the Er connected to the ekg machine. She was blown away when I told her I was a medical biller and thats not how things work LEGALLY! I guess she liked my insurance and wanted to get as much as possible out of me. This place makes me lose hope in humanity. So disgusting. You can also hear them speak so low of people who are on Medicaid. Please use this place as your last resort and I mean if you have to call an ambulance ask them if they can take you to a different hospital, if they say no then you go there because you have no choice.
