I highly recommend this Vet, and have put why I do below if youd like a more detailed explanation of why this vet is so good! We are new to the area and usually use the Vet clinic that goes to pet stores. It is cheaper to take two pets for just shots. We had an emergency, severely infected and swollen ear on my dog who is 13. I saw the Animal Hospital Milledgeville had a great rating and figured I go for it. There were about 3 or 4 people there when we arrived. We ended up only being there about an hour total, which is good for a walk in only Vet. They did not try to recommended any expensive tests or try to go for surgery. My dog has chronic ear issues due to allergies and has had tohave multiple surgeries before. Also, damage to one ear causes it not t function properly leading to more infections. They listened to us about his past issues while treating him. He did not need a muzzle, which I only request because he snaps and growls, not bite. They handled him amazingly! The looked at his ears, told us what they needed to donwhich was only a shot for inflammation and some medicine iin his ear that lasts 2 weeks. Simple effective solution, and it all cost $108 including vet visit. They were fast but not rude or giving a rushed feeling. The staff is super nice and the tech that held my dog during this was Great with him. His ear was very painful and they had to touch it to examine it properly and massage the meds down into his ear. This made him cry and whine but the tech found a good scratch spot and helped take his mind off everything. Bonus, they have animals walking around, this dog heard mine crying and came into the room to comfort him!! Literally stood up so they could see each other and touched my dogs feet with its nose. I highly recommend this Vet and Ive become some what critical of them after a really bad experience. This place is a good!!

Very displeased with this vets office. I was not impressed whatsoever. I saw good reviews on this office, and took my puppy there for a second opinion. The vet was informed that she was a second opinion, after seeing another vet 3 times already with minimal results. The vet had all charts from the other office, and could see what treatments had been given thus far. The vet kept my puppy all day Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and I got her back on Tuesday at lunchtime. I never once received a call or an update on my pup, despite calling the office and leaving voicemails. Not only did I not hear any results, I was never allowed to speak with the vet. I was brought out my puppy by the desk girl after being charged $235, and having no explanation as to what was going on with my dog. Today, a week and a day later, I took my pup back to the vet, only to be turned away, and suggested that I be referred to UGA. Again, i was not able to speak with the vet, only the desk staff. They did not even look at my dog. Before referring an animal somewhere else, you should ATLEAST do bloodwork or a chest xray in my case. I am very displeased as my dog was kept for 4 days, treated with medications, with no idea what they were even treating. Random treatment should not have occurred after knowing how sick she has been. Not only that, but after looking up what medication she was given, it is not recommended for puppies under a year old, and my puppy is only 4 months old.

Dont recommend if you love your pups like babies... Took our sweet 3 y.o. mix in for a weekend stay while we were out of town. He came home withe kennel cough, despite having the vaccine, meaning they allowed a sick dog to stay in the clinic with him. Very disappointing! We took him ELSEWHERE for diagnosis and treatment. Thank goodness the 2nd clinic we chose (Gordon Animal Clinic) is cost-efficient, treatment only cost $40 for him. However, we then had to rush our 6 month old pup to the clinic also to be vaccinated and receive treatment (another $40), since our 3 y.o. is contagious for 2 weeks. Cost is not much of an issue for us - we are just upset that our babies are sick! Will not be using the Milledgeville Animal Clinic again.

Wonderful doctor but in regards with office management, they dont take appointments. Too many times I have traumatized my pets, chasing them down , driven to the vet, only to walk in and expect a very long wait. A chance one takes with this vet. They suggest I leave my pets but then that involves 4 trips back and forth plus upsetting my pets even more and being left all day in an unknown environment. No more and found a vet with appointments to utilize my time and not upset my pets. Otherwise I would continue to go there. Wish this vet would reconsider and manage differently. Found another vet further away but worth it for me and more in line with my expectations.

Wouldnt return my calls, wouldnt call and infrom me of results for my dog. Very unprofessional, was told results would be ready thursday afternoon and that the doctor would give me a call. Never heard from her, called the office on friday and was given the run around several times by staff, and doctor would not come to phone. It is now late Friday afternoon and they are closing and still no results have been given. if you want to have an active informed role in the health if your animal dont go to this vet. There are several others in town ,old capitol vet just to name one, that are more professional and also a lot cheaper.

The vet Dr. Russ Edwards past away in April 2016 at the tender age of 37. His wife is now taken over the practice. So for those of you that had issues in April I hope you can understand.
