Dr. Cronen, along with his P.A. and his full medical staff made this process the best imaginable. I had been experiencing varying levels of pain since 1982 at which time I had broken off a portion of the spinal process on L-5 - at that time I was given a prognosis of surgical repair was 50% X 50% spinal paralysis from the waist down! So I did some strengthening exercises and continued through life until I could deal with the pain no longer. I did go see Dr. Cronen and ALL of his professional medical staff. After a short review of the X-Ray ; even to untrained eyes, being able to see the deficiencies, Dr. Cronen explained to me my options and told me he could take care of things. Take care of things he did, the next morning after surgery I was up walking around and most excitingly experiencing very minimal or NO NERVE PAIN!!! After 35 years of dealing with lower back nerve pain and now I realized the only thing left was some soft tissue recovery and Id be like a new man. Now a little over a month later and I am up to 2 miles on my elliptical at a very quick pace. Dr. Cronen, along with his P.A. and his full medical staff made this process the best imaginable.

Terrible doctor! Run! Hes rude and arrogant and his bedside manner is cold and uncaring. He spoke to me as if I were stupid and he was completely unconcerned about my pain. Told me I should see a different specialist because my pain had nothing to do with the bulging and herniated discs nor the bone spurs on my spine. Ive seen three different specialists and I was referred to him by a fellow Florida Medical Clinic physician. I waited over 2 hours to see him, paid my $50 copay, my husband took off work to be with me in this important appointment....and we left feeling insulted, belittled, angry and hopeless. Dont let the whole "Tampa Bay Lightning" surgeon written everywhere fool you. He is an awful practitioner without any manners. I wouldnt recommend him to my enemy. Oh yeah..one last thing. Our daughter had scoliosis correction with spinal fusion in 2015. Excellent surgeon (Dr. Okafor) and superb results. During my appointment, Dr. Cronen stated that scoliosis is not a painful condition and that our surgeon was not as good as he was. What a professional! Run!!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Cronen and his staff. I have Scoliosis and spinal fusion from my surgery in 1994. Ive been having a lot of increased pain since the birth of my daughter. Dr Cronen spent 45 minutes with me discussing my options for dealing with my spine issues from physical therapy to more surgery. He didnt pressure me with anything. His bedside manner was excellent. Yes, he is very serious, but that doesnt bother me. I found him to be extremely caring. He listened to all of my concerns and addressed everything I said. I have been to a lot of horrible doctors that dont listen and belittle my pain and concerns. Dr Cronen is not that kind of doctor. He presented me with a plan of action for my pain and Im very grateful to have these options for a solution.

Dr. Cronen is an exceptional Surgeon. My 16 year old son has scoliosis, and after a thorough eval from Dr. Cronen, the course of action recommended was spinal fusion. After reading reviews, most of the negatives were people who seemed to care more about bedside manner and whether they should smoke or not vs. a skilled surgeon... Note that the perception of bedside manner is an opinion - and my experience was a positive one. His skills as a surgeon are proven and factual, and to me, thats the most important part. I found him to be outstanding in all areas, most importantly - a skilled, knowledgeable, compassionate surgeon who wants nothing more than to see my son healthy. He and all of his staff have been nothing but professional and courteous. I highly recommend Dr. Cronen.

The staff acts as if they are doing you, the patient, a favor for doing their job! My third visit they treated me like a brand new patient, filling out new patient forms and the like... then forty mins into it the girl says"oh, youve been here before". Um.... keeping great records and really communicating. Im not just picking on them, Ive had four visits and its the same terrible service every time. I wouldnt recommend Dr. Cronen or Florida Medical Clinic to anyone. Im extremely relaxed and polite, so it takes quite a bit to get me to leave a comment on someone. Hes also voting for Trump and told me I should do the same.... Im seeking medical advice not terrible political advice.

Misdiagnosed my bulging discs and was confused on why I was feeling excruciating pain. I went to 3 different doctors. All agreed I had a bulging disc causing me excruciating pain. Hes got terrible bedside manners. Hes rude. His office also released my medical files without any authorization from me. The front office manager did contact me and apologized for their irresponsible mistake. Regardless, the harm was already done. So much for HIPPA regulations. Do not get fooled by his nice resume, perhaps he was a fantastic doctor in earlier years, as of now I would recommend you see someone else.

Not only was Dr. Cronen highly recommended, one of the nations foremost scoliosis surgeons referred us to him as he had trained Dr. C. Caring, down to earth, brilliant, Dr. Cronen performed our then 14-yr-old sons scoliosis surgery. We cant recommend him highly enough & are incredibly thankful for his expertise & guidance. To this day, we can contact him by cell in the rare event there is an issue, & he is always there. Cant imagine any better outcome to surgery than seeing ones son being able to actively pursue his dreams because of an extremely positive surgical outcome.

This Dr. came highly recommended. I am on disability for a spine and disc injury. Drove 45 minutes to his office. 3 hours later, sitting in my bra and paper underpants, still not seen by the Surgeon or his assistant. Got dressed to leave, and asked for my MRI disc back. They searched and never found it. Then had the nerve to say I never brought it in the first place. Of course I did. Thats why I was there. Left, told front desk, never returning. Had to send a memo telling them to be sure not to bill my insurance co. for a doctor consult that never transpired.

Microdisectomy to repair a ruptured disc in Aug. 2013. Staff was very professional, Doc listened to me and made me feel I was his only priority, and the appointment never felt rushed. Excellent care, outcome, and service. I also was seen by PA Josh at different times in thee process and felt he was highly competent as well. I would never consider another Doc given my comfort level with Doc Cronen and his staff, to the point that I had his associate Doc Ratterman do my hip resurfacing in March of 2016 with the same level of care.

Worst experience here. Everyone, I guess hate their job there cause they work with a face and dont ask a question cause you will make it worst . Plus when comes with workers comp insurance, he wont see you again even know you have another doc refer to him with a surgery diagnostic. I just cant believe they still in this business.
