Went in about 2 hours ago do to the fact that my dog got hit by a car and needed to be seen as soon as possible! My dog is having a lot of trouble walking and he has multiple scars on his left foot, right foot, mouth, and face. He isnt good and his left leg is only getting worst! The left leg is swollen and I personally think it got ran over by the wheel of the car when he got hit! I didnt know where else to go so I choose to come here sense its open 24 hours on the weekend. I went in with my pitbull and the front desk lady was already afraid of him. He wasnt doing anything but you could see she wasnt trying to get near him because she wouldnt even help me out him on the scale! I dont blame her I didnt want her help either because I know my dog and he would have probably got aggressive if she would have laid a hand on him! After that I went in the room and my big baby was getting upset in that little room, he wasnt feeling good hes still in pain and they took forever! As Im waiting for the doctor to come in the room and take a look on my dog, she also gets surprised at the fact that my dogs a pitbull she isnt trying to get near him and she even told me to push him back so he couldnt get near her. My dog is aggressive so again I dont blame her either. My dog doesnt even get physically checked. All the doctor does is look at him from a distance and tells me that his leg could just be swollen or fracture as if I didnt know that already. She only told me stuff I already knew but then again she didnt even want to get near him. If Im paying for him to get "examined" the lady should taken a closer look at him, touch him or do what she had to so he could get the equal check up as any other dog would. I paid 88 dollars for that check up that was done about 5 feet away from my dog. My dog didnt get his scars cleaned or bandaged which is one of the other reasons why I dont think I should have paid. The doctor also said she couldnt do anything. She didnt give me any options like x rays or anything because she said she needed a bigger person do to what kind of dog it was! My dog is so loving and is honestly only a big baby!! I am devastated because I dont know where to go. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO INTO THAT PLACE AGAIN!! Ive never been treated so poorly!

We went in at 2am to get our 6 month old pitbull checked out as he had been vomiting and had diarrhea with a good amount of blood in it. Our first thought was that he got ahold of something and we were afraid he might have some damage that we could not see. As soon as we walked in, the nurse was rude and pushy. Our puppy was not very excited to get on the scale and as I was trying to get him to stand on there, she picked him up by his leash so by his neck and threw him on the scale, not even asking for our help. We went into the exam room and she asked us some questions about him and did a quick exam. We waited about 10 minutes for the vet to come in and she checked the same things that the nurse did. After that she said that there was nothing noticeable and that he is stable. When we asked her what to do, she kept saying that she didnt know. She gave us the option of blood work and x rays or to give him fluids and anti nausea medice. She kept saying she didnt know what to do and she didnt have a crystal ball to know and have us no opinion whatsoever. We decided on the fluids and medication. Instead of giving him the shot and fluids to absorb in the room with us, she insisted on taking him to the back and doing it without us. We could hear him crying from the other room. We paid and left and everything was normal but as soon as we got home, our puppy could barely walk. He was stumbling terribly as if he was drunk and couldnt even get a drink out of his water bowl without me holding him up. When my boyfriend called to ask what was happening, since they didnt explain any side effects to us, all they could say is that they didnt know why that was happening and to bring him back. We are now sitting here at 5 in the morning waiting for our day vet to open so we can make sure he is okay. Moral of the story is, dont EVER take your animal here. It was the worst service and we paid 200 dollars to have no answer for our puppy.

We brought our husky into this clinic at 2:00am New Years day he was very lethargic and would not get up or move with labored breathing. Dr Eisold was our vet and came in with not a very nice bed side manner. At first she thought our husky had a spinal injury and told us there was not much she could do and we would have to go to the University of Illinois. Then my husband stood our dog up and the vet saw that he could stand and move his head, so she said they could do blood work. After the blood work came back and was not good the vet wanted to take xrays to check to see if he had fluid/blood in his abdomen. The xrays were not very clear and she immediately told us it was his spleen and it had ruptured. We asked about surgery to take it out and she said huskys only live to be 10-11 and he probably wouldnt make it. I told her I was not comfortable just putting him down without knowing for sure what was wrong, so they took him to the back to stick a needle in his abdomen to see if they could get any fluid off of it. She came back in and told us there was nothing in the syringe. Meanwhile, when all of this was going on my husband and I were bawling. The vet then said well we could start him on antibiotics and pain meds to see what happens and you can take him home. So we took him home and had our main vet look at him and she took digital xrays to look at his spleen. The verdict is it is one of two things and both he should live through. Point of the story, Dr Eisold basically told us to put our dog down and today 2 days later he is jumping on the couch and eating hard food which is a lot more then he was doing. I am so glad my husband and I followed our instincts and got a second opinion!

This place is a fantastic resource. Ive used it twice, both times it was over the weekend, the normal vet (who is also fantastic) was out, and my pet(s) were in very bad pain. Both times the Animal Emergency Clinic helped my pet(s), solved the problem, and was very kind and understanding in doing it. I was very happy, and Im sure if they could, my pets would thank them too. The first time, one of my cats broke one of her canine teeth. She was in massive pain, couldnt eat, and jumped in pain every few moments. It was 10PM on Saturday night. I took her to the Animal Emergency Clinic, and they immediately scheduled for tooth removal, put her on meds, and within a day or two my cat was back to normal 100%. Most recently, I was helped by a tech named "Meg", she was totally awesome, and I knew my concerns for my pet were odd, and I was wondering if I was over-reacting. But she completely understood my concerns, and gave me advice, and it helped my pet 100%. Thank you!!! I will use Animal Emergency Clinic without reservation in the future.
