My fiancé and I drove all the way from dalton because we had been told this was a good hospital with a genuine staff. He has sever back pain due to a major procedure he had some years ago. Some days are much worse than others. The past few days are no exception. He can barely walk I have to help him up and down and dress him. The depression of dealing with this at his age also takes its toll mentally on him. Not to mention the fact that he barely sleeps because the pain keeps him up at night. The NP obviously didnt believe him and thought he was just an other druggie. Gave him a medication used to help addicts and called it a muscle relaxer (I have a background in medicine). We could both tell that they didnt believe him and should have just left then. You could see the disgust on the NP face. The "high dose" shot wore off in 45 mins his pain level is so extreme. And now not only does his back hurt him beyond measure, the injection site is causing him more pain. Didnt even so much as give him even a childs pain reliever. We have been to every hospital imaginable in the past year. You see his pain is not only just muscle pain but bone pain from deterioration. And to see someone care so little and dismiss him as an other addict is absolutely infuriating when I see his pain on a daily basis. I understand there are people out there who do it just because. But not being able to tell a person in obvious pain to such a level is pitiful.

Terrible hospital ! If I could rate it a 0 i would in a heart beat! I came in at 32 weeks pregnant having bad cramps, I had a nurse tell me I was 2cm dialated and she recommended the hospital in dalton, because they wouldnt be able to do anything for my baby because they didnt have a NICU. I gave birth here, very small beds my legs would always fall off, my baby was born with respiratory problems they never noticed after I mentioned it to them millions of times, finally it was time to be discharged, the nurses didnt even bring me a wheel chair I was on the 3rd floor and for some reason, they dont let you use elevators so I had to walk 3 floors down. After that I came for a very bad ear infection I was in the waiting area for 5 hours crying , two people that came in after me got attended before me, Im Hispanic and they are white. A few days late I came with my baby when he was 3 weeks old he had a very bad fever of 106 and they couldnt figure out why. I went to childrens hospital of atl they told me he had meningitis. Currently Im here, Ive been in the waiting area for 2 hours with my 2 Month old baby hes having very bad breathing problems and is constantly chocking on mucus and is crying historically, Ive had three nurses come to me to make me sign things none have asked me whats is wrong with my baby. Leaving on my way to childrens health care of atl!!

Well lets see their suppose to be a godly hospital being seventh day advent and all but if you dont have insurance they really dont have the time. My mother in law God rest her soul went to gordan hospital twice. She didnt have insurance at the time. They sent her home with medicine both times. Although she complained of hurting badly that was the best they could do.My son and daughter in law took her to either I think Redmond or Floyd in Rome. Long story short she hurt because she was eat up with cancer.Gordon didnt have the time to find this out and like I said God rest her soul she has since then passed. Now they come up with something they call hospitalist. These are Doctors who leave their practices and patients on the drop of a dime with a letter in the mail and their office is the hospital. They are so Ive read more of a bedside and family doctor who can stop your Dr from access to your progress and can even get lab results and stop your Dr from from having access to them. I dont no about anyone else but if Im in the hospital Id rather my doctor who knows me have everything to say about my well being then some Dr I dont even no have say so over my health and well being. Anyhow Gordon Hospital is already a not well like hospital and now there just gonna make it worse.

I just want to let it be known that during each of my Moms admissions to Gordon Hospital, the service from the staff has been phenomenal. The nurses are among the best I have ever encountered when providing care for my family. The doctors (whether in the ER or in assigned rooms) are informative, thorough and always willing to go the extra mile to see to medical problems. I appreciate each staff member at the facility for their care and thoroughness over the past years. My Mom has many medical issues and Gordon is the only place she will go simply because she feels safe and truly cared for there. I would recommend the facility to anyone! Great job on everyones part!!! :)

I took my girlfriend over to this hospital Saturday around 2. She was complaining of a bad headache and had a bad ear infection. The doctor didnt seem to care just wanted to dope her up and get her out. He was extremely rude. Hushed her when she was explaining what was wrong. We took the meds they gave and went home. Nothing was working she was doubling the meds so we went to Kennestone. Well they found the problem which was Spinal Meningitis. What would of happened if we listened to Gordon? How many people has the Doctor just dismissed ended up dying? Can we really trust our loved ones health to be cared for at a place like this? I do not recommend this place.

Worest hospital experience i have ever had they have a nice new er and no one os able to do a professional job its so much easier to play on there phones and hold people up saying they have to clean three rooms and making you feel like you the only reason your there is for drugs when that was not the case. I would not recommend this facility to anyone left there and went to Redmond and was taken straight back its ashame that this Christian based hospital has a statue of christ sittimg on a bench whith kids and have know clue how to treat their patients with care and dignity

Each time I have been a patient at the Gordon Memorial Hospital, I have been treated with both care and courtesy. I so appreciate the staff, who treated me as one of their own family members. The food was excellent, and I can say my experience as a patient was the best of any Hospital where I was admitted. I promise to do all I can to continue to make the Gordon Memorial Hospital even stronger in both its care and outreach to this area. I am thankful for each life saving experience and consider Gordon Memorial Hospital as necessary to this area.

Worst hospital, been trying to find out about my cousin for 2 days, left a message with a head nurse, never got one phone call back, this is not ok, I am very worried, she was in Room 2219, and now today she is not there, i dont know what happened, I dont know is she is alive or dead, I have been so worried, Called today and they said she wasnt there, I need someone to call me and let me and my mom know what is going on, I even called the room yesterday and noone answered.
