Dr Shawn was treating my daughter after a car accident she had un-seatbelted with her mother. I was awarded full legal custody after the mother was determined by the court to be psychologically unstable and a threat of homicide or harm to my daughter. Dr. Shawn was of course informed of this during our initial visits and he was instructed not to communicate any information with the mother. After taking my daughter to him for about 10 months, I was informed that he was initiating contact with my ex-wife after each visit and informing her about our appearance, who we were with and other personal details as well as revealing HIPPA confidential medical information to my ex-wife. They may have been involved with each other at some point. When confronted he admitted he was doing so. I feel his conduct was both unprofessional and illegal. I may file a formal complaint. I was very disappointed by his actions and my daughter was forced to go through the trauma of changing doctors. When I requested my daughters records by email for the new Doctor, I was informed that they would be forthcoming. He never sent them. I had to get copies from the insurance company which caused a delay in treatment for my daughter. A classic example that you cant judge a book by its cover.

I recently had an attack of sciatica. It was very painful, so I went to the hospital ER. They diagnosed my sciatica, but all they could offer were habit-forming narcotics for the pain, and patience. They told me the sciatica pain would last for 3 or 4 days. They were wrong. I saw Dr. John Huy and he immediately began handling the cause of the pain. Within 4 days, I was no longer taking the narcotic pain reliever and was able to take Ibuprofen for the pain. In another 3 days, I needed no pain relievers at all. I still have some residual and annoying effects of the sciatica, but Dr. Huy is creating continual improvement. If you suffer from sciatica, dont waste your time or money seeing an MD. Get effective treatment right away from Tarpon Total Health Care.

As a new patient at TTHC who has 50 years of "practice" at being served by chiropractors, Im pleased to say, thus far after three visits, this is a first class caring, professional and effective health care unit. From receptionist to doctor and all stops in between, this has been an excellent experience. Dr. Hanson is high energy with great technique and manner. Thorough/complete comes to mind. Starting each visit with stem and heat makes for greater relaxation and manipulated release. Leaving to go North was made more difficult with TTHC left behind.

I met John earlier this year with a bulging disk, I thought I was definitely a surgery case. But after visiting John on a scheduled basis, I can honestly say that my disk is no longer bulging. After doing the exercising and having the treatments my pain levels went from a 9 down to zero. I also fractured my ankle and with his laser treatment I was healed in no time. He has all the equipment that is needed, I highly recommend his practice.
