The first thing I have to say about Bells Ferry Veterinary Hospital is that the actual Veterinarians are TOP NOTCH!! They are friendly, caring and knowledgeable. We especially like Dr. Riddle; shes awesome! So why the 3-star rating? Well, even though the vets are great, there are definitely negatives. The staff there has definitely been "hit or miss"....sometimes they are super friendly...sometimes not so much. Its all depended on the day I was there. On one particular visit, one of the staff was actually kind of rude; my wife said that she actually felt a little offended. But again, there have been other times where they have been really nice and cheerful! Lastly, (and the main reason for the lower review score) is because of their pricing. While their charges for the actual visit is on par with other places, I found that their pricing on medications are way over-inflated compared to other places around! After my dogs last visit, his bill was around $160 (including services rendered and medications). I found that I would have paid about $25-$30 less if I had taken him somewhere else, primarily due to the high markup on the medications! One medication in particular had about a 125% markup compared to other places. Crazy! I found the same thing when comparing pricing for his yearly shots. So to sum everything up, I definitely dont want anyone reading this to think that Im not recommending their services. The veterinarians are amazing (and thats the whole point of going to the vet; to have your animal checked out by a professional!), but if you go there, be prepared to pay more money that elsewhere, due to the high pricing of medications/shots/etc. I give them 3 1/2 stars overall.

This is a great Vet. My cat Tigger was 17 years old we came home one day and she was sitting by the front door and could not stand on her rear legs. We took her to an Emergency Vet in the area it was about 6:30 when we got home. The vet said she was having kidney failure and gave her fluids and sent her home. She didnt get any better the next day so we made an appointment at Bells Ferry Veterinary Hospital. We took her in and the doctor took a look at her and said she had a stroke and wasnt going to recover. She explained our options one of which was a long expensive care plan and the other was put her to sleep. Of course I didnt want the cat that my sons grew up with to suffer so we all decided it was best to let her go to heaven. The team was very compassionate and understanding of our feelings. They even ask us how we wanted her body to lie. It was a very good experience under the circumstances. The even sent us forget me not flower seeds to grown and keep as a constant reminder of how much we loved Tigger. Now we have two new cats and they have cared for both of them and have done a wonderful job helping us grow our homeless kitties into awesome healthy cats.

This was my first time visiting Bells Ferry Animal Hospital. I chose to go to this Vet Clinic for a number of reasons. One was the fact that the veterinarian I was using moved from a different location to this location and my dog has always known her, and I did not feel comfortable with going back to my old Vet Clinic to let a different Veterinarian look at her and take good care of her. Another reason, the clinic is very close to my home. The only thing that I would change is the fact that I would have liked to have had my dog while she was getting her immunizations as well as the doctor looking at her in general and listening to her heart. When they took her back to get the mats out of her hair, they did everything back there, so I did not get a chance to comfort my dog while she got her shots or while the Vet was looking her over. My dog is very hyper, to say the least, and I just wanted to be there and comfort her if she needed me.

I have been taking my cats; Angel and Arioch to this vet office since 2004 and they are awesome! The staff is really friendly and they always remember me and my cats names when we come in for an appointment. Arioch recently had his teeth cleaned and he also had to have a couple of infected teeth pulled. I had not noticed the bad teeth, but was concerned because he was not eating as much. By the next day he was back to normal and eating like his old self. The office called the next day just to check up on him. These folks really love animals!! I highly recommend them!! 3/1/2017 I just wanted to say again how much I love this place. I recently adopted a new puppy and they have taken such great care of her so far. My little pup gets so excited when she gets there.......the runs in and hangs out with the clinic dog Nike. As I said before; I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

I have been going to Bells Ferry Veterinary Hospital for over 15 years. Over the last few years I have noticed that they try to sell me every new product that hits the Pet market at exorbitant prices.Today was the last straw though. I took my pet in because a nail was bent back to the quick, but had not yet fallen off. I almost fell over when I got the bill for $82.00. The nail was trimmed back to the quick (no local was given nor was one necessary) they bandaged the foot which was not necessary and tried to sell me several different products all of which are "necessary " for the health of your pet: 16 oz of pet mouth wash to be added to the drinking water for $23.00. Do you need any more Weight Management" dog food (Jenny Craig for pets). This place has become a sales organization. I will find another vet. And NO I do not want pet health insurance!

Do not go to this vet if you want your pet messed up. My puppy broke her leg and when to this veterinarian for advice after going to the emergency Veterinary. They waited to long to send me to a specialty. They have surgery services, but it was 4 pm there was nothing they can do. They wanted to go home. Even though they are the ones who said the splint would be fine. Now my puppies leg bone is displace. Then the Co-owner lie to me about what was on the emergency Veterinary report and what we asked when we came in on the first visit. Mrs. Robbin Temple (she is not a Doctor in my eyes) Wanted to go home instead of fixing my puppy and the bandage she put on Friday is now coming off my Saturday. This puppy had bandages on from the Emergency Veterinary that stay on for a week and half.

This is a horrible VET!!!! Please do not take your animals there. They do not care about the animal, only money!!!! I went there for years and I truly feel they killed my 5 year old Shitzu. They were so RUDE about payment.... I didnt have the $800 dollars to pay right then and asked if I could post date a check for Friday (it was WEdnesday) and they said no!!!! Keep in mind, I had been going there for 7 years. She was diagnosed with Pancreatis and when I picked her up the next day she could not walk and had a ruptured disk in her neck.... ...... I took her to another vet in BridgeMill which was amazing and she had to have emergency surgery from a specialist... Died after surgery... $6000.00 later I had no DOG... She was my BABY.... I would NEVER recommend this VET!!!!!!!
