Thank You Dr. Armstrong & Staff! Significant Expertise, Experience & Knowledge – Highly Trained Clinician – Friendly & Gracious Staff It has been a nightmare the last few weeks trying to determine this skin condition on my arms that reoccurs every winter/early spring. The allegorist refers me to the dermatologist after they can’t figure it out and then the dermatologist refers me back to the allegorist. I have seen 3 dermatologists BEFORE Dr. Frank Armstrong. After 3 weeks of waiting and being very inpatient I finally got in to see Dr. Armstrong. After about 3 minutes of explaining what was occurring on my arms I notice a blank stare come across Dr. Armstrong’s face as he was waiting for me to finish. He then proceeded to tell me exactly what was causing the hives/rashes on my arms, what the condition was called and prescribed me medication. Flabbergasted, I explained what I have been through the last 6 weeks seeing other dermatologists and allegorists and that I was very skeptical that within a 5 minute conversation and quick pass over of my arms he could diagnose the condition. He assured me he was correct and remarked about the experience he had seeing this condition before and that the if the medication didn’t clear it up to come back and see him. I countered and told him that’s what I heard from the other 4 specialists I have already seen. He replied he was confident I would not see him again and although unspoken; his body language seem to indicate that those other 4 specialists where not on the same level as him. I specifically held off on writing this review until my hives/rash on my arms cleared up. It has been 10 days and I am now back to normal. I am simply amazed at the expertise, experience and knowledge Dr. Armstrong and his staff have. I wasted SO MUCH time going to other places because they could see me right away – mostly because I’m severely inpatient. It is very clear to me now why there is an extended wait to see Dr. Armstrong and his staff. Apparently, I just found out what a lot of other people in the Seminole area already know – that Armstrong Dermatology is #1 and there is no comparison.

My experience is contrary to most of the high praise posted here. The office is cramped and dated. The front-desk staff were fine, it appeared one of the front-desk employees was training the other, resulting in things taking a bit longer -- no problem. The wait time wasnt terrible, though I was seen about 15 minutes late. Whitnie Saron AARNP was the lady who saw me. I came in for my annual full body check for moles, as I have a history of precancerous moles being biopsied and removed. Whitnie glanced at my chest and back (literally less than 10 seconds combined), then just asked me if I had any moles on my lower body. She didnt check my scalp, feet, hands, ears, or any other area where Ive been checked by dermatologists before. I actually had a large precancerous mole removed from my foot previously, an area she didnt even ask to see. She gave off a terrible "know it all, my way or the highway" vibe, a very bad quality in a medical practitioner. Will not be returning to Whitnie Saron for any follow-ups or further treatment. I am suspicious of other reviews stating how amazing, attentive, and knowledgeable she was, and I believe you should be too.

Dr. Armstrong is the most highly qualified dermatologist in Pinellas County. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Dermatogy and understands the systemic causes of any and all dermatologic disease and skin disorders. He is up on the most current treatments, pharmaceutical remedies and surgical interventions. His bedside manner is second to none; he treats his patients like he would his own family members. His nursing staff and front desk people are warm, compassionate and highly professional individuals. I have been treated by another large dermatology practice in Pinellas County and there in no comparison in overall quality of care, personal attention, attention to detail, ease of scheduling, guaranteed care by a physician and the results that you will see in your skin care. Very fortunate to have Dr. Armstrongs practice here in Pinellas County. I would drive a hundred miles to see him before another dermatologist.

I came in for a "checkup" and I get there a little earlier than my appointment time. Im sitting in the waiting room. I get called to go to one of the rooms and sit down, so I do. I must have sat there for 5 min and the doctor comes in they ask me if Im using the acne cream. I said I ran out, they said Ill give you a sample so you can have something to use while your waiting to get more acne products in the mail. I must have sat in the room for no more than 10 min total just for them to ask questions.. then they wanted to charge me $87.. THEY COULD HAVE ASKED ME THESE QUESTIONS OVER THE PHONE! They didnt even do anything! Then the lady at the desk say we gave you samples that cost about $100.. your kidding, the samples are no bigger than a nickel in size! I WILL NEVER BE COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE AND WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW TO NOT GO THERE EITHER! biggest ripoff!

I would not go anywhere else or trust my skin to any other dermatologist. I am a patient of Whitnie S. , ARNP and have been for over five years now. I trust her completely and know that I am getting an honest educated healthcare provider when I see her. Any concerns are addressed in a friendly manner and I an always treated with respect and confidentiality. Whitnie is friendly and very welcoming and most of all competent and confident in the care that she provides. I would not think of going anywhere else and have brought my fiancee to see her for treatment as well and her was pleased with his care and his problem was resolved in a prompt and timely fashion. I always send friends and family and have always received great feedback from them as well. I wont go anywhere else.

I an appointment for an annual skin check as well as some help with Rosacea which Ive been dealing with for years & never saw any improvement. My wait was short, the staff seemed professional, and the office was clean. I saw the NP, Whitnie and another staff member who was very pleasant. Whitnie found a spot on my shoulder that I knew of but thought it looked pretty normal. A biopsy was done and luckily she found it because it WAS pre-cancerous! She gave me a RX & recommended a cleanser & my skin improved a lot! I would say my Rosacea was 90% better and is now under control. Im very happy with her & continue to see her for regular check-ups & monitoring any more suspicious moles that pop up!

Ive been a patient for a few years and adore the doctors. I saw Whitney, the AARNP, at the Seminole Blvd location and she was NOT friendly. She didnt even examine my skin. Her nurse, Alisha, was also not friendly. They never smiled and could have cared less about my issues. They prescribed medicine that goes through a mail order pharmacy and told me Id have it in 24 hours. When I called the pharmacy, they said 2 to 4 business days PLUS one of them wasnt in "the plan" so they had to research it. If you make an appointment with Armstrong Dermatology, DONT see the AARNP. See the doctors as they really are fantastic. The AARNP and her nurse will make you feel like you are bothering them.
