The doctor that did the procedure never even introduced himself to me before beginning. Got lasik done here on both eyes and I felt everything!! One of the most horrible experiences Ive ever had. The excruciating pain left me in shock until I had gotten home that evening. BEWARE! MALPRACTICE IS A HUGE LAWSUIT! Do not go here! My eyes were not numb when they started the procedure, nor were they at the end. Terrible place of business. When I asked for a refund, the doctor refused. He basically laughed at me. How embarrassing to be talking as Im getting laughed at, by the doctor himself. I left feeling taken advantage of and sad that I had to experience this. I also read the review below mine and saw that the patient got his procedure free of charge. Yet Bloomberg refused to reimburse me for the physical and emotional pain that Bloomberg had inflicted uptown me. My eyes were certainly not numb, as they should have been. The nurses told me I would only feel "pressure" and "discomfort".. LIES!! I felt pain off the charts the entire time! And I couldnt move or talk because you are instructed to "remain still."

6/3/16 I would like to update my original review. The Center did get back with me and agreed to do my exam at no charge. They did find that my vision had worsened and completed the Enhancement today under my warranty. I would suggest that you speak with one of the doctors or management staff if you have any issues so that they can be taken care of without going to the extremes of posting bad reviews. Steer clear unless you want to pay again and again. I purchased the warranty and asked if there would be any other charges if I needed to come back and was told no. Now that I think I need to have my eyes looked and possibly adjusted they tell me I have to pay $140+ for the exam. If your surgery is failing before a year is up why am I having to pay for you to do a follow up. If I had known that I would have to pay for the exams I would not have purchased the warranty. Now I hear, "Well if you had read the contract", I asked the questions to a person who should have said then, "Your exams are not covered".

Best money I ever spent! I had Lasik with Bloomberg in 2003. It worked really well and was fairly uneventful. I purchased the lifetime revision protection. I had great vision for about 10-11 years. My distance vision starting slipping after that. Not a lot but enough that I had trouble reading road signs and functioning at work had become more difficult. I called Bloomberg Eye Center to see if they could touch up my eyes, fully expecting to pay for services rendered because I hadnt had an eye exam since my original correction in 2003. I was floored when the voice on the other end of the phone said that if I had purchased the lifetime revision protection my procedure would be free. I explained that I hadnt come back for any exams and she said,"Thats ok, well just go get your file from the basement!" I had prk on my right eye two weeks ago, and my vision is wonderful again. These people couldnt be friendlier, more caring, or more qualified!

I HESITATE TO GIVE THEM 5 STARS. I WAS TOLD ON MY INITIAL VISIT ONE PRICE..THEN TODAY I GO AND ITS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. IF THEY DONT MAKE IT RIGHT, ILL FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR TO GO TOO. DONT LIE TO ME AND EXPECT ME TO BE FINE WITH IT. EITHER YOU PEOPLE MAKE IT RIGHT. SO WRONG IN EVERY WAY AND YOU PEOPLE KNOW IT. Approaching two years since having my LASIK procedure. My vision is worse than ever! Not only can I not see distance or while driving at night but my eyes are typically cloudy and my left eye feels like it has something in it about half the time. I addressed this with the physician at the Columbus office at the 3 month mark and also at 6 months. His answer to me continued to be that it can take up to a year for my eyes to heal and vision to correct itself. I have never heard anything like this from anyone I know who has undergone LASIK. Unfortunately, I now live out of state. When I called the office to complain, their only solution was for me to fly to Columbus to get another appointment with the doctor. Not only am I out almost $4000 but my quality of life is worse than ever. I would not recommend Bloomberg eye center to anyone!

I chose the Bloomberg Eye Center because a friend of mine had her lasik surgery done ten years ago and has perfect vision. My free consultation was very thorough, addressed all my questions and concerns and the staff was really friendly. We scheduled my surgery and I was very impressed with the experience of having the surgery. I had the custom iLasik which is bladeless lasik surgery. The surgery went extremely well, the surgeon was kind and explained everything that was happening and an assistant held my hand during the whole surgery. Im thrilled that I went to Bloomberg Eye Center and I highly recommend them. They are not a "drive-thru" type lasik surgery center. They treat you like an individual and they care about your experience. Plus, they had the best success rate of any lasik surgery center.

Great Facility, staff and Doctors!! I had lasik surgery a few months ago and couldnt be happier. Everything went so well that I wish I would have done this years ago. If you want professionals who go out of their way to make your experience comfortable, and provide you with the best care, you should go to Bloomberg Eye Center. I had 20/20 vision at my post op the following day. My vision is so much better than what I had with contact lens and glasses.

I had a PRK procedure at Bloomberg. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and Dr Shahinfar. My vision is excellent. I should have had this done years ago. Goodbye readers!!! Wont need to look for reading glasses anymore!!
