I went to Russell Ridge after trying several other vets in my area and not feeling great chemistry with any of them. When a friend whose puppy had just had a UTI as well as some employees at my favorite pet store and boarding place, Puppy Pantry, recommended Russell Ridge, I decided to give them a try. I was impressed with the office, the staff, the doctor and the overall level of care, compassion, and professionalism I witnessed while there. I was worried about our pup and took the first available appointment which meant I had to bring my dog AND four young kids in with me! No one batted an eye. They put us in a larger room and brought crayons and coloring pages for each child and even bottled water! Dr. Miller did a thorough exam and had a quick and simple diagnosis and treatment recommendation when he could have easily suggested a few lab procedures to inflate the bill and I would have been none the wiser. I must also admit that Im one of "those" people who feed their dog raw meat instead of kibble and refuse routine spay/neuter, instead asking for alternatives that many vets arent comfortable with. I cant find words to express how grateful I am that the doctors Ive seen at Russell Ridge never miss a beat when I mention these things. They dont pressure me to do anything Im not comfortable with and they never mock or seem to judge me harshly, which Im sad to say hasnt been the case elsewhere. Based on my personal experience heres what you WONT find at Russel Ridge Animal Hospital: -Rock bottom prices. This isnt a traveling vaccine clinic or low cost wellness clinic, its a doctors office. -Routine loooooong wait times. -Arrogant Vets (at least not any that Ive seen) -Unprofessional staff What you will find: - A clean and lovely office -Knowledgeable and friendly staff -Average prices for veterinary services -Convenient appointments and reasonable wait times -Veterinarians that seem competent and confident without being cavalier. -And a vet that does vasectomies!!! Seriously, this is a big deal! To sum up. Yes! I absolutely recommend them.

Very rude staff! I called in because my dog ate the Do not eat packet and I was freaking out and they were the closest and only thing open on Sunday. The lady told me to bring my pup right away in and that they will watch over her until the appointment time/until doctor is available. When I got there they had me fill out paperwork and you know the usual.. After I finished the paperwork they told me to sit down and wait. So I did... I waited for over an hour. The vet assistants ignored me, assisted all the others that were waiting after us! Their animals were not poisoned like mine. And after being told that they would take my animal right in ,was much misleading after I had to sit there with my poor sick puppy suffering for over a hour! I started to get impatient and they finally took her in. At least the doctor knew what he was talking about . But seriously he needs to train his staff customer service and the difference between a damn emergency and a regular appointment. They were very judgmental upon me paying . They treated me as if I cant afford anything , and after I payed the attitudes changed. And the best part they called me this morning "to check on my animal" and literally asked me one question and hung up on me!! No hello , no goodbye. Like seriously after all that b.s. And I payed $400 to get treated like shxt! I never raised my voice or anything on these people. I do not understand their behavior towards me. I guess if you look poor dont go there because they will judge you, ignore you and treat you like crap!

I drive about 30 miles to go to this vet and never regret it. I have the highest confidence in the care and that theyre not overtreating to up the bill. My first visit was to get a second opinion on an orthopedic condition my dog had been diagnosed with, at the recommendation of his trainer. Dr. Miller was so fantastic that I declared this to be my new hospital for everything. Important to note that my dog is a problem dog (dangerously agressive in some situations) and a subsequent shift to a more convenient vet was regrettable, both for cost and for handling. Not that facilitys fault necessarily, but he bit a tech and it was a disaster on top of a disaster. A return to Russell Ridge has relieved my anxiety in getting him treated for illnesses and his annual checkup. Its also rejuvenated my hope in getting my dog past his vet issues. They handle him so impressively that hes just not really any obvious challenge for them. Hes gobbling treats and happy tail wagging by then end. Dr. Cummings is now as much of a vet buddy as hes had, so thats who we ask for. Im sure there are plenty of facilities that provide great care but to provide that level of care along with such a clear understanding of animal behavior and great customer service is what will keep me driving to them. I thank the folks at U.S. Canine for pointing me in the direction of Russell Ridge.

After using another vet for 8 years, and feeling they were too expensive, I decided to look online for other possibilities. Our vet had 3.6 of 5 rating. When I saw that Russell Ridge Animal Hospital has a 4.9 rating, I decided to give them a try since our Miniature schnauzer, Jarhead, was due for his yearly shots and checkup. When I called I was offered an appointment for 2 days later. When we went for the appointment everyone was so nice--they introduced themselves and took a lot of time with us. In addition to getting his yearly shots and checkup, I mentioned that Jarhead had been drinking and peeing a lot more than usual and was suspicious that he might be diabetic. As it turned out, he is. They asked me to bring him back the next day, and the entire staff went into what in sports might be called a full court press to get his high blood sugar under control.. It will take a while to get him used to his new diet and get his insulin regulated, but I am confident it will happen. Everyone I encountered at Russell Ridge Animal Hospital treated Jarhead and me like we were family. I am amazed at how much time they spent with us-- I never felt rushed or hurried, and they imparted a genuine caring attitude. I am so impressed with the entire experience that I highly recommend them. And they are open every day, even Sunday!

Absolutely THE MOST AMAZING doctor and care staff I have ever had the pleasure of going to. On Saturday I noticed that my kitten was having eye issues and was going to bring my little guy to a vet on Sunday. Unfortunately a lot of places are closed then (boo!) or cost an arm and a leg (not impressed). However! With Russell Ridge you can tell they really care about animals more than that "almighty dollar". Not only are they caring: they did a follow up call today to check on how things are going with Noel (my kitten) and I, they also charge cheaper than most other places Ive been to before. (Did I mention I love these people, already? Because I really do. They are a god send.) ALSO! These hard work people are opened ALL 7 days a week. So if you want professionalism plus warm, kind and caring doctors and care staff you wont want to bring your animals anywhere else other than here. I am sad that I can only give them only 5 stars because these people deserve so much more. From now on my only veteraniarn business is with Russell Ridge. You guys earned a loyal customer for sure. Dr. Steven and care team thank you so much for helping my little boy and God bless you and your kind hearts all. Thank you.
