I took my son to the Pembroke Pines Location for his first ever dental appointment... he was completely traumatized by the short woman with braces. She was in a hurry and was yelling at him to open his mouth, stop crying, and stop being scared. I found out, by listening to the other girls in the office, that the whole office was short staffed due to people being on vacation and 2 people calling in sick. NO excuse for the way my son was treated. His gums were bleeding profusely and she was very forceful and had absolutely no patience. I even explained that he was shy and very apprehensive and requested she have some patience. The dentist was soft spoken and gentle with my son. She was extremely patient, caring and understanding, and is the ONLY reason I chose to take him back a second time. I flat out told the woman that cleaned his teeth as well as the dentist that that the woman was no longer allowed near my son. I was absolutely livid and have never come so close to grabbing someone by her shirt and pulling her away from him. When I took him back the second time, my sons father went with us and I left the room. When I came back the woman I specifically said was not to be near my son, was there in the room. The dentists are the only professional people in this office. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the dentists, however, the pediatric hygentist my son saw, was absolutely horrendous. We paid for his entire dental care up front (only half was done). I am in the process of getting a refund for the remaining amount so that I can take him somewhere else. Its also nearly impossible to get an appointment on a day that works for you on a day that you need. I had 2 days over a 4 week window to try to get in and was advised that the only days they had were, the days after. If I cant get in within a 4 week window on a day that works for me, its obvious they are too busy for their patients.

I get extreme anxiety over just the thought of going to the dentist. I had a chipped tooth that need to be fixed and from start to finish I was treated with care; practically like a VIP! Dr. Yu worked with me in terms of choosing the best option to fit me and my pocket. The support staff were very attentive and gentle. For the first time I did not need to be sedated to have a procedure done! And Renee at the front desk is absolutely stellar!! The only reason that I did not give a full 5 stars is that it was not fully explained to me that I was being outfitted with a temporary cap at that visit and that I would have to come back for the permanent cap. I think it was assumed that I knew that. But, no big deal. Its not like I look forward to going back but Im certainly not dreading it as I was before. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has a fear/avoidance of dentists. They are exactly as their name implies.

I was referred to Gentle Dental by my insurance company and I am very happy to say I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. The office was very welcoming and the staff was great. My daughter and I were greeted with a friendly smile and Renee was excellent. It was my daughters first time visiting a dentist and I was a little nervous but everyone we met was helpful and really made her feel comfortable. Her procedure was quick and painless. Dr. Ortizs personality was friendly and she was very professional. The checkout process was quick and the follow-up emails and text messages were appreciated. This type of care is what I really look to have for my family and I am glad that Ive now switched my entire family to be patients of Gentle Dental. -Maisha Custard

I have found my dentist! For years I have been deathly afraid of the dentist so as always I went to Gentle Dental because I needed my biyearly check up. After having my x-rays done on my first visit I was told that one of my fillings had fallen off. I was assigned Dr Bockian and he was an angel. He realized how I felt and he immediately made me comfortable. His assistant Naisha was great. Miriam the receptionist was very informative. In the afternoon I went to have my cleaning with Ellen and she was wonderful. She explained every step and I felt very comfortable. I can not say enough of the service me and my husband received. God willing we will be long time patients of Gentle Dental Group. Merry Christmas!

I had oral surgery this morning at 8 am. Was greeted by friendly staff immediately and only waited a short time before being taken back into the operating room. I was nervous abouy getting 4 teeth extracted at once without sedation but the assistant and dr made me feel very comfortable and casual about the procedure. The surgery didnt take nearly as long as i expected and I was out of the dentist office by 915 - awesome. Luckily they prescribed me decent pain meds which made my experience even move enjoyable. Which is probably why im writing this review. Thanks Gentle Dentle. P.s the Pembroke Pines office is much cleaner and the staff is more knowledgable than the Davie office imo

I got my wisdom teeth removed from here, the procedure was fast, and they schedule me in at good times and the staff is alright. I recieved almost no post operative information as to what I should do, maybe that is the norm for wisdom teeth extraction. I will continue to come here, but I have not seen the 5 star rating when I visit. However they are very good with scheduling appointments ASAP and in accordance to your schedule.

Everyone at your office is wonderful. Im always impressed with the receptionist because she projects such a happy attitude, remembers my name, my husbands, etc. She should be recognized for this because its rare to find an employee like her! Dr. Bochian and the entire staff are true professionals and Im always confident about the dental work being done. You have a very cohesive team at that office! My best, Teri Puentes

The hygienist did not clean my teeth very well. She did not offer to let me look at her work, I have just as much plaque build up as before I went. I am also allergic to both latex and nitirile gloves, they did not have any vinyl gloves available and told me to just bring in my own set. Not very professional in my opinion. Not impressed, I will be changing dental providers after this.

I love the staff at Gentle Dental and Dr. Ortiz is simply amazing. She is the perfect Dentist for children as she understands how to sooth their fears, and she is very good at her work.
