My cat was not able to urinate. Our vet closes at noon on Tuesdays. I looked up Vets in my area and read a couple good reviews for this one so out of desperation, decided to give them a try. They were able to get him right in. The doctor started to examine him and made a comment about the tartar build up on his teeth. I figured here we go, my cat needs his teeth cleaned for $400. Just a side note, I have had 11 animals in my lifetime and have never had any of their teeth cleaned. Im not against it just dont think its necessary, especially if they eat dry food and have chew toys. So the doctor says he is blocked and we can do a temporary fix or a long term fix which would require surgery. The surgery would cost $1500. The temporary fix would be to empty his bladder with a catheter and feed him prescription food for the rest of his life. I didnt want to do either but this is my son and wifes favorite animal. The office manager knew I was struggling with the decision and she was kind enough to offer the surgical option at the same rate as the temporary fix. It was all down hill from there. We agreed to the surgery and went home thinking everything was going to be OK. We called the next day to check on him before surgery. They said, he was doing good and would be going into surgery soon. We called again in the afternoon to find out how he did in surgery and they said they had to postpone it a day because another animal came in that needed immediate attention and they would be doing the surgery tomorrow. We called the next day and they said he was getting ready for surgery. They called after surgery and said he was doing OK and we could pick him up tomorrow. When I went to pick him up he looked like Frankenstein. He had stitches up and down his entire rear end. I thought this was a simple procedure so I was surprised. I brought him home and he just laid around, didnt drink or eat and you could tell he was in pain. I called the Vet and explained he was not doing good and they told me to give him a couple more days to heal but I insisted I bring him in. The doctor said he was fine and sent us home. I buried our beloved cat the next day. I think back to the experience and thought it was very nice of them to offer the surgery for half price until I got home and read up on it. This surgery should have been a last resort. No blood tests were taken and nothing else was considered and Im out $500 and have a 4 year old dead cat. I never write reviews for things so this one really has affected my entire family emotionally.

I recently moved to FL and needed to pick up a new supply of Heartguard for my dog. They left us sitting in an exam room for 75 minutes without saying anything (I had an appointment and showed up exactly on time), I ended up having to go remind them we were there. The vet said he had to do a physical exam before giving us the medicine ($45), which he spent about 30 seconds doing and it was a joke. We had bought the 1 year puppy plan at our previous VCA before moving to FL (about $900 for the year) - which we were promised would transfer if we moved - but the vet in Ft Pierce denied this, so I essentially paid VCA double for this visit....he also gave us a different brand of medicine then she had been on, I asked if it was OK to switch and he just kind of shrugged and said something like it should be fine....I also had them trim my dogs nails ($15), they took her into another room and brought her back freaked out and she had peed on herself (I guess they were a bit rough). Were just glad the 1-year plan we pre-paid for was almost up when we moved to FL, otherwise we would be out a lot of money. I definitely dont recommend this VCA, they scared my dog enough to pee on herself just trimming her nails, and left me feeling ripped off, in addition to wasting 2 hours here just to get heartworm medicine. The vet also came off as incompetent, I wouldnt bring my dog here with a serious problem. This is disappointing because our previous VCA was great.

This is one of the worst clinic I have ever been to. A few months ago they misdiagnosed my dog and told me there was nothing wrong with her. My dog was having seizures and urinary problems, they told me it was natural for this breed of dog. Instead of giving her a thorough examination they told me that everything was fine and that there was no need to worry. I continued to take my dog to the clinic until the day of June 1st when my dog sitter called and said that my dog was having multiple seizures. I took her to clinic and they finally decided to give her an x-ray. It turned out she had a massive tumor in her stomach. Two days later she died. One of the only reason she died was because she was not given proper medication and a full examination even though we continued to complain about the seizures

I am convinced Dr J added years to my beloved flathaired lab Xenas life by early, accurate diagnosis and chemo treatment of her adenoidal cancer at age 14. As she aged, the kennel staff was always lovingly gentle with her. She was still playing and trying to keep up with puppy Tooie the day before the night she went outside, laid under a bush, went to sleep and just never woke up at 18. By having Tooie on a premium healthcare plan which includes it and many other scheduled services for an affordable monthly charge, I avoid paying this elsewhere reported purported $400 for tooth scaling which anyway is, if purchased by itself at retail rates, reasonable as it requires full anesthesia and multiple professionals in attendance. Im not crazy about the VCA merger but OK so far.

Recently our dog got very sick and we brought him to TRI County Animal Hospital. The Vets suggested that we hospitalize Louie because of pancreatic issues. The entire staff treated Louie like he was their dog and allowed us to visit him as often as we liked. At the end we lost Louie due to pancreatic cancer. It felt good knowing that my dog was being cared for by professionals who truly cared for him and my family. I strongly recommend Tri County to anyone who is looking for a good vet on the treasure coast.

We have a much beloved 15 year old Yorkie who has been miserably sick for many months. Its been a constant cycle hot nose, stomach and bowel problems, then he recovers a little just to get sick again. I have been to 4 different vets with no end. While traveling I found Tri-county. Wow, what a difference. The Vet and Vet tech were caring, attentive, and they know their stuff. Problem solved! Our Yorkie has not been sick since the visit to Tri County and hes more peppy and its a new world at my house.
