I have been going to this dermatology on and off for about 5-6 years. When I started going there, I was too young to realize the absolute lack of professionalism present in the office. First, the waiting room is always cramped and smells of cigarette smoke. Second, I ALWAYS have to wait 45 minutes to an HOUR past my appointment time. At my last appointment I was experiencing a bad break out of a new type of acne. Dr Walker didnt look at my face, touch my face, ask if I was wearing makeup, NOTHING. The appointment lasted a whole 3 minutes which consisted of him asking what was wrong, me telling him I was having an intense breakout, and him writing a prescription for three medications. He did not instruct me how to use these medications whatsoever — luckily my sister is a pharmacist and I could ask her. When I asked her, she said this type of medication is completely useless for my acne. Nevertheless, Dr. Walker prescribed me it. The lack of thoroughness is evident in this practice and I would NOT recommend it.

I went to Dr. Walker several years ago because I had a rash on a couple of my older tattoos. I have multiple tattoos and want to protect my investment. Dr. Walker clearly isnt a fan of art as he was quick to blame the tattoo ink for all of my problems. He took a biopsy and sent it to the lab. When I came back, I think the results came back negative as an allergen but he strongly recommended that I dont get anymore. The actual test results were not well explained so much as his recommendation for me to stop getting tattoos. He didnt really have any answers for me other than to see an allergist. Turns out Im not allergic to anything that would have caused the skin rash. I am not allergic to tattoo ink and I have had several more since then with no problems. The allergist suggested it was stress related and went away after a few of his suggestions. I felt Walker was overly prejudice and made his decision and recommendations based off his dislike of body art.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Walkers for over 10 years. Hes very knowledgeable and thorough. He has a down to earth personality that makes you comfortable from start because you can tell he cares and will take the time necessary with his patients. As an adult, I developed eczema. He took the time to explain the condition to me, discuss triggers, and remedies to make sure I had a thorough understanding. For some medication is preferred but Im more into long-term permanent fixes which hes always willing to discuss with me rather than just writing a prescription. His office staff is very nice, many of the ladies are tenured and have been there since Ive been a patient which for me is nice to see. You may experience a bit of a wait at appts but any doctor you dont have to wait at least a few minutes for may be a red flag. The max Ive waited was 30 minutes.

I went into Walker Derm. for a few issues I have been having with my skin. I have what seems to be a rash on my face, a itchy patch on my scalp and a cyst. I was scheduled to see Dr. Walker, but that is not who I saw. An older woman came in and read my chart, did not look at my face or scalp WHATSOEVER! She only looked at my face from afar and immediately told me to get allergy testing (which I have already done) so after I told her that I had a full alergy panel recently she prescribed me 3 different things. Again without examining me at all. Its been about two months since this appointment and I have been using the prescriptions regularly with no relief. I will be going elsewhere. She also did not offer to take care of my cyst. Very unprofessional. Just like 90% of these other reviews she just wanted to get me out the door as fast as she could.

I am not pleased with the end result at all. It was a waste of money that I really did not have to begin with, I just decided to invest in myself because I really wanted this part of me to be changed. Do take into consideration that I am a African Amercain and the information I found on Laser hair removel for people of color says that for the most part it should not be done because of what it may do to our skin, which causes it to be more difficult to get the right setting to remove our hair. I asked these question at Dr walkers office and was assured that they will be fine and 80% of the hair will be gone for good. Unfortunately it was not true. The staff are nice individuals but I am very unhappy with the outcome of the laser hair removel.

I was able to get an appointment 2 weeks out, so I thought great! This will be a good experience! How wrong I was! I came in only to having to wait 45-60 minutes and nowhere to change my babys diaper (I am a stay at home mom and dont have a sitter). I had to sit on the restroom floor and put her in my lap to avoid her being on the floor! I was pretty disgusted at this. When he finally saw me, he told me there was nothing he could do for my acne. He was only in the room for about 4 minutes and said he couldnt do anything because I breastfeed. He prescribed cream weaker than OTC stuff that is safe for breastfeeding moms. I will be going elsewhere!

Earl Walker is a complete arrogant jerk, my daughter went to him for a skin condition that was causing her extreme pain and he was extremely rude and uncaring to her. He made her cry and when she started to cry he was very hateful to her. I am gonna report him to the medical board and the better business bureau. For anyone that is thinking about going to see him I would advise you to go somewhere else. This man shouldnt even have a practice!!!!! If you are looking for a provider that has compassion for his patients then Earl Walker is not the one to go to.

Go elsewhere. Ive been going here for over a year and everytime I go in for an appointment I forget how slooow this place is. Today I waited for an hour in the lobby with a room filled with others waiting for their appointments. In that time (a whole hour) the nurses called 1 person back and maybe 2 people came out from the back after their appointments. I remember the long wait happening last time for my appointment. Such a waste of my time. I will be finding a new dermatologist.

I just walked out of my appointment and had a GREAT experience. Of course I read these reviews prior to going in, so I was cautious. Are they providing me with inaccurate information as the previous reviews stated? Absolutely not. I met with Denise, the physicians assistant, and she was great. I had a very personal condition and the girl that saw me initially was super nonjudgmental and couldnt have been cooler. I will DEFINITELY be seeing them again.

I had a great experience with Lisa, the nurse practioner. This time, they scheduled me with Dr. Walker. I read the negative reviews on here and thought people were being over-sensitive and dramatic. He IS horrible. He seemed incredibly impatient the whole 4 minutes he was in the room. I have a cyst on my scalp which he couldnt feel, so he tried to humiliate me. He is a cocky, pompous jerk. Hes good at getting under your skin, all right.
