I never knew I was claustrophobic until I attempted to complete a MRI exam....twice!!! The first time was a classic fail after about 10 minutes and the second time was a super fail after about 2 minutes while on anxiety medication...lol...I just couldnt handle having the top of that machine 3 inches from my face. I couldnt breathe, I couldnt fan, and it felt like I was in a coffin. I knew there had to be a better way, so I started scouring the internet looking for another option and thank GOD, I came across Medica Stand-Up MRI. The staff was very understanding and patient and if I ever need another MRI, I will definitely be calling them first.

I am claustrophobic and in my life time I have done 3 MRI s. The one I did at stand up MRi was the easiest. The technician was so understanding. She did everything she could to make me comoforable. I rang the bell serval times and asked her when it was going to end but she was very patient. I now realize that not only am I claustrophobic but I cant sit still for very long. I just want to say thank you to these people. I would have had to get meds and a driver if I had to do a traditional MRI. I also wanted mention that the appointment and insurance was easy to do. Plus they were cheaper than Wellstar. Best MRI ever!

I am EXTREMELY claustrophobic, to put it mildly. The staff at Medica Stand-Up MRI are very understanding regarding my fears & they catered to my needs. I have never felt so welcomed! The technologist did everything she could to help me to relax. She was so patient & wonderful. I have been there twice, having my neck/back & shoulder scanned. I traveled over 60 miles just to go to Medica Stand-Up MRI & I will go back there for every MRI from here forward. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MEDICA STAND-UP MRI!! And if you are claustrophobic, the scans are a breeze...at least the ones I have had. :)

had a scary experience a couple weeks prior using an "open mri" and coming here was a bit daunting but i did it! the lady was SUPER helpful and very down to earth. she put on "trolls" for me to keep my mind occupied and even watching it without glasses, i was not scared. the sounds of the machine were a bit louder than expected, sounded like a techno dj in a club LOL so if you can handle that for about a half hour, youll be fine! thumbs up!! the little fan blowing helped alot!

I had a great experience at my recent stand up MRI. I am very claustrophobic and tried to do the standard MRI with no success. This stand up MRI was soooo much easier and I felt no fear at all. I had a brain scan and the cover around your face is similar to a football helmet and is not binding at all. Janine was my tech and she was awesome! I felt so stress free after. Thank you all so much!

I have been there a few different times and every visit I am reminded of how exceptional, professional and just down to earth and genuine their staff is. I would highly recommend Medica Stand-Up MRI to anyone. You truly feel comfortable and at easy the entire visit. Their team is a wonderful group of professionals and people.

The technician was awesome. So sweet and professional. Gave me my "panic" button if needed, turned on tv, game me pillows for comfort. It was perfect. The staff were equally as accommodating. Definitely will go back when needed. Not claustrophobic at all.

I am severally claustrophobic & i would highly recommend the stand up mri if you are claustrophobic the whole experience was nice the staff was great and patient if i ever need another mri done i would go back

I cannot agree with all others positive comments about the female technician. She explained each step before she did which took away my anxiety with claustrophobia. The small fan helps a lot.
