I only wanted two shots today. And being aware that Centra Care is notorious for wait times, I decided to be proactive and schedule myself one of those "No Wait Reservations" they advertise on their website. But let me ask - what is the purpose of a reservation/appointment for which you do not have to wait if they are going to make you wait 1 hour and 40 minutes after your scheduled appointment time to take care of you? The receptionist told me there was only one nurse there, which seems like an abysmal lie. And even if that was the case, what could she have possibly been doing for almost 2 hours while I was waiting for my "appointment?" This may review may not reach anybody important or they will probably only give me a response of "thanks for the review, the center manager will be contacted" but if someone with the slightest modicum of power within the organization reads this, I implore you to do something about the quality of service they offer. I get that you guys have a right to make people wait since your "come anytime" slogan authorizes you to do so, but if someone makes an appointment, dont feed them lies as to why they have to lose an hour and a half of their day waiting for something that was preemptively scheduled. I hope someone finds this review helpful.

Please be cautious if you do NOT have an appointment you will not be seen! (Yes; at a walk in urgent care you need an appointment) Their hours are from 8 am to 5 pm Saturday. I bought my sister in-law to this location. 8:18 We were told it wold be a one hour wait 3 hours later still waiting. Due to people having appointments. We proceed to go online to make an appointment. It says walks in only available until 3pm. 10:20 (ONLY PEOLE IN WATING ROOM) "We ask the receptionist (Toni) are there anymore appointment " She says "Not that I see" Five minutes later someone walks in with a appointment and says we will not be seen till AFTER he is. Definition of Urgent care! : "A Urgent care is a category of *Walk-in clinic* focused on the delivery of ambulatory care in a dedicated medical facility outside of a traditional emergency room" This is not what you call good time management, or service. People make appointments with walk-ins everday in life and it is handle correctly and in a timely manner. I will not take my friends or family member to another Centra Care. We came less than a mile down the street to Care Spot. Not only did we see two other people from Centra care that did not want to wait my sister is now speaking with the MDO 20 min or so after being here!

Any time Ive been to this specific centracare, its been a horrible experience. The latest experience: my boyfriend and I went in for his appointment to get school vaccinations. The receptionist starts off by telling him they have no way of looking up his medical records so he either needs to go to his PCP or get all new vaccinations. We made the appointment at centracare rather than the PCP as this was the location he received his last round of vaccines. But we gave her the benefit of the doubt and assumed that was a mistake on our part. She then proceeds to tell him they didnt accept any insurance and that all costs would be out of pocket. Of course we were told this while Im looking at the Centracare website page titled "Insurances We Accept". In the end, no blood work was done to determine whether he needed certain vaccines (such as varicella or hep b), and he paid out of pocket costs for vaccinations that could have been covered by insurance. Just avoid this particular location if possible. Weve had great experiences elsewhere but Orange Ave is always a disaster.

Front desk attendant Kevin was terrible, I had to bring in a specimen for a test and he actually asked me if the doctor had told me to bring the specimen. I felt like saying " No, I just thought you might like to see it". Dr. Wheatley was great, but Walgreens messed up my prescriptions and when I called Centra Care again, Kevin answered and I never received a call back, so I did not get my prescriptions. Three days later I received a message to call Centra Care ( I assumed for my test results), Kevin answered again and transferred me to a line that just rang and rang. I called the main number again and Kevin transferred me to someone who said no one had ever called me and was I sure it was that facility, but they had my test results. ?????? Florida Hospital has strict guidelines for customer service and these people do not come close to meeting that. The entire process was ridiculous and I will never return to that Centra Care even though I did like the doctor.

I walked in on sunday 445pm knowing it was close to closing. the front desk practically was throwing daggers at me w/ her eyes. I told her I know it was late and apologized but I just needed a tetanus shot because I stepped on a nail. she looked at me with disgust. I then asked if she accepted my insurance and she laughed and said nope! and was all smiles. I asked how much for the shot and she said well probably around $220 with a smile and little giggle. I was never so upset and angered over her behavior just because of the time. And treated with such disrespect when she found out my insurance and didnt have to do any work . I ended up going down the road to CareSpot who also closed at 5pm with 10 minutes to spare. I was welcomed with a smile and friendly workers that took care of me ASAP and charged me $70. And they didnt not take my insurance either. I will NEVER recommend centracare by florida hospital to anyone!

I went because my right shoulder was hurting really bad and I could barely move it. When I went in I was told to wear a mask or go outside to wait since the receptionist deemed I had a cold, which I didnt. The wait was pretty quick, they x-rayed my shoulder and gave me steroids to help it. They told me if cd make my blood sugar (diabetic) go up. It went up to over 500 so I quit taking the steroids. I never did hear if they found anything wrong with my shoulder. I just tried calling and the call rang around the world for 5 minutes before Kevin picked it up and told me was transferring me to the back. No one ever answered there. It would be nice to know if they read anything on the x-ray that would be helpful to my family doctor or an orthopedic doctor.

I went back in July 2016 for vomiting, diarrhea and sulfur burps. I just had a baby a month ago and still had full medicaid. The doctor that saw me did nothing for me. She asked me some questions and felt my belly, but she didnt do any fecal tests or anything. She told me to go to the hospital if I started seeing blood in my stool. Well, these symptoms have been coming back around the same time each month. Here we are in October and Im still suffering and my Insurance ran out in August. Im pretty sure I have some sort of parasite, but she did not test for anything. I am highly disappointed with the doctor here. Shes was very accusing and acted like she didnt believe a lot of the symptoms I was describing or how often I was having them.
