Eye Exam was fantastic! EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH GETTING GLASSES THERE!!!! CROOKS!! Heres my story...When I went in for my exam I was asked if Id considered progressive lenses. I told the dr I was concerned about motion sickness which she agreed some people can get from them but said they may work out for my vision and said I should at least consider it as an option at some point. The gentleman fitting me for glasses was a bit more pushy and convinced me with the guarantee that I could bring them back to exchange them within 30 days of trying them if I was not happy with them for any reason. The progressive lenses cost me an additional $125 bringing my out of pocket cost (after insurance paid there portion) to $500 for my glasses. I did have issues with motion sickness just like I thought I would so I brought them back within the 30 days to have them switched to regular lenses. No problem with that. What they did not mention to me when they were convincing me to at least try the progressive lenses was that they would not reimburse me any of the $125 I had to pay to get the lenses I didnt really want in the first place.

I highly recommend Emerald Coast Eye Care to anyone who is not already a patient there. I have been a patient there for almost 3 years and have been incredibly pleased with the service and care that Dr. Patterson and the staff at Emerald Coast Eye Care have provided. Dr. Patterson is professional, kind, and great at communicating. In addition to Dr. Patterson, the staff at Emerald Coast are so helpful, nice, and caring. When I was being fitted for my contacts for the first time I was really bad at putting my contacts in and it took a while for me to get the hang of it, but the optometrist techs there were patient, helpful, and reassuring in teaching me how to correctly put my contacts in. I have never had a problem with any of the contacts or glasses that I have purchased from Emerald Coast, the daily contacts that they recommended for me are super comfortable and the glasses are high quality and durable.

I too stopped in to look for frames but didnt even get the opportunity to look. Was told they will not file my insurance unless I had my eye exam there too. Im 60 years old and this is the first time I have had this problem. Always got my prescription and purchased my glasses where ever I found a pair of frames that I liked. It is there loss and the receptionist was not nice when she told me. I wont be going back.

Fantastic experience! Dr. Patterson is thorough and really cares about his patients. The office staff is friendly and efficient. Scheduling was a breeze and I was in and out in no time. Oh, and they had a great selection of glasses and sunglasses. It was difficult to choose, but the optician there helped me pick out a fabulous pair of Coach sunglasses that now I wont go anywhere without!

Crooks! I get there and have a ton of things I have to sign, one says that other than a copay, you also have to pay a "contact fitting fee" which can range from 50-100 dollars! If your eyesight has changed even a tiny bit theyll charge you more. Because of my vision insurance which pays for contacts, I still had to pay $150 and most of it was just for checking my vision!

If you think you will be able to schedule appointments from their website (because thats what they say you can do) think again. This was a deal breaker for me because I wish to do less and less business by phone. They just missed out on 6 more patients. Sorry Emerald Coast Eye Care. Let me know if you change your policy.

My exam was excellent. But the pricing on their glasses was ridiculous . Found out after purchasing, I could have saved about 200.00 by going elsewhere. Even with my insurance, my glasses were over 400.00! So go there to get eye exam, but please do yourself a favor and shop around for you glasses.

I absolutely love the frames. Unfortunately, I was informed by the receptionist after spending an ample amount of time looking at frames, I first had to purchase an eye exam THERE to be able to purchase my prescription glasses through my insurance.
