I have sun damage to my lips resulting in a precancerous condition. Dr. Wilentz prescribed Fluorouracil Topical Cream USP, 5%. His instructions were to use it once or twice daily for two weeks, and if it was too painful, to make another appointment. That was all the instruction he gave me. In reading the Prescription Facts included with the medication, I found that the area needs to be washed and let dry for 10 minutes before applying the ointment. After applying, wash hands thoroughly, even ‘if wearing rubber gloves to apply’. I also called FDA and was advised that Fluorouracil is not on its approved list, and I was advised that the FDA says NOT TO USE IT NEAR EYES, NOSTRILS OR MOUTH. I think he prescribed though knowing little or nothing about the product, and had I used it, it would have caused damage to my lips and mouth.

Just called several times for an appointment. Someone picked up the phone and hung it up, I called back, then a fax machine came on. I then called and again, someone picked up the phone and quickly hung up. What on earth is going on at this place!!!!
