Our beloved 13 year old poodle named Frankie became extremely ill so I called the hospital and I was told to bring him in 2 hours,I was not happy to wait but fortunately Dr Bloomberg called back and told us to come right away. When we got there we were seen right away and after examining Frankie Dr.Bloomberg told us our greatest fear that Frankies condition is serious .Frankie has been progressively less active, sleeps a lot and his oral intake was poor and sometimes vomits ,He also started to have a bothersome cough that it almost takes his breath away. The night before he suddenly can not walk anymore. We told Dr.Bloomberg due to Frankies progressively declining health we would like to let him rest. My husband who has been retired spends more time with our pets and understandably was beside himself but everyone was so sympathetic. We were given time to be with Frankie I even went home to pick up Mandy our other poodle and Frankies sister. We had time to thank Frankie for the joy he has brought to our lives in a very personal environment.Dr.Bloomberg explained what he will be doing. He sedated Frankie and during this time he was in my husbands arms. When Frankie was really sedated the final injection was given and we watch Frankie take his last breath. This unhurried environment and the bonding time we all had at the end allowed us to view this experience of letting go less painful even if our sadness was beyond words. There was an air of sadness among the staff when we came out of the room after Frankie was gone this says a lot that they care and they will miss our Frankie also. Two days ago I went to pick up Frankies ashes and the young woman was also sympathetic.Thank you to Dr Bloomberg and all the staff ." It is easy to share with oneshappiness but it takes special people to share ones sorrow."

We have been clients of Drs Jeff and Katy since they bought the practice from Dr Pearl. We were very wary of new doctors as our dogs are our fur kids. I specifically brought in my most nervous dog to see how he would be treated. Dr Jeff introduced himself and sat down on the floor. He talked and petted until my boy was calm and ok with an examination. I knew then that these were caring people. I have known most of the staff for YEARS.. They are friendly, helpful and work hard to make our visits as stress free as possible. We have several dogs and breed occasionally. Breeding is very time consuming and can be very stressful. When we had a new pup with feeding issues, Katy volunteered to take the pup home with her to continue to tube feed. You dont get that type of care with just anyone. They have been there for us always. They go above and beyond to help. I have been there when they will get on the phone to confer with another vet to be sure they have covered everything they can. It isnt an extra charge, it is them, doing the very best they can for their patients. I have laughed and cried with them and their staff. I would not hesitate to send my friends or anyone who asked to them. In the last few months we have moved. I love the area but we are too far to go back to Drs Jeff and Katy... although I am sure the vets I have met are very qualified, it will take a lot to have anywhere near the confidence I have had with them. They and their staff are like family and we miss them very much. If you want a "vet" you can find one. If you want doctors that will break their backs and give everything possible to your fur kid, go to Drs Jeff and Katy. We miss you!

I am most pleased with Drs. Jeff and Katie Bloomberg at Schaumburg Veterinary Hospital. I started seeing them when they bought the practice from Dr. Pearl at Park-Wise and was so happy that I finally found vets that truly love animals. Schaumburg Veterinary Hospital is now owned by them and they have brought their wonderful expertise to this hospital. When we had to put down my agility champion dog 4 years ago, Dr. Jeff was caring and sensitive in this difficult situation for us. He is so into his clients that a few weeks after Daphne passed, Dr. Jeff called us to tell us about a dog that he saw that was up for adoption that reminded him of our Daphne and thought maybe we would be interested. I was shocked that he thought of us and at the same time impressed of his personable interaction with his clients. Seven months later I had to put my mixed breed down and Dr. Katie was there for me with hugs and tears. In my whole adult life owning dogs, I have never experienced such warm and genuine veterinarians as I have with Drs. Jeff and Katie. Dr. Jeff also helped save the life of my daughters cat which we were so grateful. I would never go to another vet after having the wonderful service and medical expertise I receive at Schaumburg Veterinary Hospital. The receptionists, Sharon, Kim and Diane know us by name and are very friendly and helpful. Its a no-brainer - if you want excellent care and honest, professional, and expert veterinary services, then you want to go to Schaumburg Veterinary Hospital.

My dog has been sick twice now, and I took him to this vet. I dont understand how the other reviews here praise this vet, vet techs, or front desk employees. They were very cold towards my sick dog and showed no sympathy for him being sick. I understand they have a job to do, but every other vet Ive been to in the past would at least pet him or comfort him. When I first brought him in the vet tech just pointed to the scale and said "just go weigh him in" and walked away. The vet tech in the examination room did not pet him, comfort him in any way, and really even acknowledge that he was there! The veterinarian had a similar attitude. My puppy was nervous about being there in the first place, and their cold attitude was not appricated. Secondly, this veterinarian recommends procedures and testing that is NOT necessary. My puppy had no diahrea and the vet even extracted a solid poop, but still recommended an I.V. and hospitalization for his sickness. After I started asking why the I.V. was necessary he agreed it might not be. On top of that, he recommended an X-RAY for my puppy who swallowed some animal poop and had an infection. After asking about the X-RAY he said it would be necessary incase he swallowed a foreign object which is caught in his throat.. I know he didnt swallow a foreign object! Because of all of these things I would NOT recommend this vet to anyone. Give them a call or stop in before bringing your pet there and youll immediately see what I mean.

My experience at the Schaumburg Veterinary Hospital has exceeded my expectations. I currently have two dogs and a "very old cat." No matter the reason for my visit, I always feel like a valued customer. Whether my appointments are for a regular check up or a more serious concern I know my animals will receive top professional care. From the moment I call in, until I check out I know my pets health is a top priority. Dr.s Jeff and Katy Bloomberg are top in their field. They are up to date with their practice and use the latest technologies to provide exceptional care. Like most pet owners, there are times when we have to face more difficult times with our pets. At these times confidence in your vet is gold. These doctors have always helped me make the healthiest and humane decisions for my animals. I always feel educated about the best care for my dogs and cat thanks to the doctors. They are gentle and patient with both the pets and their owners. They have been life savers and been there with me at the saddest times. The level of professionalism in this practice CANNOT be beat. I will always trust them with the care of my pets. I am grateful for the entire staff. Lastly, I would like to add that their fees are affordable and reasonable. I will never go anywhere else.
