I took my dog here on December 31, 2014. She was sick for about 3 days, lethargic, bloody diarrhea, and throwing up. We decided to take her to this "animal hospital" we explained to the vet all of her symptoms, they did some blood work, and xrays, they said all she had was an intestine infection and prescribed some antibiotics, and told us not to give the antibiotic to her until the next day and so we did. An hour later after we gave her the antibiotic, she was not breathing. She died. About a month later, trying to cope with my loss, I decided to get another dog. A week after having my new puppy, she was showing the same symptoms, took her to a different vet where they did a test on parvo, she tested positive for parvo. This new dog of mine, was vaccinated before we got her, had papers and everything she was only 6 weeks old. She got parvo from my house, where my other dog died. Wellspring animal hospital should of tested my dog for parvo, but didnt. They should of known the symptoms to parvo, but obviously they are amateurs, and dont know what the hell their doing, excuse my french. I will never be visiting this vet again, and I will not be recommending it to anybody, not even someone I hate. Not to mention, we paid almost $300 for just that one visit, and they refused to give our money back.

I love this vet. They are great people, are amazing with the animals, and generally are great with us humans. I highly recommend them to anyone. However, this is a negative review about one of their receptionists. I was asked to bring my parents dog in for a check up. Admittedly I did not know why he was in so I was not able to answer the questions they were asking. In the middle of the second question the phone rang. After 3 rings the lady helping me turned around, answered the phone, and began to assist the caller leaving me high and dry standing there in front of the counter like one who just saw a baker give your pre ordered cake to some walk in. I will totally be coming back, but I will wait for the blonde behind the counter next time.

I normally go to Sigman veterinary clinic but decided to try wellspring since it is closer to my house. The first visit for shots went well so I decided that I would switch. My 4 month old puppy is only two pounds and jumped off our sofa Monday. She immediately started limping and I called wellspring. They told me to observe her and call back if it didnt get better. When she continued to limp, I called as soon as they opened to make an appointment and they told me that they could not see her until the next day. I called Sigman and they told me to come right away. My poor girl had a broken leg. Thank goodness for Sigman or my sweet puppy would have suffered another day in pain. A vet who actually cares about my animals is worth the extra drive.

I have been taking my pets to Wellspring Animal Hospital since 2006 I believe. I found their office after a bad experience at two other local vet offices after moving to Georgia from out of state and I never looked back. Dr. Thomas is an incredible vet that handles anything from emergencies to annual visits with the same professionalism and kind demeanor as always. She kept my last dog going strong until an amazing eighteen years of age and she was there for her and for us until the time came to let her go. Her office rates are reasonable and if Dr. Thomas says something is necessary, then it is- you will never hear a sales pitch from her or her staff, just facts, pros, and cons so you can make an informed decision for your pet.

Dr. Laura Thomas is one of the best vets in the conies of Newton and surroundings. We have dealt with Dr. Thomas for the past 15 years and know her well. She took care of a Curly Coated Retiver of mine who had spasms, she cared for my Liam with a lot of LOVE. She does her utmost to provide a staff that is courteous and helpful. Recently Dr. Thomas and Chris (one of staff members) prepared papers for our dogs to go to Ecuador. Thhey were complete and met with all of Eucadors regulations. Five star Rating from us.

I really love Dr. Laura. She takes the time to evaluate the pet and takes time with the fur parents. She was also sweet when we had to euthanize our cat, Bunny after fighting a long illness. She is sensitive to the pets and parents needs. She is awesome.

Ambiance is soft, open, and relaxing. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and Dr. Thomas is thorough and caring. She keeps you informed of your pets issues and progress, even the animals seem more relaxed.

Out of 4 vets they were the only ones who would do anything for my dog who had been bitten by a rattlesnake. They were kind and compassionate to both of us and they saved his life.
