I have multiple areas of deterioration in my spine, especially in the lumbar and cervical areas. I had a cervical fusion in March as the discs were affecting my arms. After a few months, my neck and arms were still impaired, so my neurosurgeon sent me to Mike at Physical Therapy Specialists. After several visits, my neck and arms have greatly improved. I also know several exercises that can provide relief now that the therapy has ended. Because this therapy was so successful, I got another prescription to treat my lower back as it affects my gait and is a source of chronic pain. Mike has been working on increasing strength in my right hip. He was very astute in isolating the problem. I sometimes see Carl who is a more recent graduate of the UCF program, but already treats as a seasoned therapist.

Often in the busy rush of todays culture, customer service and care are lacking. NOT SO at PT Specialists. This is a place of help, patience and encouragement from the moment one walks in the door! They make the challenge of physical therapy FUN and there is a joyful energy in the room. Each worker gave me personal attention, care and helpful feedback. Michelle at the front desk remembered my name after my first visit and always was extremely helpful. That was 8 weeks ago. The front staff and Mikes team of physical therapist are just the best. They all make a point to smile, speak and engage you. Making you feel at ease. At one time or another as we baby boomers age, we need some help getting over a surgical experience or maybe an accident. I am at PTS now rehabbing with Mike and his very qualified stafff after having a total knee replacement last month. I highly recommend this group of friendly professionals - they make me work hard, but they have me so motivated I look forward to my three sessions a week. I used PTS twice, both for rehab for Achilles rupture. Yes I did both my Achilles!!!. Their team were amazing and got me back stronger and fitter than before my injury. The 2nd time was 5 weeks after surgery and I was walking on it again, albeit carefully. They really know their stuff and how to bespoke rehab to a specific injury. cant recommend them highly enough !!! I dealt with Mike DAmelio and he was fantastic.

They have a very friendly and personable staff. I would have liked them to be more hands on and further analyze my specific needs, so the full benefit of the exercises could be met. I almost felt like I would have received the same benefit if they were to just hand me the list of exercises and sent me on my way, however they did help me with proper form.
