I recently adopted a rescue puppy, Charlie, and was recommended to All Creatures as a good general vet. I called and scheduled an appointment to get Charlie his last puppy booster, microchip registered, and supplies of heartgaurd and frontline stocked. The woman I spoke with to make the appointment was nice enough on the phone, told me the cost of each service and product, and scheduled me in….. So I thought. My fiancé, Charlie and I arrived to All Creatures 10 minutes before our appointment time to check in, and could not be found in the system. First it was thought it was due to us being new clients, but no matter the search, we could not be found. They suggested that I had come on the wrong day (which I hadn’t) but they couldn’t find me scheduled on another day either. They didn’t offer to try and squeeze us in, but did try and reschedule us for another day. I didn’t choose to schedule a second appointment with All Creatures due to the lackluster first impression they made (who knows if that one would have been kept either). Unfortunately to top it off, I had scheduled an exterminator to come to our house and fumigate while we were at All Creatures making us unable to return home for two hours. On a 95 degree day, we all found our foiled attempt at a visit to be incredibly frustrating, unbearably hot, and in general lousy customer service.

I have two bunnies and 1 rat, and have foster cared for many buns. The vets at All Creatures are excellent; they take wonderful care of my exotics and explain everything to me from perfect body weight in rats to how rabbit teeth work to how the bald spots on bunny feet are judged (turns out theres a scale from 1-5). My bunnies go in for an annual exam once a year and Ive used this vet for emergency visits as well. When my rat got too old and had to be euthanized, they were incredibly caring and sympathetic. They also have an ethical standard I support and have a small zoo of animals at the clinic that have been surrendered rather than be euthanized. Theyve performed spays and neuters on my animals along with other surgeries. I cant speak highly enough of the vets and clinic staff; I know my animals are in caring and competent hands with this clinic.

Initially had positive experiences with them, but that turned sour fairly quickly. Check ups for my dog Simba were great, as well as dealing with health issues he had near the end... But once I had to send him to the great doggy park in the sky, thats when All Creatures got bad. They quoted me a price of $65 for the cremation services, which was great, as I was in a pretty rough spot at the time and couldnt afford too much more. After everything, I received a bill for $135 dollars, which I clearly told them was wrong and was not at all what was quoted to me. Rather than work with me, they sent it to collections. An extremely sour end to dealing with what was once a great vet service.

I had a little guinea pig named Ruby who got very sick, I took her to my local vet in Clinton where she was handled poorly and was given medication that I later found out wasnt even close to the right dosage. Then I came here. The vet sat down and talked to me about her diet and about what I should and shouldnt feed her (I was feeding her very unhealthy foods!) and they treated her VERY well, I was so happy with the way they helped me with the injections I had to give her, they taught us step by step until we were comfortable. Unfortunately, she passed away but they did all they could! Very professional kind people!

We have been going to All Creatures since they first opened on N. Lincoln in Urbana. Every time we went, we were very happy with all the care our birds got, and we had difficult cases that took some investigations. The doctors called us with results of the tests so we were updated as well as one can hope. They also taught us how to take care of the birds when we were getting started. All interactions have been very caring and warm. I cant imagine better.

We have taken our pets to Dr. Mary Welle for over ten years. She is extremely knowledgeable and fantastic at explaining things thoroughly and without coming across as condescending. She is gentle and skilled at handling each of our animals, from our huge dog to a tiny cat. We had to say goodbye to our 18 year old cat last year, and the entire process was so loving and kind. I recommend All Creatures to anyone looking for a C-U area vet.

Dr. Welle and her team have been my vet for almost 20 yrs. They do fabulous work, are reasonably priced, and dont suggest unnecessary treatments. Dr. Welle and Dr. Sandra both have fantastic bedside manner and take the time to be sure you understand their teccomendations. Most importantly though, they have true compassion for both their animal patients and their human clients. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Weve been taking our pets there for a few years and have always been so pleased with the care our pets received, especially when our two cats became old and ill. The staff and the vets have been so understanding and were wonderful when we had to put our cats to sleep. Theyve always answered all of our questions and are very knowledgeable about the studies regarding pet diseases.

We took our 2 cats to Dr. Mary for more than 5 years. Sadly, we moved out of state last year. Dr. Mary diagnosed and subsequently saved the life of our asthmatic cat. She and her staff were always professional, caring, and compassionate. Our chronically ill cat thrived under her care! I miss All Creatures very much and would recommend anyone take their pet to this wonderful vet!

worst vet i have EVER been to dont come here unless you want to be treated with no respect and have your animal traumatized and them make you pay for things you never authorized them to do my animal will never be back so dont waste your time on this place go to a real vet

I think this is a pretty good veterinary clinic. Their office is across the parking lot from my works warehouse, so I know a lot of people who have taken their pets there. I havent ever heard any complaints from anyone. Theyll also look at birds and lizards so thats cool.

Knowledgable and friendly vets. Staff is prompt, courteous, and friendly. Costs for food and service are tough to beat. Ive recommended this vet to many friends with pets, and none have been disappointed.
