Wow! What a great experience I have had with Dr. Kinney and his staff. I have a Doberman that has always been active, to say the least. Age and constant wear and tear caused damage to both back legs creating so much pain for my girl, Amy. I was referred to Dr. Kinney by my regular vet and could not be happier that his practice is the one I chose. I was seen the day my vet referred me and Dr. Kinney spent so much time going over all our options and answering my questions that I felt really confident Amy would do well. I did shop around for price comparisons and couldnt believe the different variations I was given. Some other big time referral practices were quoting hundreds to thousands of dollars difference for the same procedure. It showed me the mark up and how one really needs to be aware of what your dollars are going toward. I like the home like environment of the practice and Dr. Kinneys staff. We opted for a TPLO surgical procedure. I was apprehensive as I have had a back fusion that did not fuse and had to have it repeated. Knowing this to be an obvious complication I feared it would also happen to Amy. There was nothing done wrong for me, I was just too active with a two and four year old and the bones did not heal. Knowing how active Amy was I figured we were in for a long haul. She tolerated the surgery well and I was allowed to see her before she was even fully out of the recovery phase of her procedure. I was so impressed with the knowledge of the staff as well. There were two in the back with Amy and they answered all my questions no matter how many times I asked them; they had another patient that required quite a bit of attention and I found out that when one was this sick the staff stayed throughout the night with them and Dr. Kinney also stayed to give support and be ready to take over at the first sign of trouble. I knew Amy was in good hands! She was able to come home the next day and then the real work began because she was so active. She tore off her e-collar and immediately then chewed out her staples. Dr. Kinney was patient and offered to keep her at no extra charge if we couldnt manage the home care. After having her put back together I decided to try it again. Each time I went in I got to know the staff better and better and realized their confidence in their knowledge gave me the encouragement to try again and harder. She progressed well then had physical therapy in the hydro tank right there in the office. She loved going; I never had to drag or force her as she would get so excited to see everyone we were afraid she would hurt herself again. In a few months she will have the other leg repaired. Dr. Kinney has given us a chance to once again enjoy our life with our precious Amy as we watch her thrive. Highly recommend!

Fantastic veterinarians, wonderful people! North Georgia Veterinary Practice went above and beyond to help care for a rescue boxer with a gunshot wound that had been released from a distant shelter that day. They opened their doors to us late one Sunday night to take him in as soon as we could get him back to Atlanta. Their quick action, vast knowledge, and compassionate care had this sweet boy back on his feet in no time without suffering longer term neurological damage! They also performed a flawless TPLO on a second boxer and due to their skill and the thoroughness of care, she is now happily running along with all her dog friends and leading a great Boxer life!! Cannot recommend NGVRP enough!!

I cannot thank Dr Kinney, his wife and Tammy enough for the outstanding support and veterinarian services provided for my dog. She needed and received double TPLO surgery and shes back to walking, jumping, running when she can. Its been a great recovery and I couldnt be happier. I highly recommend Dr Kinney to anyone! They are reasonable in price to.

My animal had surgery in 2016 and this practice offered VetBilling, a program that offers a payment plan, which was a life-saver. The doctor is knowledgeable and did a good job with repairing my pets injury. I was only unhappy with the customer service a month after the surgery. Very busy location. Hope this helps.

Dr. Kinney and his staff are wonderful. Very laid back environment and all treated both myself and my cat with kindness. I highly recommend them if you need a procedure done (ultrasound in my boys case) that your regular veterinarian most likely does not have access to.
