About 3 months after I adopted two little kittens, our little orange tabby started acting very sick and lathargic. I took him to see Dr. Donavan at Lawrenceville Animal Hospital. She was so kind and truly cared about poor little Spunx. She ran quite a few blood tests and for about a week we remained baffled as Spunx got sicker. She said to keep my hope, that it could be this particular parasite that is treatable but the test result for that one wouldnt be back for another few days so we started treating him for that. He kept getting sicker, and me and Spunx returned to Dr. Donavan almost every day. She comforted me, I was a wreck! I was getting married that week! I started boarding Spunx overnight at a differnet facility in the area, and got a call the night before our wedding that Spunx was ready to leave us and I needed to make the decision to put him down. We went and said our good byes to our little prince. A few days later we found out he had FIP and it was fatal. Dr. Donavan tried EVERYTHING, and I dont regret the thousands we spent boarding him at all! FIP is very difficult to diagnose and she was very thourough with explaining everything to me. Thank God our other little kitty, Jinx, has been disease free and shes now 4 years old! The Dr. explained to me what to watch for and that she should be in the clear in about a year after Spunx passing. I would recommend them to ANYONE, I love this vet facility!

I had an emergency, my cat Lucy had somehow pulled out completely her back toenail it was bleeding pretty badly. She had been an abandoned cat in my neighborhood and adopted by us about a year ago and although I had taken her to a clinic to be spayed and get her shots I did not have a veterinarian. I needed to find one fast and seeing this hospital many times I called to see if I could bring her up there, the receptionist was very sweet (good first impression) so decided to go. I did read the review from Mr. Llano which was also encouraging. I am so glad I went. Courtney was very nice and took Lucy and me to the examining room and then took her back to Dr. Pope. He came out to talk to me and to explain what he was going to do. Lucy let both Courtney and the Dr. hold her and also get her calmly back in her carrier which I cant even do so that should tell you something... I was very impressed with Dr. Pope he was very nice, very professional and spent a lot of time with me, asked me questions, told me what to look for when I got home, and what to do if there was a problem which there wasnt. His office called the next morning to check on Lucy and Courtney called again 2 days later to see how she was. I will certainly return and will recommend Dr. Popes Lawrenceville-Suwanee Animal Hospital to anyone.

Dr. Pope and his team are truly extraordinary!! Just recently one of my dogs ate a foreign object and Dr. Pope performed the surgery. We are not sure how long the object was in the stomach, so this was a very serious and life threatening procedure. He was able to successfully remove the object, and my dog has healed perfectly. My older dog has attended this vet for a while now, and I highly recommend Dr. Pope and his team to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, skilled veterinarian, whos main priority is doing whats best for your pet. I moved away from the Lawrenceville Suwanee area and took my older dog to another vet closer to my home to get neutered. There were some complications and even though I went to another vet Dr. Pope wanted to stay in the loop and be updated on his condition. Both my dogs will continue their regularly scheduled care with Dr. Pope and I dont mind traveling a little farther than I need to for such quality service. I have owned dogs all my life and have attended several vets, and the fees and rates on regular care and emergency procedures at Lawrenceville-Suwanee are very reasonable and right in line with any other vet or animal hospital. If you want a vet that will get down on the floor with your pet and a team that treats your pet like their own, this is the place!

The place is clean and smells good without air fresheners (waiting room, back room and patient rooms). The waiting room is bright and airy with informational brochures and products around to help educate you on what is available. The staff is courteous and wants the best for your animal. I brought in an adult indoor cat and a geriatric ShihTzu for annuals. Dr. Pope examined my cat. He is very thorough and gentle. He also gives great shots. My cat didnt flinch. My geriatric dog has numerous problems but hes 15-ish. He has kidney, disc, allergies, heart murmur and skin issues. His back legs collapse and has been on steroids for a few years. Dr. Pope was concerned with my dogs liver numbers and suggested to try to limit the steroids to every 3 days or longer if possible. What a change this has made on my dogs life. He may limp a bit more but hes so much more happy and energetic. Im so thankful. Dr Pope surprised me with his youth and then his intelligence, quick mind and gentle manner with my pets. This vet and staff are a class act. Definitely a place I will continue to take my pets.

Just got back from the worst customer service I have yet to experience! I had called, they said they had an opening at 11:00 or 11:15. I chose 11:00am. I showed up at 10:50 to fill out paperwork. As I am talking with the receptionist a cat jumps on the counter. Not phased by this I said "A Cat!" She said, "Yup, and continued..." I informed her my dog does not do well with other animals, and she put the cat on the floor. We continued speaking until my dog went nuts because they cat had walked around to the lobby! The women didnt care... and then led me to an exam room and left me there for 30 minutes! After I made a phone call, where I stated I wanted to leave, she then poked her head in to tell me it wouldnt be much longer... I then left! And will never return! I know I will need to pay someone hundreds if not thousands to repair my dog, and I WILL NOT give it to such rude people!

I was very disappointed with the care provided. My wife brought in our dog for his shots and a first appointment. He had a mild yeast infection on his skin and in his ears. My wife came home with a cephalosporin anti-biotic, anti-biotic/anti-fungal combo for his ears that cost over $100, they wanted to run a $100 liver panel to see if his liver could handle a systemic anti-fungal, which is completely unnecessary at this point, in addition a $25 anti-fungal soap. All of this could have been resolved with $5 worth of topical antifungal from walgreens. Its either that the Doctor has no idea how to properly treat infections and is completely uninformed or they were trying to just make money off us. Either way, I am not impressed, and will be even less impressed if they refuse to refund me today for the unnecessary medicine they convinced my wife to buy.
