Aside from the animal hospital, the grooming service that they have here is excellent. . The animal hospital is a different story. Every time I have come here to get my dog groomed the animal hospital pulls a "he needs this vaccine to in order to get groomed" I came to drop my dog off to get groomed and the animal hospital receptionist told me my dog needed to get a lepto vaccine. Now by law, a dog is not required to have this vaccine. And certain dogs "should" have this vaccine if they are around lakes and creeks. My dog is a indoor dog and is never around lakes or creeks. Second of all, the receptionist didnt even mention to me that my dog will be needing this when I called and spoke to her on the phone days prior to his grooming appointment (the receptionist at the animal hospital schedules all grooming appointments). This is such an inconvenience for me to show up to a grooming appointment and expect a payment of $73 on top of a grooming fee without being notified prior to this. I understand that animal hospitals have their own set of rules and thats okay. Just notify me in advance that he needs an additional thing. I would be less upset if they had told me this before showing up. Especially when we constantly ask them in advance if he needs any more shots or vaccines. This animal hospital is just money hungry. Its such a shame that such a good grooming service is apart of this animal hospital.

My experience here has been drastically different that that of other reviewers. It just seemed to me that they did not care that much for my cat and only saw dollar signs as i walked in the door. My cat was terrified of this place with all the barking dogs. Unfortunately I did let my cat stay there for two days and the bill was enormous for a treatment that any other vet would of sent me home to do for my pet (of course they dont make the extra $ that way). They had quoted me an amount for his stay and of course the cost far exceeded the quoted range they gave me. I tried to get them to write a prescription for pain medication for my kitty but of course they dont give you that option so they can charge excessive fees for the medications they provide themselves at huge markups. If you are on a budget go elsewhere. The vet i saw did not seem caring but some of the staff was nice. They only bring out and let you see your pet once you have paid the entire bill (at least for me). I have been to this place three times because of fees i had paid and invested in prior visits. I will not be going anymore.

Our rescued yellow Lab came to us with deep scars on his back legs, a red rash on his front legs, and pustules on his abdomen. He scratched constantly and had recurring infections in his skin. He was initially seen by a vet in California who said all we could do for him was to bathe him weekly with medicated shampoo. While this provided temporary relief, it was always short-lived. Dr. Zalesky saw him and did a thorough exam, including skin scrapings. She treated the infection, then recommended a special diet for food allergies. He began to respond within days. She then suggested a new drug to stop the itching. Our dog who was previously described as looking "moth-eaten" now has a thick, soft coat. The rash is gone, the scars are almost covered with fur, and his once bare abdomen has fur. He sleeps comfortably because he is not scratching all night. Dr. Zalesky took the time to really diagnose his problem and research treatment methods. The entire staff at Sugarloaf shows care and concern for the animals. Our dogs are actually happy when they walk through the door!

I love Dr Brown and his staff, everyone there is so nice and really loves there jobs and the pups and cats that are brought there. I have 2 dogs that have had health issues and Dr. Brown talks to you about what he thinks is going, He doesnt run a bunch of test to make the bill huge. I have moved and wish I could move them with me. If I ever go back to that area I will return as a customer. I high recommend Dr. Brown and his staff, everyone there goes the extra mile to make sure the animal and the owner are relaxed and up to date on what is going on. Youll love them I am sure

Amy Randolph - Lawrenceville,GA. We have lived in Lawrenceville since 2001. We started with Sugarloaf Animal hospital ever since they opened. All of our dogs have been seen by ALL of the knowledgeable, caring doctors. We LOVE the staff, especially Michelle and Jennifer! The staff was there for us when we had to put down our oldest dog, Mollie. The WHOLE staff sent us a sympathy card that everyone signed with personal messages. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have referred family, friends, and neighbors and they ALL had GREAT EXPERIENCES!

Sugarloaf Animal Hospital welcomes you with open arms and treats you like a family. They have an amazing staff, everyone is really helpful and answer all you questions. Also their grooming service is top notch. I loved how they decided to groom my dog when everyone rejected her because shes a husky and it requires a lot of time and patience with them. I will continue to come and get my dog groomed from them!

I have been taking my cat Lucy to Sugarloaf Animal Hospital for years. She goes for her annual checkups and I board her there a couple of times a year when I am traveling. The staff and doctors are very attentive to Lucys needs and the practice has a low turn over of staff so Lucy and I always see a familiar face. I highly recommend them to friends and family for their pets.

This vet has made being a first time dog owner so easy. They give you all the information you could need on how to care for your animal. They take extensive notes and if you tell them that your animal sneezed you can be sure that is in their file and they will ask you about how the animal is doing the next time you come in.
