If you would like to be scammed at every turn, then by all means this is the veterinary clinic for you. We took our dog in for a heartworm test, (which they up-charged with a fecal test that was unnecessary) to be able to fill our pet meds prescription. Our dog was already on a year supply of heartworm prevention, but we had to pay $100 to find out not-so-surprisingly that he still does not have heartworms. I had already reordered the medicine from 1-800-pet-meds before going in to the vet. We asked them to fill out the prescription and send it to pet meds. They refused. So I had to mail in the prescription and wait another week for my dogs medicine. A week later Pet Meds calls and says the vet filled the prescription for only 6 months, not the 12 months I had already ordered, and then also wrote the prescription for the most expensive version of this medicine. So pet meds was going to fill what the vet prescribed. I asked them to put it on hold. I called the vet and asked them to call pet meds and agree that the 12 month (lower cost) version would be fine, and they refused again because they do not do business with pet meds but this is after they had just gotten off the phone with pet meds. So I then had to go pick up a SECOND prescription from the office because they refuse to make a 2 minute phone call to pet meds, and then mail it again to pet meds. This endeavor for my dogs medicine turned into a month long process that should have been a simple phone call from this vet the same day my dog was proven to be heartworm free.

My cat Bagheera was very very sick when I took him to Paces Ferry Vet Clinic. He had never been there before, and I am somewhat new to the area. I usually go to someone by word of mouth, but he was very ill, needing help ASAP. The clinic is only .2 miles away from my house so I called and went in the same day. The clinic is beautiful, very clean, and professional looking. The waiting area is very open, with benches to sit on, although I really didnt have to wait. I took him back and they treated him with great care, and took care of him, loving on him just as if they were theirs. This is a clinic that I can really tell has your pets as well as your best interest in great hands. Dr. Marguriet was very sweet and professional. I would gladly send anyone her way. When my cat got more sick the next day she traded out the meds for injections and didnt charge me for the trade since his body couldnt handle them. After bringing him home the second time, she called the next day to ask how he was doing. The staff was equally sweet, polite, and professional. They already knew me and my little man by name on the second visit. Now good and back to his spunky self, we will be going back soon for his check up. I even got a personal letter in the mail from Dr.Marguriet thanking me for bringing him in. Thank you for making him better :-)

I cannot say enough good things about Paces Ferry Vet Clinic! My first time using them I called to make an appointment and they fit me in the day of. Upon arrival, they pretty much immediately took me back and everyone was extremely friendly to my two dogs and me. I have one dog that is very scared of strangers, and they were patient and caring with him. I am a very nervous parent and had a million questions about vaccines and heartworm/flea medications. I did not feel rushed at all. They answered every question and were really helpful and knowledgeable on the issues. My second visit came when my dog, Dexter, had an allergic reaction that resulted in hives and swelling. I called PFVC in a panicked state. They told me to bring him in, and again, immediately took me back to see a vet. The vet, Dr. Beer, took such good care of Dexter. I was already extremely impressed with this clinic, but then a few days after my scare with Dexter, Dr. Beer personally called me to check up on how Dexter was doing. I was blown away! PFVC genuinely cares about the animals they see. Basically what I am trying to say is that as long as I live in Atlanta, this will be where I take my dogs. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I took my 3 week old kitten in for a checkup with Dr. Beer last Tuesday. Less than a week later my kitten is dead. I think she died of dehydration from diarrhea and infection. Dr. Beer didnt educate me about warning signs or abnormal stool. I even voiced concerns about her stool and bowel habits and she never addressed it. I should have asked more questions but Dr. Beer should have also asked more diagnostic questions. Especially for a such a young motherless bottle fed kitten. They go downhill so fast and mortality rates are high. They didnt check her temperature or her capillary refill. They didnt do a thorough examination. Sunday night she was eating and crawling around and early Monday morning she died on the way to the emergency vet. I think her death was completely avoidable had we treated her diarrhea early or if we had started her on antibiotics. Apparently antibodies from the mothers colostrum start to wane between 3 and 4 weeks of age so it is very common for kittens to die from bacterial infection. I wish I had done more research at the time but it is difficult finding the right information for a kitten so young.

Absolutely amazing!!! Like many others, my Yorkie Marley is considered my child and is dear to my heart. New to Atlanta, one of the many things I needed to do was find a Vet for her. As many other pet owners know it can be very stressful and annoying trying to find the perfect/ trustworthy Vet (and groomer ha-ha). First and foremost, I was definitely shocked at costs in Atlanta. Luckily I found Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic. The staff is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE and GENUINELY CARES! They are 100% organized which put me at ease. & their prices were much better compared to others. Marley got very sick and they were able to work with me and find alternatives because the costs began to add up with everything she needed. They dont just see you or your pet as customers/money, again they care & it shows! Ive moved since first going there, about 45 mins away, but I still take Marley there because its 100% worth it! Also, check out their site! -- It was great getting to know the staff beforehand.

My experience with Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic has been beyond outstanding. They are truly caring people who do far more than simply "treat" the non-human members of the family (though of course they do that clinical side very well). They care for the people, too, and understand just how much our pets do mean to us. I cant say enough about their outstanding sensitivity, personal approach, and overall careful diligence with both the "routine" side of care for my pets and the "complicated" care situation thats occurring with one of the furry creatures (Romeo the cat) whos shared my life for many years. This is a well-run business, too, with a great team of people all the way around. I appreciate every one of them for their contributions to pet well-being, but would like to give an extra special shout-out to Dr. Whittle -- not just a great vet but also an extraordinary person overall. I highly recommend this clinic!
