Staff are welcoming, friendly, and usually punctual about appointments; A great choice for families with younger patients. Dr. Carrier provided excellent eye examinations, with a strong memory for past visits and prior prescription choices - all provided with a comfortable, relaxed demeanor. I often brought in broken glasses or frames needing refitting with no advance warning and left the same day with them fully serviced and repaired at no cost! However, throughout the 12+ years I was a patient at DFEC, I was also often misquoted or downright misinformed about costs for services in advance (ex: unannounced fees for "contact lenses fittings") . They arent afraid to intentionally under-communicate expenses for services when they profit by omitting pricing upfront. Be sure to clearly suss out finances before green-lighting any trivial services. Otherwise, I would highly recommend to a friend.

I have had glasses and/or contacts for 15 years and never have I had to wait over a month and a half for my contacts and almost 4 months for my single vision pair of glasses. They tried to make up the wait to me by giving me a free pair of sunglasses, but regardless, their customer service was sub par the entire experience and the whole ordeal was just awful. Not to mention a huge waste of my time and resources.

I ordered contacts 3 weeks ago, and still dont have them. I was told theyd be in on Saturday and never got a call. I went there monday and then I was told theyd be in Tuesday or Wednesday, then never got a call. Thursday comes along and now they have no idea when. I also left 4 VM messages over this whole incident and never received a single call back. I finally got a refund and ordered them online.

Dr. Waters is personable and friendly. Her knowledge about other medical conditions that effect my eyesight is impressive! Only downside: frames can be pricey without insurance... thankfully, they work well with Americas Best to get my script turned into specs!
