We live in a small town and have medicaid for both of my boys. It was very difficult to find a provider that is still accepting patients where we live, and so I was very relieved when I found Eye Site Family Vision Center in Gainesville. The doctor might not be as personable as most would want, but I am so thankful that both of my boys now have eye glasses and can see in school. I never had any problems with the girls at the front desk, and actually, they were always pleasant and very courteous. We have to remember that everyone has bad days.....and no one or business is perfect. Our appointments were kept on time, and our eye glasses came in earlier then expected. I once went to an eye doctor in our town of Toccoa, and they actually forgot to order my sons eyeglasses, so we had to wait a total of 6 months...and when I kept calling to check on it, they made me feel like I was bothering them. For us, that is not the case with Eye Site of Gainesville. Thank you to all of the staff for being so friendly and going out of your way to check on our eye glass orders, and thank you to Dr. Gabriel for still accepting new applicants and helping my boys see better! We will definitely be returning and recommending you to others.

⚠️ WARNING⚠️ DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Update: well this place literally lost my glasses. I called a few weeks ago & they told me my glasses were in the office. When I went to pick them up they said they were mailed. I went yesterday to find out what happened & they said they had no records of them being mailed & they werent in the office. They also had my maiden name on my paper work. I changed my name 8 years ago!!! I called & they said they mailed them to an old address that I havent lived at for over 5 years! It was the address from the first time I went there. They are extremely rude. The lady Ive been talking to acts as if I did something wrong. Idk what to do. They refuse to replace my glasses or to do anything to rectify the situation. April 2017: Been waiting close to 2 months for my glasses... every time I call them I get a busy tone... aghhh

Ive been a patient for nearly 10 years and today was the straw that broke the camels back! This was my last visit to Dr.Gabriel. First, i have both medical and vision insurance. Vision pays once a year and if a 2nd visit is needed my medical. Apparently, the staff thinks Im an idiot and dont know my benefits. Then Dr. Gabriel told me there would no charge for a procedure he did, when I got out to pay, the charged me $20 extra when I told them what was said, they went and asked him and he denied it! They kept taking other people in front of me, having me leave the exam room so other, non-white people could be taken care of. I was refused an itemized receipt being told it would be on my credit card!...Well, bye-bye to a 10 year relationship. You lost 2 patients. Think how you treat people.

I am never going back here again. First off the doctor didnt say anything to me when he was doing the exams. He never said anything about my vision getting worse or what glasses he is going to order for me. He never spoke to me. Second, I have been waiting for my glasses for nearly 4 months now. I called my insurance about it and they called the eye doctor and they apparently dont have me on file even though my insurance has bills from this place. Im not sure how many people they have screwed over but in my best opinion Id rather find a different eye doctor.

Best eye exam I have ever had ! Dr. Gabrel found vision problems no other exam had picked up. Herman Jones has made our families glasses for several years and has always treated us with the upmost respect and made certain the frames and lenses were correctly fitted to our prescription. The entire staff has always gone out of their way to be helpful. Sad to see a review from somebody like Melissa who fails to tell the entire story ! No matter how hard you try, you cant please everyone, everytime. Gary R

It was my daughters and I first time here because "luckily" they take amerigroup insurance, when we got there no one greeted us. they only had a few people there, it wasnt crazy busy but still they acted like they were. In addition to all this their office was so dirty they had cobwebs all over the place. their display glasses were so dirty and like i said with cobbwebs all over. they really need to updo their office. Because either way their still getting paid by amerigroup.

Short Staffed, No Answer, No Help and Limited Selection of Glasses. They open when they feel like it, even if you are the first apt. it will still be 30 mins before you get examined. Doctor may not have children because he doesnt talk to his pint size patients about the exam to calm their nerves. Definitely Changing, even if I pay out of pocket.

The worst treatment, the doctor was very rude, even raised his voice to me in the front where it was full of other patients because I said I was taking my son to Americas best to get his glasses. I will never go back to eyesite of Gainesville again.

Gone here 2xs and both times my glasses get lost while shipped and it takes me like 3 to 4 months to get my glasses...only go here cuz they take my insurance...next timeim better paying out of pocket somewhere else

Quick exam and diagnosis. The doctors and staff are extremely helpful but due to ot location and parking arrangement it can make visits a handful. If that could be negotiated then easily 5 stars.
