Doctor Gill and Giovando are fantastic, let me just say that up front. They are both kind and patient and very interested in getting your pet taken care of, very thorough when examining and they will answer all your questions without annoyance and explain everything to you if you want. I loved them both very much and have never been so happy with vets before... but the office staff and general disorganization of the rest of the hospital is whats making me give this place the lowest rating possible. And if I could go any lower I would. I got handwritten labels on my pets prescriptions, no indication as to what was inside or how much. I called in for refills and, after waiting half an hour for someone to even locate my pets file, got told that there was nothing written down. Even though my animal was on three different prescriptions and had been seen several times. When I finally got an actual printed label the medicine listed was different than what I was told I needed by the doctor but was assured by the OFFICE that it was correct. And frankly, I dont think theyre qualified to make a lot of the decisions that they did. Never once did they consult with the vets, just assured me everything was as it should be. And when I wanted to speak to my vet it took me 3 calls and over a week to get a call back. Whether that was because he was busy or because the office wasnt getting the messages to him I couldnt tell you but it was ridiculous. Worst of all when my pet was having an emergency of course I called to tell them I was bringing her in, this was forty five minutes before their set closing time. The women who answered the phone put me on hold to find her file (for what reason I have no idea, I told her what was happening and had she told my vet he wouldve known automatically) and ten or so minutes later another women picks up to tell me that theyre closing and wont be able to see me. In the middle of a life threatening EMERGENCY. Which I thought was really weird since theyd just told me the other day theyd stayed until ten at night handling emergencies. Guess mine wasnt that important. They told me take her to the emergency hospital, which is $125 up front and something I could not afford. But they wouldnt let me bring her in, these people that I trusted to take care of my family would not let me bring her in to see her doctor. The Emergency Vet that they recommend you go? Even they were appalled. Doubly so when I couldnt tell them what two of her prescriptions were, only what they were supposed to be. And again when the label on the third was apparently too high a dose. Something I had asked North Port about before. The label said G which is usually a gram. I thought that was high for what it was, so did the emergency vet. The lady on the phone when I called North Port (you know, the ones Im not sure are qualified to say half the things they do?) said it meant a grain. But the emergency vet said usually a grain was GR not just G. So it was a mess from the time we were out of the north port doctors presence because the office is just unreal. And sadly my pet didnt make it through this emergency that my doctor couldnt see because "sorry, were closing."

i would not come there if you pay me....you already ripped me off for over $600.. i took my dog to a real vet and he run the right test, the one that you didnt.. i also found out that the meds you give my dog arent even used for a U.T.I. i have ask you once for a 50% refund which is more then fair scene you did nothing for my dog...if i dont hear from you i am going to report this to the BBB and then talk to my lawyer tuesday to see what my next step will be...also plan to call tallahassee. BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF... The new vet i have said more of their customers have come to him....I plan on going to every review site there is and warn people about these people also will call the local news station. I am home everyday so i will not stop until i get my money back... God will judge you when time comes and I hope you rot in hell.

I moved to PSL with my family in June 2002. From the moment we arrived, I mean the moment - our house wasnt ready and had to board our dog for 30-days - North Port has been our vet and our kennel when we go away. We have used the kennel services on every vacation we had gone on for the last ten years - with two dogs, when brought there, they actually run to the staff. Through hurricanes, and whenever we needed them - they were there. As far as vet services - if human doctors were as good as this staff, we would all be better off. We get follow-up phone calls from the vet him or herself asking how "our boys" are doing. Can you ask any more than that from a vet?

We boarded here last year and returned to happy healthy dogs. Im here to schedule another stay at the kennel for them. Weve also used North Port as our vet. North Port went through a phase where every time you took your pet in youd see a different vet. That made it hard but lately - weve seen a single vet every time and shes wonderful. I love this place because they dont try to "upsell" you on expensive food or other BS. Weve gotten great care - and great advice for our pets - both our dogs and our cats.

My two girls (Doggies) had a non stressful event. Waiting time was short. Questions, answers and education was done without having to wait until the exam was done so you dont forget what you wanted to ask. Staff is caring and compassionate. Felt comfortable and so did the girls. The Vet has excellent knoweledge, experience and a gentle touch in handling of my girls, also, with kindness, caring and compassion. Even in naturals (Omega 3). This is important to me and my girls. We strive for wellness.

I agree with Laurie. Personally, the service provided by the entire staff at this Vet has been top of the line. Dr. McNamara has been great with our pet and her addition to the team has solidified the already strong team. Bonnie, who runs the Boarding department, is not only great with our dog Chica, but has been with all of our pets for the thirteen years we have had the pleasure of knowing and working with her. We HIGHLY recommend the Northport St. Lucie Animal Hospital for all your pet needs.

We have a 7 year old Australian Shephard who has been cared for by North Port St Lucie Animal Hospital since she was 9 weeks old. We have always had a great experience at the facility both with the staff and the boarding kennel as well as her care by the veteranarians. Sophie loves everybody there and even though she is a "barker" and very noisy, it is obvious that they enjoy her and are very tolerant of her. We recommend North Port St Lucie Animal Hospital very highly.
