I was a patient of Fountain Oaks for about 3 years while I lived in Atlanta. It seemed to me that the goal here was not to provide the best dentistry services possible, but instead run the most profitable business, regardless of how it affected patients. It took a few visits to form this opinion, but after a while I felt that they were basically peformring and/or recommending unnecessary procedures to maximize the return from my insurance company. They always recommended a "deep cleaning" (another dentist told me that this was really unnecessary for me), getting full sets of X-rays every year, getting my teeth cleaned 3 times per year, getting teeth whitening, etc. Last time I was in, they suggested a cancer screeing. I am in my early 30s and have never used tobacco products. The hygenist proceeded to tell me that I could die from it if I did not detect it early. Please, save it for someone who is in a risk category. I could die from lung cancer too, but that doesnt mean I need to get tested for it. Of course, this was accompanied by a full on explanation of how terrible my teeth looked and why I needed it at every visit. I wonder if these hygenists get commission on their "sales". Prior to going to this dentist I had about 3-4 cavities in my life. Somehow in 3 years here, I had like 8 cavities needing fillings. One time I went in and was told I needed 6 fillings. I did not schedule the procedure. I went back in for a cleaning 4 months later and was told by a different dentist in their office that I only needed 1 filling. Hmmmm. After I moved out of Atlanta, I requested that they e-mail me my x-rays on 3-4 different occassions so I wouldnt have to pay for them out of pocket at my new dentist. Told me they would do it each time and never did. Thanks for the professional courtesy. Last thing - never had the same dentist twice when I went in. Wonder why they all leave? Id recommend you find somewhere else to go too.

I can not rave enough about this location. Back Story: I lost my filling during a steak dinner with my family. Leaving a small piece of took left on the upper left side along with excruciating pain and an anxiety filled next day. The next day i woke up and chose a dental company in the same shopping plaza i worked in. Have a personal relationship with this dental care facility made me feel as though I was in the right hands. WRONG. I was mortified to learn that the facility added on external and unneeded services in an attempt to obtain as much income as possible. The resulting balance of $3000 after dental insurance. Unable to cover the cost and not understanding the need to all of the extra services I left the office and drove to the closest dental office, which happened to be great expressions. This was a God send I swear. the universe was definitely aligning this day. Dr. Kim literally rebuilt a tooth for me from a stub in my gum. She saved me from having to pull the tooth and was also able to create the perfect cap for two of my teeth. she did not over sell me or suggest services I did not need. Having difficult teeth is hard. I have experienced issues my entire life with needing fillings and crowns and root canals galore. Having a dental professional actual listen to me and truly help create the perfect dental plan for my specific needs has been amazing. I would not suggest anyone else!

Hated my experience here for two reasons: 1. My insurance covers a semi-annual exam and cleaning and this was the first place Ive been to that splits up the two into separate visits which frustratingly knocks the actual cleaning out of coverage and into my pocket. This wasnt explained until after I had already been sitting in the chair for 45 mins waiting for the exam to even start. 2. They told me after the exam that I would need a "deep" cleaning because one of their exams, where they poke your gums at each tooth with a sharp, pointed metal pick, produced a little blood in spots. Of course the deep cleaning was significantly more expensive than a regular cleaning, and of course a little blood showed up when you pricked my gums 50+ times. That was the third time in an eventually worthless two and a half hour appointment that they tried to up the price on my regular cleaning and so I left and will not be going back. I got no cleaning and had my insurance-covered visit waisted and they got the money for it, which is what they were after the whole time. They certainly werent after returning business.

HORRIBLE service, I would never recommend this place, the chairs and the equipment are dirty, you are pressured to purchase wash mouth , toothpaste and other products that you can get somewhere else for less than the half, they basically swindled the insurance, they charged me services that I never received and they did my work incomplete !!
