Technicality Alert!!! My daughter was diagnosed with a medical condition 1 year ago. She called to schedule a normal Annual Exam and in the process of doing so indicated that she wanted to see the Dr. that performed her surgery and diagnosed her.... but it was just for an annual exam. They coded it as a problem visit because she mentioned her prior surgery in requesting the Dr. When she arrived for her exam (members are given 1 free exam per year), she was told there was a $50 co pay. She paid it, not knowing better, and told me afterwards. I told her it should be free, and she went back to ask the front desk clerk why she was charged. She was told it was a problem visit, and she said no, she just wanted her annual exam. She was also told that the Dr. that she scheduled the visit with was no longer with Kaiser, and she would be seeing someone else..... The clerk told her to tell the nurse that this was just an annual exam, and they would authorize a refund. She did so, and the nurse told her to go back to the front desk at the end of her visit for a refund. When the Dr. came in, my daughter told the Dr. that she had never met before about her history.... that she had a surgery and was diagnosed with a condition. Because she mentioned this surgery and condition, the Dr. said it was a problem visit, and justified the $50 charge, eventhough my daughter told the nurse before the Dr. came in that this was just an annual exam.... My issue with this scenario is that my daughter was simply giving her background to the Dr., whom she had never met before.... which I believe is normal. Is she not permitted to have an annual exam and discuss her history? How do you have any type of medical exam without discussing your medical history??? This shows me that this Dr. Marisa Chavez, and Kaiser, cares not about the patient, but the money they can get from the patient! Dr. Chavez did not do anything special in the appt., and did not spend any additional time with my daughter. She simply discussed the diagnosis and her options going forward, which we already knew. There were no additional tests run, no additional time spent, but my daughter was charged additional money. Totally unacceptable, and the Dr. and Kaiser should be ashamed of themselves! If I could give 0 stars I would... I am very disappointed with their customer service and money hungry practices! SHAME ON THEM!!! If you are going for an annual exam.... make sure you dont say a word about a previous condition, or the slightest problem you may be experiencing. They will jump on the opportunity to charge you a co pay for a problem visit! BEWARE!!!!

I have been to this pharmacy twice in the seven years I have been with KP. The people working here are very polite and professional, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. However, in both cases when I attempted to get a prescription filled at this location, the pharmacy did not have the prescribed amount in stock. The prescription was for 30 pills--and they had 10 pills in stock the first time, and 9 in stock the second time. And I was not told that they did not have the necessary amount until Id sat there and waited for them to fill it (and yes--in both cases, Id called days ahead of time to order the medication and indicated Id pick up here). The second time this happened, I had to leave the next day to go to Brazil for three weeks, and had to ration the pills while I was there. I have never had this problem at other locations. It seems to me that a large corporation like KP would have a system in place where they could indicate whether or not the prescribed amount of a medication is in stock at a particular location at the time you order the prescription. If Id known they didnt have it in stock, I could have gone to another pharmacy. Moreover, they should do a better job of keeping medications in stock.

Horrible. I dont recommend going to this location. Theyre appointmets are always behind. Plus the nurses and doctors are inexperienced. They swapped my throat for a strep throat test and my throat has been dry, irratated and scratchy. Last time I checked this is not normal so I concluded the sample wasnt followed through with, with the correct procedure. I love kaiser but I will NO longer be attending this location because Ive had far too many horrific experiences dealing with this location

This year my job gave options and this was the best option. When you come yes its a one stop shop but you have NO personal touch. Your treated as a number. When you call the phone line to speak with the operator and then a nurse etc they continue to ask you for the your number after you have verified yourself!! I hate having to repeat myself when youre sick!!! Sucks!!!

Good selection of doctors at this location and weekend pharmacy hours on Saturday and Sunday are a bonus. Pharmacy is pretty quick and usually has any med I need, Ive never had to wait for them to order in a medicine; this pharmacy stocks many more drugs than the Stonecrest or Conyers locations.

I did not have an appointment but went anyway and was seen within 65 minutes. I think this is pretty good. I have gone to a personal physician with an appointment and had to wait longer I am very happy with the service care and one stop shop provided by Kaiser
