I decided to take my 2 huskies to Crabapple Knoll when I moved to the area mainly due to convenience for boarding. I use to hate having to pay an extra day of boarding because my old vet was closed on satudrays or Sundays. Not here! This vet and boarding facility is open Saturdays & Sundays!! Services here might be marginally higher than other vets in the area, but I implore you to look past that and remember the saying “you get what you pay for.” My dogs have never been really been sick aside from the occasional ear infection. Recently my dog was diagnosed with a brain disease that required a neurologist. Crabapple Knoll made the referral process seamless, then stayed in contact over the next months to receive updates and provide the medication for my girl so I would not have to drive too far. Several months later that same girl ate several socks around 8:30 pm. Luckily, Crabapple Knoll stays open until 9pm on week nights, and was willing to take a look at her. After her initial eval, Dr. Ashley advised GI surgery was required. I assumed I would have to take her to GVS because it was 9:30 at that point. No, Dr. Ashley offered to not only stay and do the surgery, but also transported her to the local emergency vet for overnight care at 1:45 am. This isn’t the only time Dr. Ashley has gone above and beyond. During the healing process, the staff was very friendly and understanding. Willing to take my calls and update me on her status at all hours. Over the next week, they allowed me to come in and sit in the back with my girl for an 1hr+ while they cleaned/closed up. They often stayed open late as to not turn away an emergency. They truly care about each animal that comes in, and treats them as if they were their own. My Bella ended up passing away due to complications from the brain infection. The service and the care that everyone there provided was astounding, and gave me so much comfort in how well my girl was cared for in her last weeks. Dr. Ashley was an integral part of that. They even sent flowers to my house the next day. I cant recommend Crabapple Knoll enough. Their expertise and care is surpassed by none.

My wife and I built our retirement home in what is now Milton Ga in 2000. We moved in bringing our 12-year old Shih Tzu named Muffin with us. Muffin had begun to have various ills typical of the elderly when we took her to Crabapple Knoll Veterinary Clinic and introduced her to Dr. Gaston and Clinic family. She got to know Morgan, Linda and the rest of the nurses and technicians at the clinic, where she became part of this loving and caring group over the next three years. She passed away three years later, having received the best expert medical advice and treatments available to veterinary professionals. More than that she grew to trust and love all the staff at Crabapple Knoll, and left this world peacefully with my wife and I and a clinic nurse alternately stroking and talking to her. Since that time we adopted two Shih Tzu sisters from Small Dog Rescue, that Crabapple monitored in illnesses and health until there passing in old age. My wife passed away shortly before that and I adopted a mixed breed Australian Shepard/Bernese Mountain dog. We loved each other for a year and a half until she developed an intestinal tumor which the doctors at Crabapple discovered after surgery was too involved to save her. Once again the staff at the clinic helped me through the terribly difficult process of saying goodbye to her. I now have a beautiful five-month old Cavalier King Charles spaniel, where at Crabapple Knoll all his records have been documented and I am notified in advance when he should be brought in for heartworm, flee and tick and other medications when necessary. I have no concerns that Clancy will grow up to be a healthy and happy companion for me, in a large part because I know the staff at Crabapple Knoll is keeping track of his well being.

I took my dog to Crabapple knoll to have his tail removed as the recommended it be done. They requested he remain there over night for observation afterward and I agreed. I assumed that he would be just that "observed". What they fail to tell you is that everyone goes home at 8:30 pm and there is nobody observing your pet again until they reopen the next morning. At sometime during the night my best friend died. While in there care. I was blown away when I received a bill for nearly $1000 a month later for a surgery that ultimatly took his life. I dropped off a happy, healthy dog and received a can of ashes and a bill back a week later. I called and spoke with the owner of the clinic and not only was he rude but he never once apologized for what took place under his care. His only concern was for his money. I have sent two letters requesting that the bill be considered paid and another requesting a copy of there malpractice insurance and all have been ignored. They are now sending me bills monthly with a late payment fee attached. Stay away from this place, they are not doing this for a love for animals, its clearly for a love of money.

I have not had the best experience with Crabapple Knoll. Although they appear to have a caring staff & convenient hours, I do think there primary goal is to make as much money as possible off of you. The "doctors" use google as a diagnosis tool in front of clients to make matters worse, which to means that some of the lack experience. I also boarded my dog there & they found several things that they wanted to "treat." They make you feel terrible if you opt for other treatment options. (I have been trying treatments for this one particular pet for years to no avail.) Ended up having them treat my dog while on vacation out of pure guilt, & she came home in way worse condition that I have ever seen in all the years I have had her. I think they should take more time & listen to pet owners & take the time to learn about the pets medical history. I am confident I will not return to CKV. Recommend asking for second opinions and questioning all treatments.

We started using Crabapple Knoll for our elderly boxer, Eli. They were very good with him, even when he was testy and difficult. When we had to put Eli down due to sudden complications from cancer, they were so supportive and understanding, doing everything possible to keep Eli calm and comfortable. They let me sit with him for hours waiting until it was late enough in the day for the kids to get a chance to come and say good bye. All the reception staff, technicians and veterinarians went out of their way to show compassion and understanding. Since then my sister-in-law and I have brought our kids to volunteer in the very active adoption program run by the clinic. Everyone on staff seems to genuinely love animals and go the extra mile to make sure every animal that comes there gets the best, most comforting care!

I have never met a more caring group of people. They wanted to help my best friend when others just wanted money. My buddy is home tonight after major surgery and is resting in bed as I speak. Hopefully he will be back to his loving self in a few days. As for everyone there at crabapple if you ever need anything and I am able to help please call me . I am in your debt more than you will ever know. Dr. Joe thank you from the deepest place in my heart .Your concern for my best buddy was the most gracious thing anyone has ever done for me. I will be in your debt forever. To his daughter that assisted I feel the same way . To all at the clinic although Im old and not really nimble anymore I am here if you ever need me.
