I was in town on business recently and suffered a deep laceration of my thumb at a restaurant on I-Drive while there. This was late in the evening and I had the restaurant staff bind the wound (I was bleeding like a stuck pig) with gauze and tape, hoping that the bleeding would stop overnight. No such luck. The following morning I unwrapped the wound and it was still bleeding profusely, so I looked for an urgent care facility and found that these guys were the closest. I read the reviews and ALMOST didnt come here because of some of the unfavorable reviews. I am SO GLAD that I ignored the negative posts and came for my care at the Sand Lake Centra Care. I was treated quickly and efficiently and with the most courtesy I could have asked for. When the receptionist realized that I had a wound that needed attention I was evidently given priority over the folks getting drug tests and DOT screenings since I waited no time at all before a nurse called for me, asked me all the required questions, and then called the doctor in to tend to my wound. She quickly and efficiently performed the task of cleaning and repairing the laceration, then gave me prescriptions for meds, instructions for aftercare, and even some extra bandages and tape for the next couple of days. I was then quickly and courtiously checked out by another smiling receptionist who asked how I was. Im not sure just what happened with the folks who DIDNT LIKE this place, but I couldnt have asked for a better experience when out of town and away from my regular doctor. Thanks very much from a traveler who needed help and found it AND a smile or two at the same time.

DO NOT GO! We took our 9 year old son who obviously hd an ear infection to get an antibiotic while in Orlando in vacation. Dr. My-Duc Nguyen prescribed a antibiotic after a 3 minute exam of my son. We took the script to CVS and were told that that medication was not available and had not been available for months. CVS tried to call centra care for another script option and got no response. My hubby drove back to the office after CVS said there was nothing they could do. The office was then closed. There was no phone number where we could actually speak to anyone. We took the script to Walgreens thinking maybe a different pharmacy would have it on hand. The also said it had not been available for months. We ended up having to drive back to our home area (100 miles) to call our normal pediatrician and ask for a favor to get him meds. The next day I called Centra Care and spoke to Maria who was nice and told me Nancy their office manager would call me the next day to discuss the situation. It is now 5:48 pm on the following day and Nancy still has not called. I did get a flippant call from a girl named "Kealya" (spelling is likely very wrong on that) who told me. Winn Dixie has the prescribed meds and I should have gone there to get it filled. She also said that she could not help me because I "did not call" until the next day. I was livid and told her CVS called, we called and we went back to the location. Look there are too many choices in the area to settle for this run around. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Still waiting on the office manager to call....

I visited this location on Sunday afternoon for a Strep Throat infection and severe pain. The DR at this location is one of the rudest people I have ever come across. To your face - she is fake and lacks any form of care and sincerity. I caught her making faces about me when she walked out of the room after our initial meeting. THEN... proceeded to tell me that I needed to be concerned about my blood pressure (which was elevated due to the strep throat and fever) and working to reduce my weight. First of all, I didnt go there in pain and concerned for my health due to my weight on Sunday I went there because of the Strep Throat I had. She then, in a very ambidextrous manner gave me a script for Amoxicillin - but made sure to tell me about the referrals for High Blood Pressure she gave me were in the packet. She spent more time on this then the illness I went in for. Surprise Surprise on Monday I ended up in the hospital with Stage 4 Strep Throat and a fever of 103.1. These people - and Dr. Nguyen especially are unequipped to diagnose, treat and handle patients. If they cant conduct such practices at their offices I dont think they should advertise so and/or be part of the Florida Hospital program.

So let me start off as thank goodness we all come to the doctors because we feel good... Not only do they take an obnoxiously long time to even stick you in the doctors room, but than you sit back there for over an hour, the last time I was here was for a workers comp issue and had an appointment, even with that! Still sat in that damn lobby for over an hour and than almost an additional hour of waiting in the room. As a former employee of Florida hospital, I cant believe this place takes this long, Im surprised when they took my blood pressure they said everything was good, never have I ever been so furious at a doctors office, its sad, a very sad excuse for healthcare, I think Florida hospital needs to run its ways a little more on this office because the hospital I worked at would never let patients sit that long or have that many nurses or doctors in the back sitting bsing about what they are gonna have for lunch, worst excuse for healthcare, Id rather goto a random house on the street and ask for healthcare than goto this sad excuse of a place, so that being said, unfortunately theres not a rating below a star, so luckily for them, they Atleast get one by default

I went in for a visit for a couple of issues. I had an appt and I was seen 2 hrs AFTER my appt ( I waited in lobby for a 1 hr and 20 mins and in the exam room for 30 mins) before the speedy doctor came in. I explained my issues and the entire time shes GOOGLING my symptoms then tell me I have bronchitis. She then tells me, my runny eyes, with guk and waking up with the shut eye is from allergies. Never in all my years of living have I ever had allergies. I told her my entire house has the pink eye so she still does not give me anything for it and says come back if the symptoms get worse......are you fn serious???? The front staff was good, besides the wait, but the doctor, I reported her ass for a fake. The antibiotics did not work, i told her I was allergic to it and was told to come back in for another evaluation.I refuse to go back and allow them to bill my insurance again when I told her at the initial appointment what was going on, so I go to another Dr. and find out I have pneumonia....... This Dr (chinese lady) is just a rip off. Using google to find out whats wrong, wtf did she go to medical school for........COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST HER AND THE FACILITY!!!!
