The doctor is great - super friendly and explains things to you in an easy to understand kind of way. You never feel rushed like you do when talking to some doctors. Unfortunately, this is overshadowed by the massive wait time. Despite having a scheduled appointment, you will wait... and wait... and wait... hours after your scheduled appointment to be seen even if you were early or on time. Yes, I said HOURS. Even after you are called for your turn you will be left alone in a room to wait for the assistant, or doctor, or who knows who MULTIPLE times for 10-20 minutes at a time. This is common practice (over the past 3 years in my experience.) I was told by office staff that it is always that busy and that they are always running behind. Overbooking? Taking too many walk-ins? Im not sure what the problem is but I couldnt take it anymore and finally had to go elsewhere. I went a few miles down the street and was seen at my exact appointment time (yay) and not left waiting around for 20-30 minutes by myself in a room with a doctor who was just as competent and friendly (perfect.) I even ordered my contacts for cheaper than ever before. This place is great if you are okay with waiting to be seen, then waiting some more, and then some more...

I took my granddaughter to this office after she complained that it was hard for her to see the board at school and I noticed that when she was reading she seemed to squint. She was given the eye exam and then the doctor proceeded to say that there was nothing wrong with her eyes and that he thought she wasnt telling the truth about not being able to see the images in the machine. He said a lot of kids just want to wear glasses like their friends and then questioned her again and said he didnt believe that she couldnt see well. Before we left he flipantly said that maybe she needed to see a neurologist and that he would forward this information to our pediatrician and would get back to us. Needless to say. we or our doctor never heard a word from their office. As my 11 year old granddaughter and I were getting in the car, she said mema, hes calling me a liar, I tried to assure her that that was not the case and that sometimes people even so called doctors make mistakes. I took her back to her pediatrician and she was given a vision screening and her vision in 1 eye is 200/20. I would never reccommend this doctor! And shame on him for making an 11 year old little girl feel terrible.

I called this office to get a quote prior to making appoint. I agreed with price and went for a contacts and glasses Rx. Once it was all done I was charged $20 extra and told the quote given was a mistake. Said fine and prepaid for 6 month supply of contacts. Was given a similar trial set (Accuvue not in stock) of contacts and told that I would receive a call in "two days" to be fitted for correct contacts. Its been a week and a half and no notification via phone or email. I called the office and was put on hold.... 19 minutes later, still on hold, I walked into the office. A young lady (had to be a teenager) attended me. I asked for a manager, and showed I was still on hold. She checked and said the manager was too busy to see me. I then explained my situation. The young lady gave me my contacts (which had come in the week before) and my Rx. This young lady should be in charge and the manager should work for her. Not sure if Ill ever go back. Bad service and experience.

I am a long time patient of Dr. Carlson. His new location is easier to find than his old one and is clean, comfortable and attractive. He is a wonderful doctor and his staff are very friendly and helpful. I wear glasses and have diabetes so diabetic retinopathy is a concern. There are no long waits and yet he was able to take all the time needed to do a thorough examination to address both my concerns and answer all my questions to my satisfaction. I price shopped at several eye glass stores and Dr. Carlsons store had the best prices for frames and lenses around unless you order online which I have had mixed experiences with. He is also very understanding with bringing little ones along as he has kids of his own. I highly recommend Dr. Carlsons business to anyone in need of an eye doctor and/or glasses or contact lenses.

I am a long-time patient of Dr. Carlsons and I have always received excellent vision care. During my recent annual exam, I was seen quickly and had sufficient time with Dr. Carlson to complete the exam in an unhurried manner and have the results of the exam explained to my satisfaction. Dr. Carlson and his staff are friendly and professional and want to help their patients understand good vision health. I recommend Dr. Carlson to my friends and family without reservation.

The office is open and airy, and convenient to get to, with ample parking. The staff is friendly and courteous. I would suggest name tags, it helps me, since I am really bad with names! Dt Carlson is friendly, professional and determined to give me the best sight I can get. We have tried several combinations of contact lenses, I have not been pushed into "making do". I appreciate that. I would recommend Dr Carlson to my friends without hesitation.

Ayee my appointment was at 11:35. They called me back at 11:40-45 which was cool because that wasnt long, doc came in knew what he was doing got me done quick. The receptionist was cool as hell and the girl who helped pick out glasses as everything(I forgot her name but she has an LG phone with a pink care I believe thats all I can think of that will show who Im talking about) she helped a lot and was cool as ever. I like there place and its close by

I think I was taken back around 20 minutes after my appointment time. The assistant (Im not sure of her actual title) was very friendly. The doctor was very friendly as well and did not rush me through the exam. All of the employees I encountered seemed genuinely nice. My appointment was for 1p, and I was there 12:45p-2:30p for an eye exam and to pick out glasses. I wish the office hours were a bit more accommodating, but I would recommend them.

I am in my mid 30s and had my first eye exam this year when I went to see Dr. Carlson. I was nervous about having foreign objects near my eyes (that is something that makes me very uncomfortable); however, Dr. Carlson helped me feel comfortable with the process and more informed about taking care of my eyes. Fortunately I have great vision and hopefully I will not need to have another eye exam for another 30 years.

Made a appointment that they scheduled during their walk in hrs so the place was PACKED,exam took a hr and a half to get through and wasnt even done by the doctor..I had to leave before getting glasses because everything was taking way to long, so i went back 2weeks later just to pick out some glasses and 30mins after signing in and not being helped I walked out. I wont return for a third time..
